have you seen the titanosaur skeleton in NYC? My sister lives there and we saw it and it was just massive

I have indeed! I’ve been lucky enough to see it twice since it was installed and wow is it ever impressive! It really puts into perspective how giant dinosaurs could get.

And for those wondering, this is the skeleton in question;

Not really an ask but do you share the same amount of disappointment as I do in Jurassic Park 3 and their portrayal of the Spinosaurus 😭

I mean, in retrospect yeah, it’s a shame that’s the version of Spinosaurus everyone has in their minds. 

BUT seeing as this is the Jurassic Park universe, it doesn’t really bother me. The JPIII Spinosaurus is badass in its own way, plus we have reason to believe it’s not even a pure Spino anyways.

June 1st marks the beginning of a very special month for dinosaur lovers, Jurassic June! Now as most of you know the queue is set to post one thing a day, but for this special occasion everyday a piece of Jurassic Park related content will get posted alongside your daily dose of prehistoric goodness. Can you recommend a source for accurate miniature dinosaur models? Considering making a Jurassic terrarium with real plants and Dino models.

For sure!An easy choice is the Safari Ltd. Feathered Dinos toob, it’s got a great selection of tiny accurate dinosaurs and, like its name implies, several are feathered! Secondly you can try your luck on eBay, it can be a lot cheaper than retail stores and normally has a huge selection. Lastly there’s always Everything Dinosaur, a great website with a HUGE variety of dinosaur figurines.

Can I go on a rant about the depictions of Magyarosaurus as slow and dumb with no defenses against predators? Prey have strategies too and I wonder if its small size made Magyarosaurus able to run faster than its mainland cousins.

Absolutely!

I’m not 100% sure on Magyarosaurus’ mobility abilities but I do share in your frustration of it, and other prey animals, being depicted as utterly defenseless against their attackers.
