Just a small snippet of some ramblings I wrote the other night. Also sorry if it's messy, I'm using mobile. It took me a lot of courage to actually post my writing. It's about my Ryder's best friend, Adelynne~

Don't be stupid

"Look here," instructed Lexi- Adelynne's eyesight strained as she struggled to keep up with the doctors hand. "Honestly you cannot keep bursting through enemy lines like that, you are not indestructible; you need to stop being so careless it's going to get you seriously hurt and I won't always be around to help you." Adelynne had stopped listening shortly after Lexi had begun scolding her, she is aware she is wreckless but the world won't wait for her or the Pathfinder to come up with a secure plan. Lexi sighed deeply, noticing that she had obviously stopped paying attention a while ago- "Adelynne, please just listen for a few short minutes.."

Adelynne still had her eyes fixed on her hands, examining her fresh cuts and bruises, her head pounding and ears slightly ringing. She never even noticed Lexi had left the room, defeated that she would not acknowledge her concerns.

She felt a swat at her back and the familiar voice calling out to her, in the usual agitated tone thay came with Adelynne's wreckless behavior. "Hey dumbass, what the hell were you thinking back there?" Adelynne turned around slowly, as her neck was strained from the fight. She could only see Vetra peering down at her, with a scolding look- she chuckled softly in an attempt to lighten the mood "Vee, you know me, shoot first think-" Vetra angrily cut her off not satisfied with her response. "Yeah that's just it, you do not think" her voice raising, Adelynne went back to staring at her hands unable to look Vetra in the eyes- she knows she messed up, she's just too stubborn to admit her actions had consequences. "Addi, you are not a one man army, you are not indestructible, and you certainly are not disposable," Vetra's voice softened, her anger was replaced with fear and anxiety. Adelynne gathered the courage to look up, to see her love's expression. She could see Vetra was hurting, Adelynne couldn't bare to see the love of her life this way, she never meant to scare her. She shifted her body so she was facing Vetra, intertwining her fingers with the alien's. "Vee, I..." But her voice trailed off before she could get her thoughts into words. "Addi, please don't be so careless like that anymore.. I've lost too many important people I don't want to lose you as well. You and Sid are all I have left." Her voice was soft, almost inaudible and her grasped tightened around Adelynne's hand, the scrapes were stinging but she didn't care. She struggled to stand up, Vetra took notice and helped the injured Adelynne to her feet, gently straightening her afraid she would bruise her even more than she already was. "Vetra I promise you that I will no longer put my life in any more danger than it already is. Which quite frankly is hard to do, I mean c'mon it's in the job description." Adelynne chuckled which made Vetra smirk a little. "Well, as long as you're trying- i really don't want to lose my girlfriend."

Adelynne wrapped her arms around Vetra's waist, pulling her in for a hug, "I love you, Vee,  I really do." Vetra's body relaxed as she fell into Adelynne's comforting embrace,

"I love you too, Addi, just don't be stupid."

Adelynne: Can't you go a hot second without thinking about Jaal, Sara?

Dakota: Hm? I'm not thinking about him!

Adelynne: Then explain that doe-eyed look on your face.

Dakota: I'm just thinking about....the paths I gotta...find

Vetra: Aw, our little girl is in love, Addi.

Dakota: That's not what I'm thinking about.

SAM: Whenever Jaal is around, your heart rate accelerates, your dopamine levels rise-

Dakota: Thank you, SAM

Adelynne: knew it

Childhood best friend of the Pathfinder, Sara, and close friend and contact of Vetra Nyx. Like Dakota, she tries to lighten the mood with witty one-liners and sarcastic retorts.

An incredibly powerful biotic, and had boarded on the Nexus along with Vetra, who managed to get her at the top of the list to be unthawed.

Addie: Uh... nope sorry she is off path...finding

Foster: isnt that her in the background?

Addie: Mmmmmnope, dont think so [click]

Tann: -says anything remotely racist towards Krogan-

Addie: that's some small dick energy

Tann: Pathfinder, do something about your....nuisance

Dakota: Do something about your bigotry then

Lexie: Pathfinder, I need to administer a vaccine before you deploy on your next mission

Dakota: That's neat, counter point.. -deploys escape pod-
