It had been hours of preparing, asking his friend's various questions, checking, and worrying, wondering when you were going to come. To make it short, Jisung was a mess. Usually, he was calm, cool, and collected but looking at him now, he was anything but.
He had changed his outfit four times and showered twice within the last six hours because he was sweating so much. He couldn't help it though, how long he had pined after you, the minute he finally got a chance was coming. He just prayed he wouldn't mess it up.
The moment finally came when he had to go meet you, and he had never felt such an intense feeling in his life. It was like he was feeling all of his emotions at once. He was excited, but angry at himself because he knew he was better than this. He was sad because he thought you had only said yes to make him feel better, he was happy because you said yes anyway, he was scared because what if you didn't show up? So many things could go wrong and they all kept replaying in his head.
He got to the movie theatre before you. Something he was mildly thankful for. Then again, the fear that you wouldn't show up came to mind.
He stood there for a few minutes, checking his watch and pacing. As it got closer and closer to the show time, he really started to worry. It was the moment where he thought you weren't coming at all that you showed, running as fast as you could, out of breath and a little sweaty but still gorgeous.
You took his breath away before you even said 'hello'.
You both walked into the theatre, earning a few side-eyes from the staff since the movie had already started but neither of you had noticed. You were both nervous, he was just a tad bit more noticeable.
You went into the screening room, finding a good spot to sit as he got the snacks. He got the normal popcorn along with a lemonade for you and some coca-cola for him. He got out the money once more and the cashier couldn't help but notice how much they were shaking.
"You okay man?" the cashier asked, handing Jisung his change.
"Yea, I think so, just a little nervous," Jisung answered, smiling up at the cashier.
"Hey, don't worry. You've got this." They replied with a wink which replenished Jisung's confidence.
He walked into the dark theatre and squinted, trying to find you. It wasn't until you whispered to him that he did though. You had been waving your hand right in front of his face and he hadn't noticed at all, which was pretty comic to you.
Jisung let out a small giggle as well before sitting down next to you and handing over your lemonade and setting the popcorn between you. He couldn't eat any of it though, he was too anxious to try. He couldn't even pay attention to the movie.
"Are you okay?" You finally leaned over and asked. He was being really stiff. The times you had watched movies with the rest of the boys, he was always talking and when he wasn't, he was snacking. He wasn't doing either now.
Jisung gulped, wishing he didn't have to answer.
"Yeah," he stuttered out while nodding his head.
You smiled before returning to the movie, nudging the popcorn closer to him, suggesting that he eat some. He debated for a moment before plunging his hand in and throwing some in his mouth. After a few repetitions of this, he felt something that was a little more alive than the popped kernels he was looking for. Instead, it was you.
He attempted to pull away but before he could, he felt you grab on. It was strange at first, seeing that a piece of popcorn was currently stabbing him in the wrist, but he still didn't move.
"You looked a little cold," you whispered in his ear, skooching a little closer to him. He was hoping that you hadn't noticed, but since you had, he had no choice but to try to relax as he was holding your hand.
