Yo, I just got into RWBY and I'm new to the fandom, so I just want to say thanks for the blog. I know that ships are a big part of any fandom, so this'll really help me learn about the fandom.

Though, I can only say that with certainty because I know beyond a doubt I’ve converted @topographical-curves to my aromantic!Ren headcanon.

I think the only other suggestion I’ve seen was Red Dawn...in fact, I’m sure that was it, because I’m almost positive I made a Wolverines joke.

…but on the other hand, you’re not wrong.

Personally, I’m waiting to see if they work in a Team Nice Dynamite joke. Although that could be the platonic name, I suppose.

Got a few Suggestions for some of the ships that haven't seemed to have set sail here yet. RubyxCoco = Chocolates & Roses (aka Valentine's Day), BlakexNeptune = Catfish, YangxRoman = Roman Candle, NeptunexPenny = Short circuit, YangxGlynda = Fireball, IronwoodxPenny = Heavy Metal, RubyxIronwood = Ironthorns, OzpinxPenny = Clockwork, PyhrraxPenny = Magnetic Attraction, NeptunexCinder = Geysers, Thats all I got for now.

Gosh, that’s a lot of suggestions!

Chocolates & Roses — Sounds like a lovely valentine!

Catfish — Splash! Splash! :D

Roman Candle — I could have sworn we already had this one…

Geysers — Neat! Or perhaps something about deep-sea hydrothermic vents?

(Would they be a white smoker or a black smoker?)

Clockwork — Karakuri (clockwork puppets), perhaps?

Short circuit — That sounds more like they wouldn’t work out…

(Like a toaster in the bathtub, yikes! >_<;)

Magnetic Attraction — Either that, or something about an EMP?

(Another scary premise for our favorite robot bae >_<;)

Ones Admin Penny Is Not Sure About: 

Fireball — I get it, it’s a magic spell, but maybe there’s another spell name? I’m not sure why this doesn’t click for me.

Heavy Metal — Who exactly is contributing the ‘Heavy’ in this scenario? D:

Ironthorns — Again, I’m just not quite sure. I feel like I’m missing an obvious joke or pun, and somebody else might have an even better suggestion…

But! That’s just one robot’s opinion. What does everybody else think?

There is a ship for Scarlett and Ruby called “Shades of Red,” and an alternate for Mercury x Emerald called “Emery,” plus an alternate for Renora called “Team Sloth.”

If I’m not mistaken, Shades of Red is on our list. 

I wonder, should that be “Emery” or “Emury”?

Personally, I use Team Sloth for a platonic ‘pairing’ for those two, since Renora is pretty entrenched as the go-to romantic shipname.
