So, what is the Next Gen AU?

The Next Gen AU is the result of me being way too heavily invested in two otome games that you can't even play anymore (although there are play throughs online-). Just like Destiny Ninja 2 focuses on the descendants (or grandkids, the game isn't super clear) of the guys from the first game, the Next Gen AU skips a generation and covers the often chaotic lives of the DN2 guy's grandkids. The basic premise is that years in the future the characters from the first two games are revived and must rely on help from the current generation (and a few yokai, but we'll get to that later) to figure out who's behind it all and just why they were brought back. Oh, and did I mention it's now a crossover with Mononoke Kiss? Because yeah that happens, and a big part of the au besides the emphasis on family is the Next Gens working with the yokais so that they can live together in peace. This also leads to a lot of the Next Gens becoming romantically involved with yokais, but that's a post for another day.

Despite this seemingly healthy balance though, when he falls in love he usually falls hard, and can struggle to find the right time to confess his feelings.
