Hi! So I have an male character who is ace, and I did a bit of research on what it is to be asexual, and the website I found said that some asexuals don't date or have sex, but is that too stereotypical to have my character be uninterested in dating and sex?
Alright, so my initial response to this got very long, and long story short you’ve inspired about five masterposts. Congratulations!
The short answer is: no, an ace character who doesn’t date or have sex isn’t inherently stereotypical. However, you should think about why this particular ace character doesn’t date or have sex; if you asked an asexual person why they didn’t date/have sex their answer would be more complex than just “well I’m asexual and we don’t do that.” His exact reasons will also impact his behavior: if he’s not dating because the entire idea gives him shuddery feelings like his life is being invaded, he’ll respond differently than if he’s not dating because he gave up on finding a compatible partner.
It’s also worth mentioning as a caution that in general, asexuality deals with sex and aromanticism deals with dating. Your ace character may not necessarily be aromantic (and aro characters may not be ace). “Asexuals are all aromantic” or “asexuality and aromanticism are the same thing” is a stereotype, so if you’re not familiar with aromanticism I’d suggest researching that as well, so if you do make your character aro as well as ace, you can do it on purpose. (Again, an ace character who’s also aro isn’t a problem! But it should be done intentionally, rather than because people think they’re the same thing.) If you are familiar with aromanticism, of course, you can skip this step (or rather, have already done it).
I hope this was helpful! if you have any more questions on asexuality or aromanticism feel free to submit them to us, and if you’d like some ideas on why an asexual character may or may not date or have sex, keep an eye out for those masterposts.
I was wondering if you had any advice for a straight girl writing characters all along the spectrum. I want to make sure I'm doing it right.
Hey there anon! We’re very glad to hear you’re writing characters from all over the LGBT+ spectrums, and we’re especially glad you want to do it right. Unfortunately without knowing more specifics about your characters there’s a limit to what we can do, but there are a few universal rules.
1: research! The fact that you’re asking is a very good sign. Find blogs and articles written by people with the same identities you’re writing about, and read them. Once you’ve done some reading, look for blogs (articles, etc.) written by people with the relevant identity and to/for people of the same identity; they tend to include more nuance and less 101, because the focus becomes “supporting each other in all our variety” instead of “presenting an easy-to-understand face to people with power over us.” (Start with the 101! You’ll be very confused otherwise. But don’t stop there.) Feel free to send us lots of questions too.
2: keep in mind that all of your LGBT+ characters are individuals before they’re LGBT+. They will have hobbies and interests and likes and dislikes, berserk buttons and something guaranteed to delight them in any circumstance. They’ll have financial concerns, catch colds, and so on; they may have intersectional identities. Some people do choose to turn their LGBT+ identity into a dominant aspect of their life (getting a job as an activist, for example), but most don’t. If a character never has a conversation without making some reference to how (gay/lesbian/bi/pan/poly/trans/ace/aro/etc.) they are, you’re probably overdoing it.
Hi, I've read through the different terms used for LGBT people but I'm still having trouble understand what category one of my characters falls into. He was born gay but he mentally can't bring himself to be with another man due to being raised in a religious household. He is still "in the closet". He is alone because he doesn't want to be with a woman and won't be with the man he likes. Does not have sex with anyone of any gender. Would he be gay or asexual..? I respectfully thank you!!
Historically, sexuality has sometimes been measured according to both attraction/desire and behavior (the Kinsey Reports used this method), but the current standard is that a character’s sexuality will be a description of who they are attracted to, and their behavior is actually irrelevant.
(There’s the complicating factor that as readers we usually have to figure out a character’s orientation based on their behavior, but as the author you know what’s going on in his head, so we’ll set that aside for now.)
What you want to look at here is sexual attraction, sex drive and romantic attraction.
Sexual attraction is, basically, when your character looks at someone else and thinks they’re hot/sexy/attractive in a way that makes the idea of having sex with them appealing.
Sex drive is libido; it’s the urge to have sex, unrelated to any individual person.
Romantic attraction is something like the emotional parallel to sexual attraction; it’s the desire to be in a romantic relationship with a particular person.
It’s worth noting that “who your character has sex with” isn’t on the list. There are plenty of celibate people (that is, people who don’t have sex) who aren’t asexual, and plenty of asexual people who do have sex.
If your character experiences no sexual attraction to anyone, and/or if your character has no sex drive, then he’s asexual (although he may or may not have ever even heard the term). If he does experience attraction and have a sex drive, even if he doesn’t act on it, then he’s gay (or at least he’s not asexual, but I’m assuming you’ve ruled out straight, bi and pan already).
Now, the fun complicating factor: he could be both gay and asexual, at the same time.
Romantic attraction parallels sexual attraction in that there are romantic orientations. You can be interested in relationships with men, women, both, or neither. (Nonbinary people of course can fit in in various ways, but that’s a whole different essay.) Interest in neither is aromanticism, interest in both (or all) is biromanticism (or panromanticism), and interest in men or women is heteroromanticism or homoromanticism, depending on your character’s gender.
It’s pretty common for asexual people to refer to their romantic orientation by calling themselves gay, lesbian, bi, pan, or straight. So if your character is asexual and homoromantic, he could easily identify as gay and asexual.
Which part of his identity he emphasizes or cares about most depends on the person; I identify primarily as asexual and don’t usually bother to describe my romantic orientation, but I also have a friends who identify (essentially) as The Gayest Lesbian To Ever Lesbian, with a footnote clarifying that they happen to be a (respectively) asexual lesbian/demisexual lesbian.
I can’t tell you for sure what your character’s orientation or identity is; that takes knowledge of your character that I don’t have. But these are the main factors to pay attention to when deciding.
I hope this was helpful, and wish you luck with your story!
Thank you so much for your answer about my character. Her family is incredibly supportive and have allowed her to legally change her name from Jamie to Isabelle. She's tomboyish like her triplet cis sister. How soon is a child allowed to go on hormones? I don't want to put misinformation out to the public in my book.
Hello, Para here!
We’re glad we could help! Super Mysterious Assistant is looking for good resources for you, but could you give us some details like the country, state and ideally city your story is set in, as well as the time period? That would help narrow it down a lot.
No one specializing in gay/lesbian or bisexual questions?
Not yet, anyway. We are still taking gay/lesbian and bisexual questions, but when those get much past basic mythbusting we’ll go to pester gay/lesbian and bisexual friends to confirm, expand on, or correct our answers, essentially.
We are currently talking to someone who may soon join us as a bisexual expert, and Felix has some experience with bisexuality (as well as friends to ask), but we’re still keeping an eye out for potential gay, lesbian, and aromantic experts.
This is a coowned LGBT-themed blog, branching off of the ScriptX family of blogs started by ScriptMedic. We’re here to answer all your fiction- and writing-related questions on LGBT topics!

Host: WELCOME TO THE FIRST ANNUAL CHARITY CARNIVAL! This is our first event that will start our donations to fund the new and larger budget for Beacon Hills finest! Some come in and take a seat, our participants make their way to the stage and sit behind the officers already seated.
Hannah: walked in and sighed, looking around the group that had come, most of the place already full. Her eyes scanning for an open seat, taking it and sitting, her hands folded in her lap. She looked over the group on stage and laughed to herself at how uncomfortable almost all of them were.
Veronica: stepped in the area with an annoyed glare present in her eyes. She had better things to do but Kacey was up for auction and being her beta meant she should be there. Veronica stood toward the back trying to avoid awkward conversations.
Dameon: was on the stage already, in a nice formal suit. He came across Samantha on the stage as well. He walked up to her tapping on her shoulder. "You're in this silly thing too?" he said smiling. Glad he found someone to talk too on stage
Derek: was more then unhappy with being up on this stage, he not only had work related things to do, but he hated leaving Carter home after everything. He kept silent though, a neutral expression on his face, his eyes scanning the crowd, seeing Hannah, and then hearing Dameon's voice behind him, and then his eyes fell o Veronica, it took all he had not to growl, to get up and tear her apart, but that was his wolf fueling his rage, and he needed to hold it together right now.
Samantha: looked up and notice Dameon, giving him a grin. "Yes, I don't how I got involved." the brunette laughed and scoot over offering him a seat. "Sit with me, I don't know who else is in this silly thing."
Marcus: decided it'd be an interesting thing to do, dress up.nicely. It was better than sitting bored at the house. He thought over his conversation with Peter and smiled quietly as he walked in the room, and headed to the stage to get his badge. The alpha scanned over the crowd and smirked. It was too perfect he saw the other two there. Kacey and Derek. This would be quite the night as he followed and saw the vampire and saw Samantha. He kept to himself though
Saraya: heard the news and couldn't not come, Marcus would be auctioned off for a date and that had to be the most hilarious thing that could happen at the moment. She entered the area, sitting close to the back and just held back her laughter seeing Marcus sitting up amount the other alphas.
Host: It is almost time to start, so could everyone please hurry and take their seats, so we can start.
Veronica: gave a heavy sigh and quickly took a seat hoping this night ended without her being mauled by a certain Hale.
Lydia: took a seat, adjusting her floral dress before crossing her legs and waited for the event to start.
Kacey: had no idea how she'd been roped into this, and was starting to regret it as she took her seat and looked out over the crowd of people. She wasn't comfortable with crowds, and especially not with being on stage in front of a crowd. She was sure this would be an interesting experience. She noticed Veronica in the back of the room and gave her a nod and a tight-lipped smile, and then glanced over at Derek, wondering whether he was angry at her for claiming Veronica.
Stiles: walked up onto the stage and grabbed an empty seat. He took a quick look around and spotted Marcus, "Shit.." He muttered under his breath and sunk lower in his seat, avoiding any eye contact his way.
Derek: turned his head at the sound of his name, his eyes drifting to Marcus before he looked around his officers, before he stood and moved beside Samantha, Lydia being close to where he now was, "Hello Lydia." He didn't question Dameon, making it seem like he didn't do it to alarm her.
Veronica: saw Kacey give her a smile and saw how nervous she seemed to be. Deciding to make things interesting Veronica got a sudden thought. "Hey Derek where's your little boy toy?" she whispered out trying to get some kind of reaction from the stoic and broody man.
Derek's eyes lifted at Stiles' voice, before he gestured with his head to where him, Lydia, Samantha, and Dameon were
Marcus smirked seeing the discomfort on the vampire's face was hilarious. He wasn't going to start anything though, not with watchful eyes, that and for once he actually wanted a quiet evening with just a splash of drama. He instead, took a seat next to Lydia. "Hello Dear. Looking lovely tonight." he complimented the the strawberry blonde adjusting his tie so it wasn't choking him.
Samantha looked at Dameon with a smile, smoothing out her white blouse. "It's not too much is it?" She asked, noticing it was getting crowded around her but didn't question it. "You look dashing though, where's hannah?"
Derek tensed as Veronica's voice made it to his ears, his head snapping to her face, a low growl rolling through his chest, "Kacey.." A warning to the other alpha near by
Lydia looked at Derek, "Hello Derek...and Marcus." She said looking between them with a tight smile. "Why thank you Marcus, you look...handsome." She said giving him a small smile.
Dameon shook his head. "No, you look fine." he said pointing out Hannah in the crowd. "I finally asked her the big question." he said pointing in on her ring. figuring he'd tell Samantha about it. He turned to the Stilinski. "Sup Dude?" he said not really into talking in Lingo but figuring he'd give it a shot. That in itself made him feel a bit old.
Kacey watched the others' interactions, noticing how uncomfortable everyone seemed to be around Marcus. Her head snapped up when she heard Veronica taunting Derek. She stared at the beta with wide eyes, giving her a quick shake of the head. "Veronica, stop it," she said, turning to look at Derek and adding, "Sorry."
Stiles shrugged, "Kind of...just chilling?" He trailed off and gave up on the conversation seeing that he was involved with the tiny brunette's convo. Stiles leaned forward and rubbed his tired eyes, wondering what he got himself into.
Veronica looked over at Kacey her smirk growing. "C'mon Kacey. Just having a little fun with the big scary alpha," Veronica said in a taunting voice.
Host "Alright, settle down everyone! We'll start with the nominated individuals, and then saving the best for last, our officers. So can we please get..." she looked down at the list and smiled, "Dameon Connors to the front of the stage?" Her head turning back and waiting for him to stand
Derek tightened his fist against his thigh and he narrowed his eyes at her, ignoring the fact Marcus was conversing with Lydia, because Veronica was taunting him, and he was already on edge being up here
Dameon looked Samantha. "I know, a child and soon to be marriage..I'm happy for sure." he said to Samantha. "You will, and yes I'll tell you. It was in Paris." he said giving a little bit of it away. He turned to Stiles. "Sorry, I'm terrible at conversating with two people. That's good, you in this silly thing as well." he said talking to Stiles. He overheard the conversation or the taunts to Derek. He didn't know what happened, but he assumed the blonde wolf was responsible for the act. He sighted as his name was called as he walked up to the front with the host.
Veronica laughed and sat back as the auction began still shooting smirks at Derek.
Marcus nodded. "Thank you Dear." he said overhearing the conversations. The only one that seemed to be interesting was that the town alpha's emissary was harmed, and he wasn't here. He could feel it, his wolf tensing up. He zoned in on the blonde wolf. He wouldn't even have to do anything. He'd let the blonde wolf do his actions for him. He kept his face straight as he chatted with Lydia. "So how's the little one?" he asked. He was aware of her child. figuring he'd keep the conversation light.
Host The hostess smiled as Dameon walked up beside her, a smirk on her lips as she turned to the crowd, "We'll start the bid off at $100." She spoke into the microphone, a hand raising, "125." another and then another. "135." her brows raising in excitement
Lydia nodded, feeling the tension in the air but kept herself calm. "She's doing fine...getting to the point of taking her first step. She should be here somewhere." She said looking at the crowd, trying to find her little girl. But stopped when she notice they were starting the bidding. "You excited for someone bidding for you?"
Samantha smiled letting him walk up toward the host to start the bidding. Slowly, she started to bite her nails, a nervous habit of hers that she started when she was in middle school.
Dameon stood as he smiled at the hands that were raising. Being polite to the hands as he scanned his eyes on Veronica. He glared at her. Dameon and Derek may not have always got a long but Carter was Hannah's friend and the fact that she might of done something didn't please him too well.
Hannah watched the woman raise their hands around her, she almost wanted to just punch someone, until she stood. "$1,000!"
Marcus looked out in the crowd seeing the beta wolf he had gotten in a fight with and pointed them out. "There they are." he said seeing Jackson tense up. "Yes, I'm excited it's better than being home alone tonight." he said as he sighed. "I'll just move for now, you enjoy your night...Don't want to cause trouble." he said being sincere. Jackson had a baby in his hands and he didn't want the beta to lose it as he got up and sat next to someone else, not realizing he sat next to Stiles as he adjusted the tie again, it still feeling tight.
Lydia looked over at where Marcus was pointing, a full blown smile appeared on her face when she seen her little girl and Jackson. She gave a quick wave then looked at Marcus. "Well...I hope you have a nice night Marcus, don't cause too much trouble." She added a laugh at the end and continued waiting.
Dameon rolled his eyes, not really caring about the wolf as he saw people bid and bid. He saw Hannah stand up and he smiled at her. "I think that's not going to be beat? Sold?" he asked the host.
Stiles raised an eyebrow at Hannah who shouted out a thousand. A low whistle escaped and looked at who sat next to him. His eyes widen as he looked around nervously and just kept tense. Praying for this to go by quickly. "Uh...how's...it going?" He muttered not meeting his eyes.
Host The host laughed and nodded, "Sold to the woman in the black coat.."
Jackson took a deep breath relieved he got up and moved. He smiled as Val made a wave to Lydia. The baby girl giggled. He kissed the top of her forehead. Seeing Hannah, win Dameon made him laugh as he sat back. The smell of the wolf next to him got to his nose.
Dameon went and gave hannah a big kiss, as he went and sat back down next to Samantha. Having to stay on the stage for the event
Host "Alright, now that is settled, the next person on the list is Kacey Preston, please come on down!" the host said smiling at her, waving her to come forth.
Jackson smiled looking up at the crowd of people surprised at what it says, hearing the next name be called. Then hearing the wolf. "Thank you. Her name is Valery-Rose...although you can call her Val, most people do." he said seeing Val giggle and wave at Veronica. "I'm Jackson." He extended his hand out to introduce himself.
Veronica reached her hand out "I'm veronica." A nervousness passed through her. "Can I hold Val?"
Host The host smiled as she looked at the crowd. "We're starting the big at 100$." she said as hands began to raise up. "130, 150, 170." she said waiting on others to bid
Jackson He shook her hand. "Nice to meet you Veronica." he said pulling Val out of her pouch. "Sure." he said Val reaching her arms out. Giggling still at the woman. "I'd pull your hair back, though She's a hair puller sometimes." he mentioned, remembering sometimes Val had grabbed and tugged on his hair.
Veronica pushed her hair back and with nervous hands took Val from Jackson. Veronica felt a genuine smile cross her face for the first time in months as she held the small child in her arms. "She beautiful."
Jackson noticed the nervousness in Veronica, although he noticed that a lot with people wanting to hold Valery. He smiled wide seeing her smile. "Thank you again." he said as he heard Valery smile up at the lady. Enough to know she was safe with another person holding her.
Veronica "So i'm assuming your wife is on stage?"
Jackson "Not wife, but hopefully someday." he said pointing out the strawberry blonde on the stage.
Veronica "Oh uhm sorry." Veronica fidgeted handing Val back to Jackson. " I'm uhm going to go for a small walk it was nice meeting you Jackson." Veronica stood walking away from her chair but staying close enough so she could still see and hear the auction.
Host The host looked out seeing another hand. "400$" a handsome gentleman had said. The host smiled. "400$ Going once..." "Going twice..." "Sold." she said after a few moments. "A date with the lovely Kacey Preston goes to the man in the black tux." pointing to the bidder
Host "Next person shall be, Stiles Stilinski!" she said reading off the next name, getting a round of applause.
Stiles awkwardly smiles at the crowd as he stood up and walked toward the host, looking around flashing a smile on his face. He never did good in the spot light and this made it worse.
Jackson saw Stiles and laughed to himself. "Too perfect stilinski." he said to himself
Jackson laughed, raising Valery up, placing a bid for Valery
Stiles raised his eyebrows in astonishment at the price going up. "Well..that's something." He muttered adding a laugh as he seen Jackson raise Valery's hand. "Hey Jackson, she's a bit young for me. Don't you think?"
Jackson shrugged. "I trust you enough to know you won't pull anything plus I'm helping you out." he yelled.
Host The host raised her eyebrow and smiled. "600!" anyone else want to add one? seeing no other hands raise. "600 to the young lady over there." The host said pointing to the baby girl.
Isaac came in after hearing the laughter. He was dressed up himself, He figured since he was off work he could be here. Considering Derek was here, and other people he knew. He saw it was pretty packed as he looked for a seat. Seeing a familiar black haired girl, sitting next to Saraya. "Hi there." he smiled odwn at her
Host She looked back over the list and then looked behind her, "Can Marcus King come up to the stage?" She looked over the man before turning to the crowd. "Starting bid will be $200!"
Marcus smirked as he hopped up walking to the stage. Giving a very playful smirk to the crowd. Waiting for the bids
Saraya was enjoying the event, sitting back, her legs crossed as she was watching. She was overhearing the wolf behind her, who was stirring a pot she really shouldn't, but she wasn't aware of the familiar wolf walking up to her. She looked up at Isaac and smiled, "Hey there." She looked him over and then back to the stage, "Looks like our alpha's are up for sale." She laughed and nudged him, letting her arm rest against his, raising her hand to start the bids for Marcus, raising the price, before turning to Isaac, "How are you?"
Host The hostess looked over the crowd, seeing a hand rise "210!" and then the eruption of hands went up, "350!" more and more hands, three main ones fighting over the man beside her, "540!"
Isaac sat down smiling at her. "Seems like it, who do you think is going to win the most sales? and yes. I'm going be biased." he laughed linking his hands with hers. "I'm doing fine, just got off work. How are you?" he asked letting her relax against him.
Marcus smiled at all the bids, surprised Saraya raised her hands to start the bid. He then saw the other beta wolf come up to Saraya and sit down. It'd stirred his wolf a bit. She was interacting with the enemy. Although personally he could care less his wolf wasn't pleased with it. He worked his jaw trying to ignore it. Putting back a smile
Veronica noticed the mad look on the wolf on stage and noticing it was focused on two people in the crowd she gave a smile. Hmm well thats interesting.
Saraya smiled at the amount of bids going for her alpha as she turned her attention to Isaac, "Hm, might be close between Marcus and Derek." She answered honestly, "Because I can admit Derek has his looks." She complimented as she looked down between their hands, "How was work for you? I'm doing well, just kind enjoying the cool weather." She smiled, glancing at Marcus and giving him a look.
Host She smiled at the amount of people biding on the man, "700!" the woman continuing to bid on him "800!"
Saraya glanced around them, avoiding er own Alpha's eyes for a moment, suddenly aware of the pair of eyes behind her, but she didn't draw attention to the knowledge of it.
Marcus looked around the room waiting seeing the bid go high. He smiled at the one going to 800. Smiles all around as he ignored the beta and Saraya holding hands:
Host The hostess smiled as the bid reached higher then one thousand, "1500!" it going higher then the man in the beginning, "2000!" She looked over the crowd before she stopped, "Going once, going twice....SOLD! to the woman in the red top."
Saraya "Can we have Derek Hale?" she said, wanting them to start on the officers
Host The hostess looked around a little at the outburst and sighed, "Um, can we please have Derek Hale up here?"
Isaac looked at Saraya confused. "Someone's eager." he teased.
Saraya laughed and shrugged, "I'm curious as to if he'll go more then Marcus had."
Marcus smiled as he took his seat, seeing Saraya's outburst made him shake his head and laugh.
Derek sighed and stood, walking up to the woman and stood his hand clasped behind his back, standing straight. He felt his heart pounding because all this attention was on him.
Host The hostess watched the officer rise and come forward before turning with a grin, "Starting bid, 200." Hands shot up, 200 turned to 300 before it was at 600, "We all see these people enjoy themselves some law enforcement." She winked and laughed, "Any more?"
Veronica smirked walking out of the shadows. "$5000" She yelled an evil smile coming to her face.
Derek was uncomfortable, and he shouldn't be but this was people paying money to just sit at a table with him and have a casual conversation, his attention being pulled when the wolf emerged and screamed a bid, he fought from saying something, holding silent as he clenched his fist behind his back
Host The hostess clapped and smiled, "Five thousand going once?" she waited, seeing no one else weighing the choice, "Going twice." She waited again before smiling, "Sold, to the blonde in the back!"
Kacey Kacey's eyes widened. "Veronica..." she hissed under her breath, staring at Derek's fist as it clenched behind his back and then giving her beta a worried look.
Veronica smiled whispering out, "Looks like you owe me a date Hale."
Saraya laughed to herself, not enough to catch Isaac's attention as she looked back at the girl and smiled, before seeing the distressed look on the alpha's face. "Looks like you got outbid boss." She spoke to Marcus though it was only loud enough for him, though she wasn't looking at him.
Veronica "Wonder how your boy toy will feel about that." Her smirk grew as she stared into Dereks eyes.
Derek stepped back to his seat, sitting as he growled low, "if you have your life by the end of it." He spoke low not even glancing at Kacey
Isaac focused in on Veronica looking directly at her. His growl rumbling in his chest.
Saraya tightened her hold on Isaac's hand leaning in slightly, "Not here." seeing a couple people looking there way, she chose to smile at them as if nothing was going on.
Kacey clenched her fist. "Veronica, I said stop," she ordered quietly, knowing that the wolf was going to get herself into trouble if she didn't intervene. Derek's threat put her on edge, and she stared at him, her wolf getting defensive.
Veronica glanced over at the wolf who had growled then stared back at Derek. "You might want to control your bitches Derek. Don't want to cause a scene."
Isaac He cleared his throat to cover the growl. "I know, but she's just asking for it...She attacked Carter." he whispered to her. "This is probably why you're alone." he said directing the comment to Veronica.
Saraya ground her jaw, she didn't want Isaac to cause a fight with this wolf, and she had a little bone to pick with her, "Keep an eye on Marcus?" She whispered only to Isaac as she stood and stared at Veronica, "Why don't we have a chat outside?"
Veronica stared at the girl in front of her. "Hmmm no I don't think so. I quite like it right here."
Isaac looked at Marcus, who looked bored. "Uh, sure." he said as he saw Saraya get up and talk to Veronica. If she could take down Marcus, the evil scary alpha. She could handle Veronica. He looked at Derek.
Derek was confused at the interaction, growling at the comment and scooting forward as if to get off the chair, "Mighty talk for someone who took you in when you had nothing."
Saraya narrowed her eyes as she shook her head, "Would hate to have to force you out of here." Her voice hard as she walked forward, her shoulder level with Veronica's "You were so willing to hurt me at the gym, what happened when a fight is being given to you?"
Kacey watched her approach Veronica, growling quietly. She knew Veronica had been rude to Marcus' emissary in the past, and Kacey didn't trust Saraya enough to leave Veronica alone with her.
Veronica smirked leaning in. " Well is it a chat or a fight?" She asked letting her eyes flash.
Veronica looked at Derek. " Sorry Derek but just because you took me in doesnt mean I owe you."
Marcus saw Saraya get up to go confront the wolf. He was bored, slightly amused by the interaction. "Dear, might I suggest you remove your beta before she ends up wolfing out in front of everyone." Marcus directed to Kacey.
Saraya smirked as looked at her, "How about a little of both." her smirk fell as she walked out of the tent.
Veronica went to follow Saraya with no hesitation.
Saraya kept walking slipping between the crowd and into the trees, allowing the alpha inside to not wolf out on stage.
Kacey glanced over at Marcus with a frown before standing, muttering, "Might I suggest you call off your emissary?" back at him and ignoring the looks she was receiving as she walked off the stage and rushed out of the tent to catch up with Veronica and Saraya. Veronica was being stupid and picking a fight, but there was no way she was going to leave her on her own.
Veronica followed Saraya but soon realized she was being followed herself by her alpha.
Kacey grabbed her beta's arm, pulling her to a stop. "What do you think you're doing?" she growled.
Veronica growled as her arm was pulled back. "Not backing down."
Saraya smirked, turning to see the two, "You truly are stupid aren't you?" she laughed and crossed her arms over her chest
Veronica snarled at the girl. "Not stupid just stubborn."
Saraya shook her head and raised her brows up, "Same difference in this sake."
Kacey frowned, glancing over at Saraya. "You're not helping."
Veronica growled. "Stay out of this Kacey."
Saraya shrugged and shook her head, "She dug her hole, why should I help her out of it?"
Kacey Kacey's wolf bristled at the comment. "I'm your alpha, Veronica. Not the other way around. You don't get to tell me what to do," she warned, her eyes flashing red. Her wolf was irritated, already on edge from everything that'd been going on-- she wasn't dealing well with insubordination. She glanced over at Saraya. "Just go back inside. Please. I'll handle this."
Veronica grit her teeth knowing Kacey was right. She hung her head looking at the grass a hard look in her eyes.
Saraya grinned and walked past Kacey and glanced between them, "Should keep a leash on your bitches." She said, quoting Veronica as she walked back into the tent, sitting back beside Isaac.
Veronica growled trying to follow the girl.
Kacey glared at Saraya as she walked away, and then grabbed Veronica by the arm again, pulling her back and stopping her from following. "Stop it. You're done. You're going to let her walk away, and this will be the end of it," Kacey stated, giving her a hard stare, and then exasperatedly adding, "...Do you even realize what you've just done?"
Marcus looked at Saraya and shook his head. "Looks like I did." he was going to reply to Kacey but she had already gotten up and left
Veronica smiled, "I just added some fun to the night."
Kacey "Fun?! You just pissed off the alpha who owns these lands," Kacey replied, "The one who already has enough of a reason to be angry at you. And at me." Kacey let out an exasperated sigh. "And her," she added, gesturing in the direction Saraya had left, "She's the emissary for the other alpha-- you know, the one who likes to murder betas for fun and to gain their power... This isn't fun, Veronica. You just pissed off everyone who already has a reason to want us both gone."
Host The hostess finished the last police officer before she clapped her hands together and smiled, "And that concludes our even's event!" She looked over the group behind her and smiled, "A round of applause to the group that stuck through this." She clapped before looking back over the crowd, "The winners can come up to the stage, as the rest exit the tent, any additional donations can be given to the woman in the corner, and if you are done, I hope you enjoy the rest of your evening, have some fun on some rides." She saw most of the people stand as she smiled, "And thank you all again for your participation and your donations! Good night."
Veronica gave Kacey a cold stare. "I'm going to go collect my date. Goodbye Kacey."
Saraya stood, and looked at Isaac, "Do you want to spend some time at the carnival or are you going to head home since you just got off work?" Asking him, wanting to know what he was up to, because if he was going to leave she'd go pester Marcus.
Isaac looked at her smiling. "Let's go enjoy the Carnival a bit, I think going home might not be the best idea at the moment." he said unsure he'd want to face Carter after what went down, and have to tell him. He grabbed her hand and smiled down at her.
Kacey "I don't get it," Kacey replied with a frustrated growl, throwing her hands up in the air, "I really don't. It's like you want to cause trouble for yourself." She gave Veronica a hard stare. "You'd better apologize to Derek. And hope he doesn't decide to just kill you."
Veronica stopped in her tracks glancing back at her alpha. "Maybe it would be best if I was just dead." With that veronica stalked away her eyes holding a cold glare.
Saraya smiled and nodded, "Probably best, though I'm sure I'm going to get shit from Mr. Crab Apple over there later." She laughed and looked at Marcus, him not looking at her as she gestured with her head, toward the opening of the tent, pulling him away from the crowd before she could be pulled away. Knowing Marcus didn't like that she was with Isaac, or was she even 'with' him, though by the look on his face by the hand gesture he wouldn't be pleased by the other things they've done.
Marcus rolled his eyes at the interaction, although. He didn't really care the night was definitley interesting He went up to the woman who bid on him extending his arm. Deciding to take her out tonight, and enjoy a restaurant leaving the two love birds alone
Kacey stared at Veronica's retreating figure with wide eyes for a moment before following and catching up with her as they walked back into the tent. "What's that supposed to mean?" she questioned worriedly.
Isaac laughed a bit. "It's fine, I'm not happy how Derek's feeling right now, but at least it's not cause of us." he said not happy Veronica Stirred all that drama, not wanting Derek to be upset but it was better than it being because of Saraya. He linked his arm with her. "so what do you want to do first?" he asked
Veronica "Don't act stupid Kacey its not a good look." Veronica continued forward without glancing at Kacey.
Saraya "I'm more then positive Marky Mark isn't happen with this." she shrugged and laughed, "Oh well, I'll deel with him later." Saraya smiled and thought it over, we should go on the small little coaster near the Ferris wheel?" She said eagerly as she walked beside him, not having been to a carnival in a while.
Kacey Kacey's date walked up to her before she could reply to Veronica or continue after her. She gave the man in the tux a small, forced smile, watching Veronica walk away, and hoping she wouldn't stir any more trouble.

Charity Host
The lights brighten as the band set up, the string instruments resting on their stands as the caterers put the food on treys, putting them on the long banquet table. The charity host walked around the ball room, checking the decorations, the seating, the food before the clock rang in the main hall. The greeters moving to their positions at the door, holding the handles as they opened the wood doors, "Show time." The lights from the cars coming into sight as the first guest arrived, the host signalling the band to start playing as the caterer's started to fill champagne glasses with the golden liquid.
Noah
Noah took his time getting ready, making sure he looked good for his beautiful date. He was impressed that Lelia had said yes to going with him and was quite excited to see her. He took one last look as he walked out the door. It didnt take long for him to reach the ball, placing his mask on his face and walking through the doors. The first thing he did was walk over to the bar not to get a drink but to have a look around. To look for Lelia.
Nicolas
Nicolas was surprised in himself that he was a little excited to be going to this ball, but here he was, fingers handling his tie, wrapping it around his neck, and starting to tie it. He was taking his time, not really caring if he arrived late, just as long as he got there. He looked himself over, approving of what he saw before grabbing his blazer and mask, shrugging on his coat; collecting his keys and heading to his car to pick up his friend.
Samantha
Samantha spread out her white dress that ran down elegantly on her petite body, her thoughts and emotions were excited for this to happen. Her brunette hair was curly to the side as she placed her mask on her face. "Here goes nothing. Its for a great cause." She whispered to herself as she walked through the doors looking around already seeing people with masks on their face.
Lydia
Lydia looked over at her best friend and grinned, both of them were looking really gorgeous in their dresses and hair all perfect with makeup. "You ready to go 'see' these people at the dance?" Lydia asked Allison as she lifted up her purple dress so she could walk without stepping on it.
Lelia
Lelia ran her hands through her hair one last time as she reviewed her appearance in the mirror. Smiling in satisfaction, she walked out the door and to her car. She drove the short way to the Charity Event. Her fingers drummed on her steering wheel in a nervous action as she pulled up and parked perfectly. Walking in, she noticed that people were already there. Seeing a familiar brown head of hair, she walked towards him and lightly tapped his shoulder. "Hey Noah." Lelia greeted, with a huge smile on her face.
Allison
Allison was so excited to get away with Lydia for the might. "I cant wait." She said with a big grin. She had so much going on in the last few days. She had fun getting ready and spending time with Lydia and now all dressed up and excited for the ball. Wondering who would be there but knowing she would not see Scott. Allison still holding her marks in her hand, took Lydia by the arm, liking them together. "This is going to be fun."
Noah
Noah smiled as he got a light tap on the shoulder. Turning he saw Lelia. "Hello." He smiled. "Now how did you know it was me." He said from under his mask. Lelia looked amazing and he felt he should tell her. "Wow, you look truly beautiful, see i told you that bell of the ball."
Lelia
She blushed and chuckled as she tapped his mask. "It was the hair!" She exclaimed happily as she adjusted the mask on her own face. Lelia blushed again, her cheeks feeling hot as she bit her lip. "You don't look too bad yourself." She said, playing it cool as she always did. "Have you been waiting?" She wondered, feeling bad for making him wait.
Noah
Noah was still unable to wipe the smile off his face. "No, not long, not that I would have minded waiting for you. Can I get you a drink Lelia?"
Lelia
"Sure, but I think we're only allowed three." She giggled, playfully winking at Noah. She finally took a chance to take in what he was wearing. Her eyes traveled down his body and she grinned at his tux. "You look nice." She admired, her eyes trailing back to his eyes as she leaned in closer to him.
Noah
Noah smiled and turned to get her a glass of champagne. "You can have mine of you like, Im not really a drinker." He watched her as she looked at him, with a smirk resting on his lips. "Thank you. As I said had to try, seeing I was going to be here with you." He offers out his arm for her to take. "What would you like to do first?"
Lelia
Her eyes widened as she shook her head multiple times. "No, no. I'm not an alcoholic or anything." She grinned and took a sip of her glass. "Three is enough." Lelia took his arm and looked over at him. "Why don't we look around?" She suggested, her gaze staying locked on her date's. His hazel eyes made her melt.
Allison
Allison looked around her as they entered. The place looked amazing and all the people in it. She quickly tied on her mask and walked in. Allison wondered who she would see here, but knowing it would not be the one person she want it to be. Scott would not be here and not able to see her all dressed up, and she would not be able to apologize for everything. She just wanted to be back together with him, she had made such a huge mistake trying to break it off but she had to sort her head out before she could do anything else. Tonight was going to be fun, she would make sure of it. Walking over to the bar and taking a glass of the champagne she looked around to see who she could find.
Noah
Noah laughed. "I never said you were." He felt amazing as she took his arm "Well let me escort you around." He said raising his eye brows. He led her around the room as they talked. "So tell me more about you."
Lelia
"How about a fact for a fact. I give you a fact about me and in return I get a fact about you." She beamed, raising an eyebrow. Lelia usually never liked giving out information to anyone, especially people she just met. Although she felt like she could trust Noah. But part of her wondered if he knew what she knew. That werewolves existed. "I've never been in love before." She stated bluntly, blinking innocently.
Noah
Noah was eagerly looking at Lelia. "Sounds fair." He agreed to her proposition. He was taken back by her announcement. "Really, never. I fall in love easily, when it is the right person and usually pay for it." He had had his heart broken a number of time and wasn't really ready for it to happen again that is why he had kept single for so long. "My turn, My parents don't speak to me." he thought he would try and get that out of the way.
Lelia
She cocked her head to the side in shock as she stared at him briefly. But her gaze and attention was soon turned to a huge painting in front of them. "Wow." She said in amazement. Letting go of their locked arms, she walked closer to the painting and inspected it. "This is amazing." After Noah confessed, her attention was brought back to him. Nonchalantly, Lelia intertwined her fingers with his as they continued walking. "I choose not to speak to mine." She admitted, avoiding eye contact with Noah.
Allison
Allison scanned the room. There were not many people here that she knew. She spotted Lelia across the room, walking arm in arm with a handsome man she had not met. She shot them a smile wondering if Lelia had seen her. No one else looked familiar and Lydia was busy talking so she took her drink and went to sit at one of the beautiful decorated tables. Running her finger around the rim of the glass, he thoughts always not far from Scott.
Noah
Noah followed behind her while she was mesmerized by the large painting. he was not really into art but could appreciate something when it was beautiful. "Its great." He said not looking at the painting but at her. he looked around as she took his hand and could not help but smile again. She had the effect on him. "You choose not to? I would do anything to speak to my brother, but they wont allow that either." he tries not to linger his thoughts on his brother, not wanting anything to ruin his night. "Why would you choose not to talk to them, does your brother?"
Lelia
Her thumb rubbed on the outside of his hand nervously. "I-Can we change the subject?" She asked politely, not wanting to talk about her past, that would be saved for another time. Lelia smiled sadly and avoided eye contact with him. Talking about her parents brought up memories and memories brought up pain. Lelia didn't want to feel pain tonight. "I really like gummy bears." She admitted, giggling at her childish confession. Her hand playfully squeezed his, going hard then soft hard then soft.
Noah
Noah was happy to change the subject. "Thats more than fine. I want you to have a great night, not talk about anything you dont want to." He liked the feeling of her finger brushing the back of his hand, it ave him little chills. "Gummie bears." he laughed. "See, i dont have such a sweet tooth. I do like dark chocolate though." He walked toward the windows, looking at the lights in the garden. "Ummm, I have never lived in a town for longer than a few months since I was fifteen."
Allison
Allison slumped on one of her hands, still sweeping her finger around the lip of the glass, occasionally taking a small sip of the sweet bubbly liquid. Hoping for a distraction from her own thoughts.
Lelia
Lelia noticed Allison alone at the table and frowned. She lightly waved at her friend and continued walking with Noah. The boy was interesting. She just thought he was a happy, carefree guy although he seemed to have more depth than that. As she listened to his confession, she frowned. To lighten up the mood, she quickly pecked his cheek and smiled. "I'm at the ball with a very lovely man." She confessed, her confidence level being extremely higher than usual.
noah
Noah looked around the room but no one could get his attention away from Lelia. he was surprised by her slight kiss. he gave her a big smile. "Where?" he pretended to look around him, then smiled at her again. "Im still suprised you didnt have the guys in this town linning up for you, but hay not at all complaining. Im glad Im the lucky one."
Lelia
She blushed again and looked down at her feet. "You're too sweet. Girls would be lucky to have you." She admitted, looking around and noticing girls checking Noah out. Interlocking their hands again, she pulled him towards the backyard. "Come on," Lelia motioned, leading him out the back door. Once they were outside, she looked around for a light switch and as she finally found one, she flicked it. Though it turned on the garden lights. "It's so.." She trailed off, getting caught with the beautiful lights. "Beautiful?" She suggested, finishing her sentence, not knowing if that word sufficed. Lelia chuckled and looked at Noah, smiling as she searched his hazel eyes.
noah
Noah like that he had made her cheeks turn red, thinking that she might like him. He would be happy to get out of the single life if it meant being about to spend his time with her. "Well I do have to beat them off with a stick at time." he joked. He did not notice anyone but her, as she tugged on his hand he willingly followed. He watched her as the garden lights came on. "Yes, you.... ummm it is." Changing is gaze only briefly to look at the lights and then back to her. He walked closer and softly placed his hand on her back. "Lelia, are you okay, you get distracted easily. Anything on your mind?"
Lelia
Turning around to make sure no one was watching them, Lelia decided to lift up her mask. She didn't like it on, and she didn't like his on either. She carefully lifted his mask up too. When Noah placed his hand on her back, she couldn't help but lean into him. She felt comfortable around him. She felt safe. "Hm? I'm fine." She looked up at him and smiled a little. "This has got to have been the best night since I've gotten back." Lelia chuckled and smoothed out her dress.
noah
Noah watched as Lelia lifted her mask off, looking more beautiful with out it. He didnt move as she took his off to, smiling and looking deep into her eyes. "I'm glad I can make it a good night for you, but It's early yet." She had a mischievous look on his face. he watched her move in closer as he did also. He wanted to kiss her but thought it was too soon, he had a habit of rushing into things and didnt want this to be ruined. He tried to look away but could not seem to take his eyes off her. He smoothed her back through her dress, and with the other he took his mask from her. "Cant have everyone seeing me with out my mask." he meant it. He was always wearing a mask, cover what and who he really was. before he put his mask back on he lent and and kissed her cheek right next to her lips, just making slight contact with the corner of them.
Lelia
Running one hand through her hair she nodded, understanding what he meant. As she was about to put her mask back on, she felt his lips press into her cheek. Lelia froze in shock. She looked up at him and tilted her head to the side in a questioning manner. "I uh, think you missed your target." She chuckled, pointing towards her lips. Her eyebrow raised in confusion as she put her white mask back on. Slipping her hand in his, she led him back inside towards the center of the party. A slow song came on, as she watched older couples come in to dance. A huge smile appeared on her face as she looked at them in admiration. She had wanted to dance, but she didn't know how.
noah
Noah laughed at her comment, placing his mask back on his face. "I hit where I mean to." he gave her a nod, "But I'll aim differently next time." He took her hand and walked with her inside. he watched her as she looked at the couples dancing. he had been taught by his mother many years ago. he let go of her hand and moved to stand in front of her. With and old fashioned gesture of holding out his hand for her to take he said. "My dear, would you care to dance."
Lelia
She smiled brightly at the couples. She was shocked when Noah asked her to dance. Placing a hand on her chest, she gasped dramatically. "Well, of course!" She pulled him to the dance floor and acted as if she knew what she was doing. Lelia placed her arms around his neck as she brought her body closer to his. Looking around, she mumbled,"How do you.. uh, dance?" Embarrassment flushed all over her face.
Vincent
Vincent showered, even though he'd taken one earlier in the afternoon, he wanted too feel clean before putting on one of his nicest suits, the edges of the suit being suede, accenting the edges of his suit. He tied his bow, figuring everyone would go for the causal tie, wanting to be different and stand out. He fixed his hair before finishing getting dressed and grabbing his mask and keys, heading out the door to pick up Alexis.
noah
Noah, let her drag him onto the dance floor and smmiled and laughed a little as she wrapped her arms around him
Allison
Allison still sat at the table, watching the couples dance and mingle, hoping someone she knew
noah
Noah let her drag him onto the dance floor and laughed as she wrapped both arms around his neck. "No like this." He said softly taking hold of one of her arms and holding her hand in his. His other arm wrapped around her waits and pulled her in close. "Like this." He said as he begun to lead her steps, just simply back and forth while gently turning their bodies to make slight circles on the dance floor. "You haven't danced before? You are full of surprises, aren't you?"
Nicolas
Nicolas wandered the ball room, the music playing soothing classical, couples dancing as he nursed the glass of bourbon in his hand. His eyes scanned the crowed, recognizing some but not too many he had talked to as his eyes landed on a familiar brunette. He sighed, downing the rest of his drink before making his way over to her and sticking his hand out, "May I?"
Allison
Allison sat and watched the couples dancing, still running her finger over the lip of the now empty glass. She didnt notice Nicolas had entered the room till he was close and offering to dance with her. She was nervous about seeing him after all that had happened but it was also hard to resist his charms. She smiled lightly, placing her hand on his. "You may." She stood up from her chair and followed him to the dance floor. "You look dashing Nicolas." remarking as they walked.
Lelia
Lelia looked down at her feet, hoping she wouldn't step on any of his by accident. Though being clumsy, she managed to step on his foot once. "Sorry! Sorry!" She apologized, feeling the embarrassment wash over her. Once she got the hang of it, Lelia looked up and at Noah. "As are you." She winked in a playful way. Her heart beat quickened as she realized their closeness increased. "My favorite animals are cats." She confessed, bringing up the game again.
Nicolas
Nicolas smiled, glad she'd accepted, he helped her up, keeping her hand in his as they moved to the dance floor. He pulled her to him gently, his hand went to her waist as he started a slow sway, "As you look ravishing darling." He smirked, moving with the music, looking around them, "I am surprised someone has yet to ask you to dance, quite the shame leaving you at a table by yourself." He commented, looking back at her, smiling.
noah
Noah tried not to react when Lelia stood on his foot, not hurting him at all. "Its fine." he laughed. She was getting the hand of it and he felt proud that he could lead her. he heard her heart beat quicken and tilted his head wondering why it had happened at that moment. "Cats? Oh no, not me." he was going to say wolves but not knowing if she had any knowledge on them he said nothing. "I like winter."
Allison
Allison bit her lip as Nicolas pulled her close and begun to dance. She smiled and looked down for a moment at his compliment, looking back up after the slight blush of her cheeks cooled. "I came with Lydia but lost her somewhere." She glanced around her, deciding not to bring up anything that had happened between them. They had already spoken of it and he no longer seem upset. "No, no one asked, Im quite surprised you don't have a date, or were you planing on meeting many dates here." She lightly joked, trying to to offend him.
Lelia
She tilted her head in confusion. "Everybody likes cats though. Especially cute little kittens." She poked his nose with one hand as she continued dancing. Her gaze looked back down to her feet as she hoped not to step on his feet again. "Winter? But isn't it cold? I'm more of a summer person. I can't stand the winter unless I'm warm and all cuddled up." She blurted out loud, her eyes widened as she covered her mouth. "I wasn't supposed to say that." Lelia blushed of embarrassment as she shook her head. "Noah, you sure bring out the weird side in me."
Nicolas
Nicolas nodded and looked around the room, "I saw her arrive but had lost her in the crowd." He looked at the brunette in from of him, his hand pressing at the small of her back, his other hand still holding hers. He could feel the slight shift in her mood, but it passed as she spoke, "Quite a shame, they are missing out." He was passed what had happened, she was doing what she though was right, and he couldn't be mad at her for it, "I tend to mingle in these sorts of events." he smirked as he laughed, "I come for the drinks, I stay for the company."
Allison
Allison smiled at his comment, it was perfectly matched to him, in her opinion. She continued to dance looking around the room a little, noticing many ladies watching him. "I think there are plenty of people here would would love to dance with you." She looked back at him with a smile. "But I am glad you asked me. Have you been here for long?"
Nicolas
Nicolas kept the pace of their dance the same, slow and relaxing, swaying in a way that was formal instead of a couple he'd seen just moving so they weren't loitering. He hummed and smiled, "I have been asked a few times, but declined. Would rather dance with someone that looks miserable, and make them feel better, then an overly excited person that would just walk all over my feet." He smiled, looking at the few she was speaking of, "I've been here since it started, just been wandering around the place. You?"
noah
Noah shook his head at her cat comment and her little gesture. Still gently guiding her around the dance floor. he was really enjoying having her in his arms. "I like the cold, I guess you could say im very warm blooded." The fact being his body temperature was substantially higher then hers, or most other peoples here. he laughed at her comment, not sure if she meant him. he didn't comment noticing she was blushing and didn't want to further embarrass her. "Im not sure if you are saying that as a good thing or bad."
Allison
Allison was not sure if her was complimenting her or trying to offend her. "I was looking miserable. Thats kind of what i was trying to avoid." She was feeling better now, not left sitting alone at the table. Nicolas was a polite dancer, keeping to a slow pace which was fine by her. "I got here a little after it started and lost Lydia close after that." She thought Lydia would be somewhere talking to Jackson so she didn't bother going to look for her. "I think I have spent most of my night at that table, until you came and saved me."
Lelia
She was a bit taken back by his comment. "Isn't everybody warm blooded?" She asked, furrowing her eyebrows in confusion. Lelia shuffled her feet across the dance floor, the heels beginning to hurt as she tried as little as possible to not move her feet. "It's definitely an in between?" She confirmed, smiling brightly at him. Looking over his shoulder, she recognized Nicolas and Allison dancing, she sent them a small nod and continued dancing. "My uh, feet are killing me."
Nicolas
Nicolas shook his head and laughed, "You looked like you weren't having too much fun, sitting out."Trying to correct himself the best he could. He licked his lips and nodded, "Lad is sneaky." He smiled at her, not wanting her to feel alone, knowing how that could feel, "That is unacceptable."
noah
Noah didn't elaborate on his comment, choosing to continue dance with his beautiful date instead. "As long as it isn't all bad. I dont want to make you uncomfortable." He gave her a cheeky grin, to make sure she knew he was joking. "Let go and sit down then." He said leading her from the dance floor. "Now is it my turn or yours?"
Allison
Allison nodded and agreed, she was not at all having fun until she saw him, quite surprised that he was the one who changed her mood so dramatically. "That she is." Allison agreed with him, this happening most time they went out together. Lydia and Allison always started and ended the nights out together but she had no idea what happened to her in between. "Have you been to many dances or ball like this." Now knowing that he had been around for so many years she expected there to be many. "Which was your favorite?"
Lelia
She stopped in the middle of the dance floor and looked around. Realizing no one was looking her way, she took off her heels and walked barefoot to a table. A sigh of relief escaped her lips. Looking up she smiled. "I think it was mine." She rubbed her hands together as she thought of something. "I'm.. extremely close with my brother." Lelia explained, smiling as she thought of Anthony. "We've always been close. I practically raised him." She admitted, laughing nervously.
Nicolas
Nicolas sighed and smiled, "Reason why I asked you Allison." He spoke softly before laughing, thinking about how Lydia could disappear in a matter of second upon arrival. Nic nodded, lifting her hand to go to his shoulder as he dropped his hand to her waist, drawing her closer, "I have been to quite a few." Thinking over the ones he'd been to, "Don't have a favorite surprisingly, they all kind of went the same." Not having thought about them in quite some time, "Is this your first?"
noah
Nosh laughed as she took of her shoes and shook his head at her. He offered her a seat, holding it out and once she was seated he sat down next to her, pulling his chair nice and close to hers. "You mentioned your brother." He clenched his jaw as she spoke of how close they were. he had the once with his brother but after his parents found out what he was, he was kicked out of the house and no longer contact with is younger brother. They emailed when they could but Noah had not seen him in eight years. he looked down to the table and then back to her, trying to force a smile and changing the subject all together. "I have a couple of tattoos, do you have any?"
Lelia
As she noticed Noah tense up, she quickly shut up realizing it was a touchy subject. Lelia gave his hand a soft squeeze as her eyes pleaded for forgiveness. She hadn't mean to go pass the imaginary boundary line that was there. She smiled softly and nodded. "Just one. It's a bit.. girly." She admitted, looking around before lifting up her hair and revealing her tattoo on the back of her neck. It was a small black crescent moon. After a few seconds, she let her hair back down and smiled at Noah. "Maybe later I could see yours?" She asked politely not wanting to step over the line again.
Allison
Allison was enjoying his company a little too much, after everything that had happened she was glad for the hansom distraction. She bit the inside of her lip as he moved her arm and pulled her in closer to his chest, trying to keep from him noticing her cheeks slightly blushing. She looked up at his eyes as he spoke. "I have been to a school dance and one ball in college, but neither of them were very good." She shakes the thought of the school dance, when she first found out about Scott. She forgot herself for a moment and words just spilled out. "Aren't you lonely? I mean I know you have Dameon, but is that enough?"
noah
Noah gave her had a slight squeeze back, telling himself not to linger on the thoughts of his brother. he was here ot have fun and to get to know Lelia. He looked at the tattoo, wanting to reach out and runs his fingers down his neck, but keeping his hands to himself. "A moon." he looked at it shocked, did she know, was she aware of him and his kind. "Why a moon?'' he would be careful but try and find out. he smiled a cheek grin when she asked to see his. Most of them being hidden under his suit. he reaches out his arm and pulled up his sleeve. "I have this one and two others but they will be saved for another time." He covered the Libra sign on his wrist and smiled at her knowingly. he finally could not help himself, he reached out to her mask and took it off. "I like you better with out this."
Nicolas
Nicolas kept close to her, his arms around her waist in a slow dance, his arm getting tired from keeping it up for so long. His eyes went over her face a pink blush rolling up her cheeks which made him smile, "Well is this one making up for them?" wanting her to be honest. He took a deep breath and shrugged, "It can be." Being honest with her, "But being by myself is by choice."
Allison
Allison could no longer hide the flush on her cheeks, now wishing she had have let Lydia cover her with all the make up she wanted to apply. She kept her arms draped over his shoulders. "I think it is more than making up for them." She answered honestly but not elaborating. She smiled up at him, if she could not be with Scott she was more than happy to be here with Nicolas. She felt bad for him, not ever wanting to be alone herself. "Why do you choose to be alone>" she frowned then realized it is a question he most likely wont want to answer. "Im sorry, i can be nosy." She smiled, shook her head and look down to the ground.
Lelia
She shrugged at his question, smiling. "I've always liked the moon. It's just really pretty." She chuckled. "It really doesn't mean anything, it was a useless tattoo I got when I was sixteen." She explained, waving her hand off as if it was nothing. She tilted her head and inspected the tattoo. Her fingers lightly grazed over his wrist. "It's neat, I like it." She complimented, looking up and smiling. Lelia nodded understanding, smiling brightly. "Are you implying there will be a next time for us?" She chuckled, but was interrupted as he took her mask off. His hand was so close to her face, she wanted to lean into it. A blush crept up on her face as she squeezed her eyes tightly. She could feel her heart beat quicken once again. She had no idea why he had this effect on her. Returning the gesture, she leaned in, cupping his cheek in her small hand. She paused and stayed still for a little, getting lost in his for a second. Shaking her head, she smiled as she removed his mask. Though once it was off, she didn'
Lelia
dare move her face. She stayed still for a couple seconds, taking quick glances at his lips and back to his eyes. She bit her lip in anticipation as she relaxed back in her seat. It was too soon, she didn't believe in love. Or did she?
Nicolas
Nicolas chuckled, "I'm glad." Though he was not very fond of hunters, he didn't want to be rude tonight, didn't want to ruin not only his night, but Allison's or anyone elses, could say he was on his best behavior. "I choose to be alone, because it's safer that way. Would rather be alone then denying and hiding what I am." that being the only thing he was willing to share, nothing about his past should be brought up, because he buried it, so deep, it wasn't worth digging out, "Why have you come alone tonight, besides lydia."
noah
Noah sat still as Lelia reached out for his mask a smile creeping on his lips. She stayed close and he could see all the amazing colors in her eyes. He want to reach out and pull her that little extra distance so he cud feel her soft full lips on his. But he stayed still, watching her eyes dart from his to his mouth and back. He liked hearing her heart beat speed up as she was close to him and only slightly settle as she moved back into her seat. he tilted his head in a questioning manner. "How on earth do you not have a boyfriend?"
Allison
Allison took a moment to look around the room, hoping that she might get a glimpse of Scott, but know he would not be here. She decided to stop the subject of him being alone, even thought he answered politely, she knew that was enough questions on the topic. "Oh, I guess I'm having some guy troubles." Such a nonchalant answer for all the drama that had occurred since she had last seen Nicolas. "So decided to have a girls night." She smiled softly and listened to the music.
Lelia
Her feet rested on the cold floor as she smiled sadly. Looking up and meeting his eyes, she kept a straight face, wanting him to know she was serious. "I don't believe in love, remember?" She reminded him, running a hand through her hair. "What would the point of having a boyfriend be if love doesn't exist to me?" Lelia explained, sighing in frustration. People always judged her for not believing in love. Looking up, she smiled a fake smile. "And why don't you have a girlfriend? All the girls here already want you." She nodded towards a group of girls giggling and glancing at Noah.
Nicolas
Nicolas kept his hold on allison, his eyes scanning over the crowd around them, Seeing everyone in their masks and gowns, having almost forget where he was, even though he'd been staring at the woman in front of him who was wearing a mask the whole time, "Guy troubles, and what did he do?" questioning why she'd have a girls night when the ball was filed with couples.
noah
Noah felt bad for what she was saying but he did believe in love, having been in it before. "Lelia," he lifted her head with his hand gently guiding it by her chin, tracing a slight line on her jaw with his thumb. "I don't think you don't believe in love, you just have felt it yet to know that its real." he smiled softly at her truly believing his own words. he didnt look to the girls she gestured at. "Guess I was just waiting to meet you." he was trying to make her smile and hoped it had worked, not yet letting go of her chin, enjoying the soft touch of her skin under his finger tips.
Allison
Allison looked up at Nicolas and watched his eyes move around the crowd from behind his mask, then coming to rest again on her. "Well, it complicated, him and I but guess you could say I shot him." She frowned then realized what she had said. That comment should also apply to Nicolas and she gave him a look of surprise and horror before she continued. "Oh, sorry, i meant Scott." she shook her head and rolled her eyes. "I dont have a habit of shooting people, I swear. We got into a fight and when he gets mad he......" she just realized what she was saying. She had on idea of Nicolas knew about Scott, surely be ably to tell if they have met but they may not know each other. She stayed looking at him mouth open not knowing if she should continue.
Nicolas
Nicolas laughed and shook his head, "You shoot people when you get in fights?" He smiled and gave her a look of concern, and amusement, "Sees a little unhealthy love." He heard her stop and smiled, "Shifts." He finished as he kept his voice low, "I'm aware of what he is, just as I'm aware that there is a wolf or two in this very room. Lets just say they have a certain...aroma." He smirked as he kept his eyes on her
Lelia
There were butterflies in her that were fluttering as he touched her chin. Tingles filled her face, as she blushed as well. She didn't think guys could have this effect on her. She was never used to this feeling before. "I-It doesn't exist. I watched my parent's marriage crash and burn. Even when they claimed they loved eachother.." She trailed off, her voice feeling tight. She gulped, knowing she could trust Noah. "H-he said he loved her. And he still.. H-he still h-hit her." Two tears managed to escape as she remembered the memories. Though she wasn't supposed to cry tonight. Wiping one tear hastily, she laughed humorlessly. "I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to." She never moved her head from his hand, she just avoided his eye contact, feeling ashamed of her past and for crying. She never cried in public.
Allison
Allison gasped at Nicolas' comment, she never meant to shoot him and only shot Scott to stop his wolf from hurting her. She nodded agreeing with him pointing out her and Scott unhealthy love. It had always had so much against it and they would always be faced with some form of issue. she relaxed and let out a sight of relef that he knew about Scott already. "Yes he turned. His wolf and I have kind of a connection. I was his anchor, but now,'' She looked down then up again at Nicolas. "Its changed. Im trying to figure it our but we cant be together if im a trigger for him." She didnt need to go on, thinking he already understood what she meant. She looked around the room for any other wolf she knew of, but then again she didnt know all of them. There were a few new faces in the crowd and anyone of them could be a wolf. "There is? who?" she said with a slight grin on her lips.
noah
Noah listened to he talk as she spoke of what had happened to her parents. he hated them for making Lelia lose any faith she should have in love, everyone should have hope in something as important as love. he tries to comfort her. "Many stories of love don't work out. That doesn't mean it cant exist. It is there if you can open up to it." He could imagine opening his heart to her but just as quickly having it crushed by her. He smiled, a concerned smile as he watched and could smell the satly tear fall from her eye, and just as quick as it fell she wiped it clean. "Lelia, Im sorry that happened. No one should ever lay a hand on a person they care of." he shook his head. "Hay, look at me." he waited to see her eyes. "Never say sorry to me to this, you have no reason too." he moved his other hand and traced a soft line down her hair line from her forehead to her ear and then put it back on the table. he leaned in closer and put his forehead against hers, not wanting their first kiss to be when she was upset. h
noah
had to cheer her up. "Put your shoes on, and come with me." He said smiling and raising his eyebrows.
Nicolas
Nicolas laughed again, as he nodded, "The hard ones are the ones worth fighting for though." he cleared his throat, sighing, "Not so much now it would seem, what's different between you two that wasn't when he was anchored?" The vampire could hear the shift in music, it still slow, but a new song. He watched her look around before laughing, "Shh, they can hear you darling." He shushed her politely before laughing
Lelia
She looked up at him and smiled sadly. "Tonight was supposed to be perfect.. But I just made it all sad and depressing." She chuckled, shaking her head in shame. As their foreheads touched, she looked in his eyes, smiling a bit, showing a bit of her teeth. He made her so nervous it scared her. She lifted her eyebrow in confusion. Though her feet were done resting and she probably looked like a hot mess, she didn't care. Putting her shoes on, made her four inches taller, though Noah still managed to be a bit taller than her. Lelia slipped her hand in his and earned a couple of envious glares from girls. Her bitchy side coming back out, she rolled her eyes and scowled at them, before looking of at Noah. "Where are we going?"
Allison
Allison smiled. "He defiantly is worth it." Scott was worth dying for in her opinion, anything to keep him safe and to be with him. She thought about what had changed. She had been gone so long and felt so broken and weak when she came back. That was it. "I just realized whats changed,. Its me." she looked at Nicolas with a smile. "I came back weak and frightened and trying to push my feeling for him away." She gave a little laugh and slight shake of her head. She spoke very quietly, knowing he could hear her. "I need to be strong again and hunting gives me strength and so does he. Im stronger when Im in love with him." She looked down at all the thoughts she was sharing with Nicolas, thankful he had bought them up but hoping he didnt mind hearing her ramble on about them. "Right." She looked around again. She had been out of practice of spotting wolves. Another thing she would work on.
noah
Noah, took her hand. "We are going out to those lovely light you liked so much. I saw a swing on one of the trees, you interested?" With out waiting for her to answer but giving a quick laugh at her taunt to the other girls he led her outside. One out in the cool night air he took off his jacket and placed it around her shoulders. "Cant have you getting cold, can I?" he showed her over to the swing. "Hop on."
Nicolas
Nicolas smiled and nodded, "Love worth fighting for. Just have to get that spark back sweetheart." Nic shook his head and thinking about what she said how she'd come back weak when he knew that was wrong, "Can't come back weak and shoot two supers in the same weak, maybe you just are thinking you are weak, when you are more then capable of being strong." He was lost as to what to say, seeing as he had never had to deal with this issue, "Then work it out between you two." He shrugged, as if it was easy. His eyes wandered to the small group beside them, "Must be careful what you say."
Lelia
She smiled and nodded. As they walked outside, she realized it was cold. Smiling thankfully at Noah, she was about to thank him but she took off the jacket and put it back on him. "You'll be colder. I'll be fine." She smiled, although it was just a thin white lie that everybody could see. Considering the length of her dress. Lelia followed him over to the swing and softly slid on. "I can't believe you saw this. You must have the best eye sight to see this in the dark." She laughed softly in the night as she looked at him. "What are you, a vampire?" Lelia continued laughing at her stupid joke.
Allison
Allison agreed with all that he was saying. "Im sure we can figure it out." She would do anything to get Scott back homing she still wanted her. She looked up at Nicolas and laughed. "Thank you, for all of this. I think your really quite amazing. You're a really good person, Nicolas." She smiled at him warmly. She never expected to be sharing so many feeling with someone she had hurt and for someone who had hurt her. She was glad he had not bought up the wound that was still visible, her telling others she fell in the wood and some how getting away with it. "Mouth closed." She said, "Thought I doubt anyone would mess with me while dancing with you." She joked with a big grin.
Dameon
Dameon had took his time getting ready, he had a few errands to run before hand. He managed to get everything prepped as he stepped into the ball room, pretty late but shrugged it off. As he caught site of a few people dancing. He realized a lot of people he didn't recognize. He saw his Maker dancing with Allison. Surprised, considering the events a couple nights ago. He walked to the bar, figuring he'd order himself a drink just to relax himself. He looked around, not seeing a familiar brunette which shocked him quite a bit.
noah
Noah had no chance to refuse the jacket. he hung it over his arm, not feeling anything but warmth throughout his body, his temperature hardly ever changed. He watched as she sat down on the swing, standing behind her holding it steady. "Ha" he let out a big laugh. " going along with her joke. he placed his jacket once again on her shoulders saying "Please, im fine, you take it." he waited until she was holding on the ropes then also grabbed the and pulled her back. Before releasing her, he lent around, close to her beautiful face, giving her a smile. he moved in closer and placed a small soft kiss on her lips. Staying there only a moment then moving beck and smiling once more. "See I can have good aim." He let og of the swing making sure it didnt send her to quickly away from him.
Nicolas
Nicolas had faith the young woman would figure out how to work this situation out, to fix things with his wolf. Shrugging, nic smirked, "If you say so, though I'm sure others would go against what you said." He laughed and let his hands move to her waist, "You never know, some wolves can be a little rowdy."
Allison
"Well I think very highly of you, I dont care what others think." Allison smiled. She had hoped tonight was going to be fun and it had been better than she had expected, though very surprising. "Well, I hope everything stay clam. It not really a night for that sort of thing." She looked around the room, wondering where Lydia had been hiding. she spotted Demaon standing at the bar. "Looks like Dameon has been left along for long enough. Did you want to go and talk to him?" She thought the answer wold be yes, Nicolas had spent more than enough time listening to her babble on. She let her arms drop to her sides. "Thank you for the dance, and everything else. You really made my night."
Nicolas
"You would be the first." Nicolas smiles weakly as he nodded, "Not sure how the evening director will like if things went downhill." Nicolas turned, seeing the back of Dameon and sighing, "Would appear so, as has your friend from the other night." He pulled away and smiled, "You are so very welcome darling." He bowed his head ever so slightly before backing away smiling and turning to he progeny. Walking up behind him and clamping his hand upon his shoulder, "And why aren't you out mingling?" Ordering a drink and taking a seat beside the other vampire.
Dameon
Dameon was almost done with his first drink just enjoying the site, smiling remembering a few of the good times as a vampire when he went to these eloquent balls. He felt a hand clamp on his shoulder the scent being Nicolas's turning and smiling. "Oh, figured I'd loosen up with a drink first. Everyone seems to be dancing, didn't want to be rude." he said to Nicolas. "See somebody has taken a fancy in huntresses." he joked. "How's your evening going, sorry I'm late had a few things to take care of." he said raising his glass to give cheers to his best friend.
Allison
Allison walked off the dance floor, taking a glass of the champagne from a passing waiter looking around the room for the person Nicolas was talking about. Chloe must be here some where.
Lydia
Lydia walked back into the room pushing back some of her hair and readjusting her mask on her face trying to find a familiar face but gave up as she walked to the bar knowing she couldn't have alcohol. "Can I have...do you have anything none alcoholic?" Lydia asked and the bartender gave her water. "Thanks..." She said with a roll of her eyes and walked away.
Allison
Allison spotted Lydia and walked over to her. "Where have you been?"
Lelia
She tilted her head to the side to look at him. Lelia smiled as she held stuck her arms through the sleeves of his jacket. Grabbig onto the ropes of the swings, she gripped them tightly as she waited for Noah to push her. She waited for him to push her, but it never came. She turned her head around half way to face him, although she was now face to face with him. Lelia smiled a big smile. He had kissed her. She felt fireworks when he kissed her. It made her blush and her lips tingled as he pulled away. She laughed softly at his joke, making the night silence break. "Why'd you do it though?" She questioned,"Why'd you kiss me?"
Charity Host
The man walked up on stage, a champagne glass in his hand as he brings a metal fork to it, catching the attention of the guests, clearing his throat as he turned his face to the microphone, "Evening ladies and gentlemen, I am so glad with the turn out, and the participation!" The man exclaims excitedly, "There will be the art gallery opening soon along with solo donations that can be given to the man in the farthest left corner of the room." The host gestured to the man in a white suit, who stood, waving, "I do hope you all enjoy your evening, have fun, let loose." He raises his glass as he smiles before exiting off the stage, allowing the musicians to fade back into their songs, and the waiters to start circulation the room with glasses of champagne.
Lydia
Glancing up from her drink, "I had to use that bathroom...then I was stopped by a few people. Long story short, I needed fresh air. Where have you been?" She said and listened to the man on stage then turned back to Allison.
noah
Noah smiled and shook his head at he question. "Are you kidding me?" He looked deep into her eyes. "Because I think your amazing, why wouldnt I want to kiss the most beautiful girl here?"
Samantha
"Thank you." Samantha said pulling away from the man she was dancing with. Walking away toward the sidelines, she was so lost on finding anyone she knew at the moment. Fiddling with her dress, samantha thought to go outside to get a breather knowing it was getting to crowded for her. Pushing through a few people she finally made it outside and sighed feeling a soft brisk against her skin.
Nicolas
Nicolas laughed and shook his head, "Not everyone mate." Nicolas grabbed his glass from the bartender as he looked back at the dance floor, a large group of woman staring at them, "I mean there is a big group of women staring, couldn't hurt to look." The eldest vampire rolled his eyes and took a large gulp of his drink, "She was sitting by herself, and no one was really here, so I just went for it." He shrugged, not really having much of an interest in her, though he did enjoy her company. "Evening is amazing so far, it's fine. Though I did mark you as a date that stood me up." He laughed raising his glass with Dameon's and finishing it off before having it refilled.
Allison
Allison stood close to Lydia. Smiling at her friend. " Actually I had a dance with Nicolas." she answered raising her eye brows. "Is Jackson here?" She was wondering if the 'few people' Lydia had been talking about we actually just one in particular.
Chloe
Chloe had decided to skip the dance, keep an eye on the town while everyone was distracted at the event. She had walked aimlessly for a few hours, finding the town almost empty and realizing if Alexander Bowen wanted to make a scene, he would go to the masquerade. The Alpha walked to the location of the dance, quietly sneaking around the back to where the staff would be. She knew she could not get in with a ticket, as she had not bought one, so finding a way to blend in with the waiters was her best bet at entering. She stole a uniform from a staff member too distracted with a guest in one of the trailers to notice, getting a mask and a tray as she walked into the kitchen, finally entering the ball.
Lydia
"Ooh...how did that go?" Lydia teased setting her drink down at the nearest table. "I don't know. I can't tell who the hell is who in this place." She muttered crossing her arms switching side to side on her feet. "See anyone else besides Nicolas?"
Lelia
She blushed and looked down. "You're way too sweet, Noah." She complimented, slowly stopped the swing and turning around to look at him. The sound of the music coming from inside set the mood. Lelia slowly wrapped her arms aroud his neck as she pecked his nose. "A few more dances, maybe?" She suggested, pulling away, yet they were still close.
Dameon
Dameon smiled and shrugged. "Maybe I was hoping to dance with a certain someone but she isn't here, oh well" he shrugged it off. Smiling, it wasn't a bother to him totally. He had other people to dance with he just wanted a nice drink or 2 before going out. "Well as long as you had fun, that's all that matters." he said refilling his glass. "Oh, I'm so sorry Nicolas, it broke my heart a little having to stand you up for a bit. I just didn't want too seem easy." he laughed clanking his glass with his and taking a nice drink of his drink, finishing it off. "2 drinks down, did you want to dance, would feel bad if I didn't give my date a dance." he jokingly held his hand out to offer him a dance.
Allison
"Really well. he kinda help me with the Scott issues. he is actually really nice to talk to." she had been grateful for Nicolas saving her from her boredom and greatly enjoyed his company and help. "I have seen many people, but who can tell with all these masks?"
noah
Noah watched Lelia as she stopped then stood up from the swing, holding on to one of the ropes to keep it from moving. Smiling big at her compliment, he just wanted to make her happy. "If you've got it in you" he wraps one arm around her and guides her to the dance floor again.
Lelia
She followed him inside and smiled,"Lets hope I don't step on your foot again." She winked, waiting for him to take the lead again. She looked around the room and recognized some of her friends were here now. Lelia smiled and listened to the slow song playing.
Nicolas
Nicolas laughed, not surprised by the reply he got, "No she isn't here mate, move on. I mean, you have all these others to choose from, just venture out there." He turned on the stool, his back against the bar, his arm resting on top of his as he sipped his drink, "I suppose." Nicolas looked over at Dameon and shook his head, "How could you, thought this was special, and then you just stand me up." He hmph as he looked away, "Your date has danced enough, go dance with one of those girls, thought I saw an adorable blonde." Raising his eyebrows over the mask.
Lydia
"That's nice." Lydia said hearing another new song come on. Knowing that what happened with Scott and Allison was another hill of drama in their relationship. "So...what are you going to do with Scott?" Glancing around the room, she nodded her head in agreement. "I can't really tell anyone from their masks."
Dameon
Dameon looked around, not really finding anyone worth dancing with too much, except a couple. "I know she isn't, I'm not upset by it." he said as he looked over at him laughing. "And where are my chocolate's? Not here. I thought you cared." he made buried his face in his hands laughing. Smacking him lightly on the shoulder. "Didn't even save me a dance, how could you. This is over!!!" He chuckled as he tapped his friend's shoulder. "I'll go dance with a different girl, don't need to deal with strangers as he walked over to the shorter brunette. "Samantha." he said tapping her shoulder. Waiting for her to turn before offering his hand. "Would you care to dance?" he asked smiling.
Allison
Allison looked around the room seeing if she could find any more familiar eyes hiding behind the masks. She saw Nicolas talking to Dameon and Lelia dancing with the same male as she was earlier, but no one else. "I will work it out with him. I know the problem now so I can fix it. You of all people should know I cant live with out him. I tried and hated it." Allison thought she saw someone familiar, but she knew Chloe wasnt coming. Nicolas had commented on her being here. "Sorry Lydia Ill be back in a moment." she wondered off in search of Chloe.
Nicolas
Nicolas rolled his eyes and turned so his back was to the dancefloor, "Just go before all the women are taken." He laughed as he nursed his drink, watching his friend walk off and ask the smaller brunette to dance.
Samantha
Samantha looked up trying to recoginze the person than smiled. "D-Man!" She said excitedly and placed her hand in his. "Of course, how could I refuse?" She gave him a warm smile and followed him on the dance floor. "You look really good in a suit." The short brunette commented. "And fair warning...I may step on your feet."
Lydia
"All my luck goes to the two of you...lord knows you need it with your crazy father." Lydia commented shaking ehr head. "Okay bye." She said waving her hand as Allison walked away. Pulling up her dress so she could walk and move from the spot she was in.
Noah
Noah enjoyed having Lelia again in his arms. Smiling not looking anywhere but at her. "are you having a good night? Well apart from the one little thing." He smiled knowingly at her.
Dameon
Dameon smiled as he took her hand in his, holding it tight. "S-girl!" he joked, as he shrugged. "You could, although I'd be a bit disheartened." he said making a pout face before smiling back at her. "Thank you, you look amazing in your dress." he said laughing. "it's okay, I got pretty tough shoes on, You're good." he said as he pulled her close. Beginning to sway with the music. Holding onto her as he moved his feet a bit. "See, not so bad." he said grinning down at her.
Chloe
Chloe imitated the rest of the waiters, serving drinks to some of the guest, smiling and thanking them for attending the masquerade. She moved through the crowd, finding the scent of both of the vampires and another werewolf, but decided not to approach them. Her eyes kept searching the room, finally finding the brunette she was looking for and hurrying to her. She pulled Allison aside, stepping to a corner of the ball room. "How's it been here?"
Samantha
Samantha laughed, rolling her eyes playfully. "Thanks Dameon and I can't say no without feeling bad." Moving closer towards him to dance. "Okay...if you say so. But for once I am wearing heels...and I feel tall!" She said happily lightly swaying with him to the music. "We're doing good so far. How have you been lately?" Deciding to start a small conversation.
allison
Allison was walking around aimlessly, hoping to see Scott hiding behind one of the masks but knew he would not be here. Then there was a hand on her and spun around to see Chloe, Nicolas had been right. "Actually its been really quiet. I even danced with Nicolas, he is fine with everything that happened, well with me anyway, I dont know about you. Sorry." There had been nothing out of the ordinary happen since she got here.
Dameon
Dameon pouted. "So you're only saying yes cause you feel sorry. Stop the insanity." he threw his arms up laughing. "You're still short to me, but I'll just say you're tall." he joked as he swayed with her. "Yep, I've been having a stressful week so I needed a night out, and what better place than a ball." he said shrugging. "It's been good though, how about yours?" he said as he looked around how neat everything was looking.
Samantha
"Oh shush, I'm dancing with you because I can. Hey, you're like a giant compared to me. So I'll be short like every body else." Lightly pushing his shoulder almost tripping on her heels. "That's good....minus the stressful week though. Mine has been busy...I got a job at a daycare place. Apparently I am married to a six year old named Mike."
Chloe
Chloe's eyes kept searching the room, listening to Allison as she tried to pick up any familiar scent. Aside from the people she had met in town, however, there were none. She raised her eyebrow at the huntress, "With Nicolas?" She shrugged. "It's alright; I'm used to people being angry at me." She smiled at one of the other staff members who spotted her, giving a drink to Allison so it wouldn't look suspicious. "I'm just here to make sure nothing happens, if the thing is dead I'll just continue watching around town."
allison
Allison shook her head. "No Nicolas had nothing bad to say about you, but he was busy listening to me ramble on. Poor guy." She took the glass from Chloe and actually started drinking for it, so type of cocktail. "It has actually be very quiet. But thats not always good.''
Nicolas
"You two know I can hear you, right?" Nicolas walked up to Chloe and Allison, looking over Chloe before sighing, "Not mad at Chloe." He downed his drink and smiled, "Try to take the conversation out of earshot of the person you are speaking of next time." He smirked before smiling and walking past them to the art gallery.
Payton
Payton had taken a lot to get ready for this night, curling her hair evening, just to it was just right. She looked at the time as she finished her light makeup. She slipped on her heels, and actually decided on taking a taxi so she didn't have to drive as she got out and entered the ball, scanning the room. Sensing energies from all over, the alpha chloe, the lack of energy from Nicolas. Although there was one that stood out. Jackson, she figured she'd walk up. "Oh my, what's this?" she said walking up to Jackson. "Surprised you're here." she joked as she got near him giving Jackson a hug.
Chloe
Chloe wrinkled her nose, "Not sure if that's good or bad." The Alpha watched Allison drink the beverage, her hands touching her mask to make sure it was in place. "Let's hope it stays calm." The sudden male voice surprised the wolf, but she just smirked when she realized who it was. "That's a relief." She responded, rolling her eyes when the vampire shot his last remark, watching him leave. "I guess that's solved."
allison
Allison was focused on Chloe and didnt notice Nicolas until he spoke. She bit her lip, the second time tonight he had told her to be careful of what she was saying. "Sorry, Nicolas." She said before he walked off, watching him as he walked away. "Guess it is." she said turning back to Chloe. " I might have a look around." She said to Chloe turning to walk away.
Chloe
Chloe nodded at Allison, watching her leave as well and taking towards the direction the vampire had gone. "So, how are you feeling?" She asked, standing beside Nicolas. "As I now know you don't want to bite me and turn me rabid, I'm more concern than before."
Dameon
"Oh are you? Okay I'm glad." He looked down at her. "I'm a giant? jeez. Rude, midget." he joked, catching her so she didn't fall. "Yeah, and oh? Sounds fun. Oh, they getting married this young these days?" he laughed, as he danced with her. "Busy sounds good though, or is it stressful." he asked her wanting more of a conversation
Nicolas
Nicolas was in the art gallery, his eyes going over a painting when he felt the wolf approach him, "Peachy." He turned his head to look at Chloe, "Healed and normal." He sighed raising his eyebrows, "I bite you..." He turned his eyes back to the painting, head tilted, "You tear me to pieces..." He tensed his jaw as he licked his lips, "What did you need Chloe?"
Chloe
Chloe smirked at his words, looking at the painting but not seeing what could be so captivating. Her curl of the lips faltered when he asked what she needed, her eyes turning back to the vampire. "I need your promise you won't try to go after Derek or his pack again."
Samantha
"I'm not a midget...I'm fun size." Samantha said acting offended but ended up laughing. "Apparently...I ate my ring...it was a peach ring. I think I might be getting a divorce because of that." Shrugging her shoulders. "Some days its stressful...some days aren't, But I love my job..snots and all." Samantha said cheesy. "By the way have you seen Kellen around."
Nicolas
Nicolas looked over the strokes in the painting, this one being the one he admired the most, but he could feel the confusion as the wolf looked at it. The vampires sighed, not looking at Chloe as he replied, "No." the music changing in the other room, it's new deep cello filling his ears, "I won't hold a promise I will not keep." He straightened his posture and turned fully to the alpha, "Because if it happens again..." His voice lowering, "There will be no warning like there was this time. Understood?" His voice quietly harsh, his shoulders relaxing as he nodded towards her and walked around her to the other side of the gallery.
allison
Allison left Chloe only to turn and see her walking in the direction of Nicolas. She walked past the bar and around the dance floor, she had recently been on with Nicolas. Looking over the crowd of couples including Dameon and Sammy, dancing to the slow music. She continued out to the patio and looked out to the lights hanging from the tress and scattered around the grounds. It was a beautiful sight and a matching night. Allison took a deep breath, relieved she now knew what she had to do so she could be with Scott. Dreaming of him walking in, in a dark suit and mask and asking her to dance. If only.
Lydia
Lydia sat down feeling her feet starting to hurt, crossing her legs as she hummed along noticing people were dancing on the floor smiling seeing some of them were couples and some were friends. Lightly tracing the rim of her cup, Lydia thought about calling in for the night.
Chloe
Chloe scowled at Nicolas when he refused, her thoughts drowning out the music playing in the ball room. She looked at him, not blinking as he made the threat, following him when he tried to walk away from her. "You remember what you said to me? About me not understanding the need to avenge Dameon's wounds?" The Alpha stepped in front of him, trying to cut him off. "I do understand that, and it is the reason if you go after the Hale pack, your neck won't be the only body part I'll be snapping." She stepped closer to him, his scent think in her nose. "Stay away from them, Nicolas. That's your last warning."
Nicolas
He smirked, wide, the way his words rubbed her all sorts of wrong, "I remember them perfectly." He replied, stopping as she stood in front of him, "That is quite the threat, really." He challenged her, stepping into her personal space, his face going close to her ear, "Is it them, or is it him?" He pulled back cocking his head, his index tapping against his nose, "Don't play it off as a protection of a pack, when we both know you only want to protect one, just as Allison only cares for one. Stop playing buffer." He took a step back as he smiled, turning and leaving the gallery.
Dameon
Dameon continued to sway with her. "You must be cause I'm having tons of fun." he laughed . "Oh no, not the peach ring. It means he liked liked you. You're gonna break his tiny heart." he joked. "That's good to hear Sammy, and no I haven't seen the little guy around." he looked around surprised yet another person not here. the two most important people, not here. He overheard a conversation in the distance. Sighing. Ignoring it as he looked down and smiled at his dance partner. "If Kellen gave you a peach ring would you eat it?" he said taking the time to laugh about this and tease there relationship.
allison
Allison walked back into the dance noticing that many people were beginning to leave. She looked over and saw Chloe and Nicolas talking, it didn't look like a pleasant conversation and she didn't want to get on Nicolas' bad side so she stayed away. She looked around the room and saw Lydia sitting by her self. She walked straight over to her, though the dance floor and sat down next to her. "So where are our dashing princes hiding behind masks, to sweep us off our feet?"
Samantha
Sam pretend to gasp out loud. "That's unfortunate...now he will be crushed I ate our ring...but it's fine...I bet he won't mind if I gave him a juice box." Samantha smiled thinking about the little boy from her work that said she was married to him over a peach ring. Looking up at Dameon and looked away with a tiny blush on her cheeks. "I-I....no." She said sheepishly looking down at their feet. "But if it starts calling my name to eat it...I would. Peach rings are rather delicious."
Chloe
Chloe narrowed her eyes at him, her face slightly pulling back when his got close, glowering as he referenced Isaac. She wasn't sure how he knew about that, or if she wanted to find out, but the knowledge burned in her stomach. If he only put a finger on the Beta, she would tear him to shreds. "I protect them all," she drawled, watching him leave, her eyes staying on his as he smiled.
Lydia
Lydia looked up and smiled. "Probably took the wrong turn on finding us." She said taking off her mask. "This thing is starting to bother me, it keeps getting in my eyes and blocking my vision." Lydia said shrugging her shoulders. "Where did you run off to by the way?"
allison
Allison sighed. "Must have, or they would be here by now." She answered her best friend. She watched as Lydia took off her mask, deciding to keep hers on. "Oh I just saw someone I want to say hi to then a little walk. Just thinking. Are you okay?"
Lydia
"Well damn stubborn men, their egos to big to ask for directions." She said throwing a hand in the air. "Who you see?" she asked curiously."I feel sick....like....something...someone's after shave is making me want to puke." Lydia said honestly, already getting tired of her sense's from being pregnant get stronger.
Dameon
Dameon smiled. "I'm sure he ate his ring as well." he whispered. "Juice boxes will fix it but you might need the infamous Mr.Teddy, attourney at law." he said going along with it. As he saw her blush. "Well that's okay, they're meant to be eaten, Kellen will understand." he said as he twirled her, before dipping her. Keeping his eyes on the brunette for a few seconds before bringing her up. "Figured you needed a good first dance." he said smiling.
Allison
Allison laughed at Lydia's comment. "Ummm Chloe, do you know her?" She would not lie to her friend, there was no need. She frowned at her friends predicament. "You wanna go home?"
Samantha
Samantha smiled. "I'll be sure to bring Mr. Teddy in this conversation if things get complicated with the divorce." She said going along with it. "That's good...I miss him, haven't seen him around." She said before being twirled and dipped. Samantha grinned meeting his eyes. "This is one great first dance. Surprised I didn't step on your feet--"She said just when she stand on his toe. "Spoke a little too early."
Lydia
"I think I met her...once...or twice." She said trying to remember conversations she had with a few people. Waving a hand in her face she shook her head no. "It's too early to leave the party..perhaps I'm just hungry..at least I hope so." Lydia frowned realizing this was getting ridiculous to crave such things at this time of the night. "I want Chinese food."
Dameon
Dameon grinned. "Don't want things to get messy, I heard the worst things you can fight over, is nap time. Mr.blankey, and the children." he laughed as he looked down. "I miss him too, that kid works hard, I'm sure if anything you guys will hang out." he said as he smiled back. He felt a light tap on his foot. "It's okay, we won't count that." he smiled at how goofy she was. She definitely was someone who would go with Kellen. "I'm sure no one will mind, a stunning woman such as yourself stepping on some toes." he said relieving her. "I'm gonna go have maybe one more dance, and I can't steal such a pretty woman's time." he said as he gave her a hug to go search for someone to mingle with talk with, going over to Chloe. "Everything okay?" he asked the obvious upset alpha as he offered his hand, for a dance. "I figure we could talk and dance, I'm still in a dancing mood." he smiled gently
Lydia
Samantha smiled knowing she will text him tomorrow to see if they should hang out and perhaps rent a movie. "Bye Dameon...see you around." She said waving goodbye and walked to the bar to grab a soda and search for any faces she would normally see or talk too.

Allison
Allison listened to the music and watched the couples dancing. "Hungry, what for?" She listened to her friends request. "I'l see what I can find, wont be long." She got up and walked over to the food area. She saw Chloe walking away quickly from the gallery area. She looked around for Nicolas not seeing him. She hoped nothing bad had been said between them. Be fore she reached the food she stopped at the bar, getting one more glass of champagne. Taking a sip from it she saw Dameon approach Chloe. She looked around again having some more of her drink. "Nicolas." She spoke normally, but to no one, not have any idea if he could hear her.
Chloe
Chloe had left the gallery, setting her tray down on one of the tables as she loosened the bow tie at her neck. She was upset, worried that Nicolas could go after Isaac. Still, the vampire had mention he would only try if "it happened again". That had to be good, right? She raised her eyebrow as Dameon approached her, straightening herself when he asked if everything was okay. "Still not all fond of your maker but I'll get over it." She smiled at his hand, motioning to her uniform. "I'm working, Dameon; can't let them see me dancing."
Dameon
Dameon shrugged. "He takes awhile to get used too but then again you snapped his neck, I think that might take some time to get over." he said rolling his eyes. "Disguising yourself, how often have you been doing this?" he said as he kept his hand in the air. "C'mon one dance with a vampire. Promise I won't bite, and if anyone questions. Well I believe you know how persuasive my kind can be." he said keeping it held out. "Might ease your mind on all the stressful events." he said shrugged
Chloe
"He was trying to kill Derek," she snapped back at the vampire. She sighed afterwards, not wanting to upset Dameon as he seemed to be in an a great mood. He deserved it, especially after all that had happened to him in the past week. The werewolf shrugged, "Long enough." She stared at him, finally giving up and taking his hand. "You have years of experience; I better not get stepped on." She grinned.
Dameon
"Well...Wouldn't you if he tried to harm one of your beta's? Sort of the vampire equivalent when someone harms a Maker's progeny. Can't say the urge to snap his neck off has gone away since I saw one of his beta's, and no not the one Nicolas was referring too." He said not want to seem like he would've killed a beta she was caring for, apparently. "Although the way she acts, I feel bad for what Derek deals with. She's definitely a handful" he said remembering, even though Erica was overall okay some of her comments towards her alpha were definitely disheartening. He took her hand in his. "Should've seen my moves earlier." he smiled. " You won't, I'm a master of the waltz, tango, salsa, rumba, etc etc." he said as the slow music came on, pulling her gently near him. His hands on her shoulders, moving slowly with the music. "See, not so bad?" he said to her as he looked her over. slightly readjusting his mask.
Chloe
Chloe rolled her eyes, understanding but still angry towards Nicolas. "I know," she mumbled, knitting her eyebrows together when he mentioned one of Derek's Betas. "Which one do you mean then?" She decided not to bring Isaac's name into the conversation, the fact apparently everyone knew about them bothering her. "Haven't met any female members of his pack." She rolled her eyes playfully as he gloated, reminding herself to let him lead as he pulled her close. "I must say I'm impressed," she replied, letting the music move her body as her eyes looked over Dameon's mask. "It's yours starting to bother you cause I'm about to throw mine in the fountain outside."
Dameon
Dameon shrugged. "It's fine, I get it. What he was doing was something he shouldn't of done but I can't get mad at that. Sorry, Vampire werewolf codebook you know." he joked. "Her name is Erica, I don't know I'm not too fond of her attitude at times, she's okay though, at least she respects some boundaries. Although it's very sad how insulting she is to her Alpha." he said, he should feel glad but he felt sorry for Derek. He looked her over. "Try to avoid her as long as you can." he said smiling as he moved forward and twirled her out, before bringing her back, her back against his chest his hands in hers. "It's not bad, just the flower, is a bit annoying." he said swaying a few seconds before turning her around to face him. "How are things with..your investigation? Anything you can let me know about?" he asked keeping her eyes on the alpha smiling.
Chloe
Chloe chuckled, nodding at him. She listened to him talk about Derek's Beta, never hearing the name until today. She wondered what the other werewolf could have said to make the vampire so uncomfortable, and actually feel bad about someone insulting 'dogbreath'. "I guess just cause it's a pack it doesn't mean everyone has to like each other. Kind of like family; only you actually have the choice to choose them but still manage to find those who annoy you." She remembered how her god-mother would get into fights with her Alpha, always saying she was leaving but taking so long no one ever believed her. She had left though, right when they needed her. The Alpha grinned, "Thanks for the heads up." She let him twirl her around, her mind counting the steps to make sure she did not hit him with her foot. "The flower it's a bit too much," she commented, laughing afterwards. The brunette smiled back at him when she was facing him again, her eyes parting from his when he asked about her investigation. "I talked to Derek, his information matching yours. I've just been trying to catch the hunters scent around town."
Dameon
Dameon nodded as he looked her over. "Well, I guess you learn something new everyday. I just didn't think she'd go as far as telling me had she met me and my kind before Derek she'd choose to take being turned over the bite." he said, not really caring if he told Chloe, trusting her. "I have to say it's very alarming, since both of those things I don't like the sound of." saying to the alpha. "I mean, if she only knew that sometimes being human can be very freeing. Even if sometimes we all go through bad stuff." he said to her, sighing. As she managed to not hit his foot. "I have to say you're an impressive dancer yourself. Ms.Chloe...what is your last name anyways?" he asked curious. "Don't answer if you don't want to." he said to her., not wanting to ruin a nice dance. "Well that's okay. I guess." he looked down. Not sure how to respond to that.
Chloe
Chloe widen her eyes, the information about Erica catching her by surprise. "Sometimes there's a lot of resentment when people don't get what they want or expect from the bite." It reminded her of Marina, her god-mother, making the Alpha frown. "Sadly not everyone is meant to be one of us." She shrugged, "I guess but I rather be a wolf." The brunette chuckled in response, "I had a crush on this guy who loved to dance when I was younger; got my mom to teach me so I could impress him." She laughed. "Didn't work though. And it's Jimenez." Chloe was sure she would regret that but decided not to think about it. "There's not much to lead me to him so it's something."
Dameon
Dameon sighed. "Well trust me, there was plenty of resentment when I was turned although unlike her, I didn't have much the choice." he said realizing his maker had left the ball, it was safe to talk about it. "I don't know, she seems confident, and doesn't have to deal with her human issue she was having." he said wanting to respect that her issue was indeed a personal one. "Nope, she'd make a horrible vampire. She'd be off the rails in seconds." he said shrugging. "I don't know, I know I wouldn't be on the wolf, no shifting for me thanks." he said laughing. "I prefer to be human because I felt like I had more compassion for things. I still do, but a lot of negative traits got amplified and well, let's just say I was off the rails from the get go." he said feeling comfortable talking about this. "Well, your mom taught you well." he said impressed by the wolf's moves to the music. "Well, that sucks. I'm sure you'll find a guy that'll be impressed by this, and oh. Nice. Mine's Connors, yours is more fitting.
Dameon
than mine." he said noticing her last name fit her description. Although how Dameon sounded Connors is a last name that could fit him now.
Dameon
"I know there mustn't be much, damn hunter left before we could find anything." he said not commenting on the alpha biting him.
Chloe
Chloe shrugged slightly, not sure on how to reply. "I was born a wolf; never known anything else. I guess you can say I'm bias." She raised an eyebrow at him. "Isn't every vampire always off the rails at first?" She wrinkled her nose and added, "just like every wolf." She listened to him, feeling pity as he seemed to truly miss his human life. The brunette laughed slightly at his comment though, shaking her head. "I was always a good girl when young." She smiled, her face brightening, when he mentioned her mother. "She was an amazing dancer. No matter the occasion, there always had to be a dance." She furrowed her brow. "My last name fits me? What do you mean? And Dameon Connors had a nice ring to it." She held off a chuckle, "Sounds like a music teacher; Mr. Connors." She patted his shoulder, shaking her head. "They'll be other times. I'll get to him."
Dameon
Dameon sighed, understanding "I was born Human, so I'm just as bias. " he said smiling, as he shrugged. "I don't know, I think if I had Nicolas, I'd have more control over my feeding habits. I had to learn everything on my own. So..." he trailed off. He listened to her, her mom kind of reminding him of his own mom. "My mom was more of the cook, but she was an okay dancer herself. Yes, we had dancing back then." he joked. "Well it has spanish roots if I'm correct, it fits how you look. I don't know if that's offending. It's not meant to be. I'm French, yet my last name is pretty english in my opinion." he said shrugging. "Really?" he laughed. "Can't see myself as the music teacher type." he said. as he nodded. "That you will. I believe in ya." he said continuing to sway
Chloe
"So your makers wasn't with you when you turned?" She frowned. "That sounds horrible." She imagined it was like waking up without her father in the middle of the night, which she knew was the most horrible feeling she ever felt. "My mom cooked horribly," Chloe laughed. "I guess they would balance each other out if the met. And balls like this were done even before the 19th century. I took history, Dameon." She shook her head. "Not an insult, it's a fact. My great great grandfather and his pack moved to the States from Spain." She wrinkled her nose, her eyes parting quickly from his to watch her feet. "I gotta agree, Connors it's not very French." She smiled. "Glad someone does."
