"Well, I suppose you could say mummy dearest broke my heart when she decided to love Adele instead of me. But it was a lesson and taught me to never let myself be that vulnerable to someone again. So in a way, I'm grateful."

Holly didn’t often choose to allow herself to get drunk. Sure, she enjoyed going out and partying with the best of them, but part of her was such a control freak that the thought of actively choosing not to be in control of herself and her surroundings wasn’t exactly a pleasant one. But after running into Emir earlier, Holly needed a distraction. 

She was halfway through her third very fruity, but still somehow strong cocktail when she caught sight of a very familiar head of brunette hair making its way to Moonie’s makeshift stall. She didn’t know what exactly compelled her forwards, probably the alcohol, but Holly found herself stumbling over to her sister, leaning against the bar and whispering conspiratorially, “Emir is here.”
