Member: Wonwoo (I have issues I know lol)
Genre: Angst (I already told you I have issues)
A/N: This is a v old scenario that I wrote for my personal blog and that I’m posting here since I have no time to write the new chapter of The Runaways, I’m so sorry c.c I hope you’ll like it, give it a heart&reblog <3
“You want some coffee?” Wonwoo asked you from the other side of the practice room.
“Yes, please” You answered with a grateful smile
If there was something that really gave you the sensation of safety and peace, that was coffee. And your boyfriend know that.
Anytime you had a hard time, the stress was just too much to handle, you simply took a blanket and sitted on the couch drinking your needed coffee, slowly to taste better his bitter savor. And after that you could even move an entire mountain by yourself and not feel tired.
Coffee was the only certainty in your life.
Everything in this world changes, but coffee doesn’t.
Wonwoo gave you the warm cup and just by inhaling the scent you felt more relaxed.
He wrapped you in his arms as he waited for you to drink it.
That was paradise.
Just a quiet day, with Wonwoo and a cup of coffee.
…And the manager who just entered the room.
-Wonwoo-ya we got to go.-
You glanced at him with a frown.
-We have the M/V shooting today, didn’t I tell you?- he explained.
-Actually no, but nevermind. See you later.- But even if he didn’t tell you, you should’ve imagined it. They were about to have a comeback they were working on for months, indeed lately the only places where you and Wonwoo “hanged out” were Pledis Building, Seventeen’s dorm or the cafès near them. Not that the situation was bothering you, but you definetely missed having those walks at the park, going to the cinema together and having dinner at the first fast food that came to your mind.
While you were lost in your thoughts, Wonwoo took his backpack and various stuff he needed.
“You want a ride home?” He asked getting closer to you.
“No thanks, I’ll just walk.” You answered.
“Okay, see you later at the dorm then”.
You nodded with a slight smile and he kissed your forehead.
Lastly he peeped from outside the door “Love you.”
“Love you too”
And he left with a smile.
You couldn’t resist too much in that place all alone, you were used to see it crowded by all the thirteen members and being just by yourself there was extremely quiet and also kind of creepy.
You rushed out of the building and started walking slower only when you were out of it, you stopped at the convenience store nearby to buy yourself something to eat for dinner and then you headed to the guys’ dorm.
Once there you sighed of annoyance.
That place was a mess.
And as you placed the bag with your dinner on the only vacant spot on the kitchen counter overhung by the worst mess you’ve ever seen, you started cleaning.
It seemed like a tornado had passed by, reducing their dorm in a disaster that words couldn’t describe.
You folded the blankets, took out the trash, cleaned the stoves and dusted all around and by the time you finished it was just time to eat.
“At least I kept myself busy” it would have definetely be hell boring being there with nothing to do.
After dinner you took the 4th coffee of the day, feeling istantly better as the warm sensation ran through your body.
You tried to stay awake as much as possible, and waited the guys to return, but after a couple hours of watching some random TV programs and reading while laying on Wonwoo’s bed and despite the amount of caffeine in your body, you were just to tired and it wasn’t even midnight that you fell asleep.
You didn’t even dare to look what time it was when you felt a pair of warm arms hugging you from behind, you just kept sleeping with a hint of a smile.
But that smile faded away the next morning, when you woke up next to you there was nothing but a note written in hurry just couple hours before.
“Yesterday we weren’t done with the recording, I’ll call you during lunch”.
Since you had time before your workshift at the library, you calmly took your time with the breakfast, a long relaxing shower and a cup of coffee.
You slipped into your yesterday’s clothes and slowly walked yourself to work.
The library was a bit crowded that day, and time flew until the lunch break, when Wonwoo called you.
-Y/N-ah, how are you?- he greeted in a sigh.
-Fine, how was recording today?-
-Aish… We have still some of it left, and after it our managers want to hold a meeting with all the members.-
-Oh… I see.-
-I think you should stay at your place tonight.-
-Yeah, I guess you’re right.-
-Ehi, ehm… I guess I have to go.-
-Okay, work hard.-
-… Sure.-
“He didn’t even thanked me for having clean up the dorm.” You thought. “Maybe the didn’t even noticed when they got back last night”.
You waited for a call during dinner, but it didn’t came. Not even a short text.
“This comeback is keeping them busier than expected.” And it was understandable, it was already a year and a half that Seventeen had debuted and they gained more and more success during this period of activities.
But even the day after he didn’t call.
And the day after it too.
You recived just short texts where he just reassured you that he was allright and that that night would have been better if you’d been at your place.
In the end it passed a week that you didn’t see each other.
And the following days you spent them between work and passing by Pledis building to check if everything was fine.
The third week Seventeen finally made their comeback, and things just got worse for you and Wonwoo.
Between fansign events all over the country, recordings at music programs and variety shows, it ended up that you couldn’t see your boyfriend for a whole month.
At first it didn’t really bothered you, you knew that being in a boy band in kpop industry can be kind of overwhelming and being in a relationship in these conditions wasn’t really easy, these were things you already knew when you started hanging out with Wonwoo.
But you realized that you couldn’t stand anymore that situation when even coffee didn’t have the same taste anymore, when the only thing that actually was supposed to reassure you didn’t work at all, that’s when you accomplished that you were just living your life passively, waiting for a call or a text that were just a couple every day.
And the same was for that day.
You were taking a bath after coming back home from work, you relaxed your muscles immersing yourself in the hot and perfuming water with the phone balancing on the edge of the tub, again waiting for that call.
When you heard it ringing you felt like waking up from a deep sleep, maybe you really fell asleep in the bathtub without even noticing.
You picked istantly, even if you didn’t look at the name on the screen, you knew who it was.
-Wonwoo?-
-Ehi.- He muttered.
A sad smirk appeared on your face -How was today?-
-Quite tiring, and you? You had to attend an extra shift at work, why?-
-One of my co-workers called just before I left telling that he was ill. Do you have any other schedule today?-
-Yes, we have an interview in tonight, now we’re at the dorm, we’re living in a couple hours.-
You sighed sadly -Get it.-
-I’m sorry…- he started, but you didn’t really want to hear that again.
-I know, just… don’t worry.-
-I do worry…- he contested -…I miss you so much.-
-I miss you too.-
-I’m going to have a shower now. We practiced all day and I may kill someone for how much I stink.- he laughed in the end and you joined him, but both of them were pretty sad and empty laughs.
-I’ll text you after the interview, bye babe.-
-Okay, bye.-
As the call ended you threw the phone on the ground, and drowned yourself in the tub, mixing the frothy water with your tears.
Things weren’t about to go on like this, both of you’d be gone totally crazy.
I miss him so much.
What can I do, more than wait for him?
I can’t do anything more than being here in my loneliness, waiting for him to come back.
…Or can I?
Just as these thoughts crossed your mind, you got out of the bathtub, searching for the clothes you tossed on the ground before and got dressed.
You left your house in a hurry without even care of taking the keys, and without even caring of the weather, because it was raining cats and dogs. You were completely wet the same moment you arrived on the street and started running.
-…Y/N?!- Mingyu opened the dorm’s door with any expectation of seeing you. But as the understandable and intelligent kid he was, he just stepped aside with a sincere smile drawn on his face. -He’s in his room.- he just said.
You took off your shoes kicking them off and rushed toward the bedroom.
You didn’t even knocked on his door, and found him wearing some old sweatpants in the middle of changing his clothes, giving his back to you.
-Yah! Can’t you guys just wait for me to…- When he turned around the words just died in his mouth, obviously not counting to see you. Especially seeing you soaking wet, heavy breathing and eyes swollen red for crying.
-…Oh my God.- he whispered as he came to you, capturing you in his arms. That’s when you started crying again.
-I’m sorry.- you sobbed. -I just couldn’t handle it anymore.-
-I know, I know…- He patted your hair, holding you tight. -I missed you too.-
You got away form him to stare at him right in the eyes, finally you could drown in something more pleasurable than loneliness.
-Never. Ever. Ask me to wait for you somewhere else than here. I may go crazy for this.-
-Never again, I swear it.- he chuckled and closed the gap between your lips.
And you were glad to taste again something warmer than coffee.
