send ✖ for my muse to land on yours during spin the bottle.
sobriety was a thing of the past as the bottle continued to spin in the center of the circle. ever since he’d had to kiss mandy earlier in the game, terry had begun to sink from slightly tipsy into completely wasted. there was something pleasant about it, his constant thoughts and worries subsiding into white noise. he grinned, watching as anthony went up to spin the bottle on his turn..
when the bottle swayed to a stop, pointing straight at terry himself, he wasn’t quite sure how he was supposed to react to it. on one hand, at least this would potentially help to quiet those constant thoughts on what it’d be like to kiss anthony. they were almost becoming too much to deal with - and even harder to try and hide. maybe this would finally help him shake… whatever this was that he’d been feeling towards his best friend. terry placed his drink down on the floor, trying to laugh along with the hoots and hollers of some of the people in the circle, before crossing the circle over to where anthony was sitting. and he kept smiling, because it’s the only thing that’s keeping him from spiraling into questions.
it felt warm in the room, and terry felt oddly soft as he took anthony’s face in his hands, hoping that no one else could see the faint tremble in his hands as he does. this is fine, he keeps saying to himself. it’s just a kiss in a stupid game. it doesn’t change anything.
their mouths come together, warm and moving slowly against one anothers - and for a moment, terry almost loses himself in it. in anthony. but it’s hard to forget that they’re in a room of people, even as he realizes he’s been kissing anthony for much longer than he needed to by the rules of the game. his heart is pounding erratically in his chest, and he knows that if he could’ve, he probably would’ve kept at it. but he can’t, and so terry finally breaks away only when he needs to, curious if it’s dark enough in the room to hide his flushed cheeks.
