#9 in the most recebt OC asks for Skye

9. Is your oc afraid of touch or do they actively seek it out? Is there a reason for this? What are the exceptions?

I... Don’t like touch from most people. Most wasters don’t know who will or won’t shove a knife through their ribs if they don’t know you, and I didn’t get close to a lot of folks in my caravan. Now, when I’m grown, that translates into me not really liking getting touched by anybody first. 

... except a certain bright blue ghoul. And the Courier. They can both touch me all they want.

(What Skye means is, “I want smooches and cuddles from exactly two people on this planet”, who are respectively Jacks and Mars, owned by Admin Horns and Admin Egg in that order. They are very picky about who can touch them without their say so.)

🖊️ for Skye please?

Skye is a character I... Kind of came up with on the fly, if I’m being honest. I was in the throes of a good story and wanted to have a hand in it - ask Admin Horns if you want us to spill how that happened.... Me wanting a nonbinary character to echo my own demi girl ass had... a lot to do with it too, and so did a soft spot for Magneto from X-Men. They’re a very quiet character, for someone who could be a warlord in the Wastes with their power over metal. 

They honest to goodness just want to goof off, make cool things and smooch their girlfriend and boyfriend most of the time. Frankly, they’re annoyed when other responsibilities take their two favorite people away from them, especially when it’s possibly life-risking responsibilities.... Or in Jacks’ case, at least, life risking impulses. Jacks and Mars both drag them into a lot of nonsense they would otherwise avoid, but they’re the happiest by their partners’ sides, or with their found family in the Commonwealth. 

A good way to earn their ire for the rest of your very short life is targeting one of these found family members or their partners. Just because Skye just wants to mess around and adventure with their partners doesn’t mean they aren’t extremely dangerous when you - or some exceedingly stupid pack of Raiders, Gunners or BOS, they’re all the same to Skye - go after some of the few people they’ve felt deeply connected to in their life. 

Just like a good big bunch of ‘Wealth citizens, Skye will kill to protect what they hold dear. Unlike most ‘Wealth citizens.... Well. They’re damn hard to kill, what with being borderline bulletproof.
