How do y’all feel about the new season????
hihi this is adapted from the tea and books ask, but specific to haikyuu: 1) who are your favourite characters!! 2) who is the character that you relate to the most? 3) pick any character(s) to do an activity of your choice together with! what activity would it be and share more about why you chose the character(s)?? I'm excited to hear your answers hahah 😉😉😉
rowan: ooo fun!! okay, so–
1) I’M REALLY BAD AT DOING THIS bc i honestly Adore Everyone– but if i had to go for my top 5 (i know jkds), i’d go - bokuto (he’s so stupid,,, n i love him so much for it,,,)- yachi (my daughter)- kuroo (not to be dramatic or anything but i’m In Love with him–)- sugawara (my first haikyuu love,,, and a Good Man)- oikawa (i keep watching the final match in season 2 & it’s making me have emotions –)
2) oo good question,,, probably a blend of suga (unwittingly in the mother role), and ASAHI OH MY GOD DLKJDLJK i’m not quite yachi’s level of anxious but i certainly Felt That whenever asahi was talking about it,,, also tadashi’s insecurities hh love feeling like a burden,,,
3) off the top of my head, i’d choose,,, having a shitty movie marathon w kuroo bc i think he’d make it really funny?? or i’d take bokuto to a really avant-grade art exhibition (like patricia piccinini’s curious affection — pls look that up) bc i think he’d have the best reactions to things?? those probably sound like lame choices BUT this is a sort of question i’d agonise over ahaha
v: omg thank you for this!! it was rly fun tot hink about haha
1) i dont really have favs bc lbr the fact that just about every chara is great in their own way is one of the best points of haikyuu... however, yachi, kiyoko and lev have a special place in my heart :’)
2) i can see parts of myself in a lot of them haha,,,,,, i guess those that esp stand out are probably yachi, asahi and ennoshita-
3) uhh going to an amusement park with alisa. bc i love amusement parks and havent been to one in forever and. well. yknow. i love alisa and want to take her on a date,,,, im sure itd be fun w her!
🎨 do you have any hobbies you regret quitting? would you consider starting them again?
rowan: YES I DO!! i used to box!! when i was like,,, thirteen?? i gave up after a year or so bc i have a history of being notoriously bad at sticking with things (i used to play the flute & paint too, but,,,) but i wish I’d kept boxing so i’d be Strong,,, i could be Buff right now and the fact i’m not is my burden to bear
v: regret may as well be my first name so... absolutely. the fact that i keep quitting and going back to art should already be rly telling haha.i regret quitting piano when my teacher disappeared, i... dont really regret quitting guitar but i DO regret not being more adamant about getting another teacher who would actually teach me e-guitar like i wanted to. i esp miss singing and swordfighting which i had to quit bc i moved for uni :( i actually wanted to at least take up the latter again (one of the reasons i chose this uni, after all-) but last semester was a bit messy and whatnot, so i made a lot of effort towards making my schedule work this semester, but. well. y’all know whats going on :^)

what food is your go-to when you want something easy to make/prepare?
rowan: wholemeal pasta with pesto!! it’s kind of a comfort food for me too
v: is bread a valid answer? :^) but apart from that… scrambled/fried egg i guess? its easy to make, tastes good and is a proper #meal too. AND you can eat it with bread-
heyyy congrats on the 500!!! can I request flower, galaxy and effervescence for the pretty asks? :))
flower - what’s your favourite thing about yourself?
rowan: this was really hard ajdkfk,,, appearance-wise, i guess i kinda like my nose?? as for my personality,,, i like that i do my best to be open-minded and accepting (even tho i’m still a bit too opinionated at times)?? and that i’m learning to accept being wrong sjfkfk
v: uhhh physically its probably my eyes? i like their colour! personality-wise… probably that i try to be as reliable as possible? probably sounds weird but like. my brain is so #wack that im proud of myself that im still trying regardless (its not without reason that i sometimes joke about my love language being “consistency” lol)
galaxy - your favourite and least favourite films?
rowan: this might be because i watched it last night, but i adore into the spiderverse!! if you haven’t watched it yet you should because it’s a delightful experience!! i really miss animated films, and it made me Feel Things,,, it’s hard for me to choose a least favourite (bc i usually block bad films out of my mind), but for now i’m going to go with jurassic world: fallen kingdom?? i was a big dinosaur kid growing up and i loved the first jurassic park, so seeing that they made such a dumb travesty of the film (while still trying to include nostalgia-bait imagery) made me upset.
v: my fav is def school of rock!! its pretty much the only film thats ever stuck with me for years after watching it lol. it just has this rly fun and positive vibe that i adore! for least favs… im admittedly not a film person so im not sure? i just forget p much all of them more or less ahah,,, but from those ive watched somewhat recently (read: not longer than a year ago) it might be jumanji 2, not bc its outright terrible or anything, but it just felt like. a massive waste of potential? like it couldve been rly fun but instead i found myself all :/ for the majority of it. the incorrect use of inhaler pissed me off MASSIVELY-
effervescence - do you have a favourite poem/poet?
rowan: ooo i’m so glad you asked this!! i’m absolutely in love with khalil gibran’s the prophet?? if you’ve never heard of it, it’s a long-form poem & it delves into his personal philosophies on life. i find it very beautiful & calming, and i tend to read it whenever i’m feeling stressed or upset. i have a particular fondness for the sections on friendship, love & self-knowledge,,,
v: this is like. a rly hard question for me to answer bc while theres a lot of stuff i absolutely adore, my memory may as well be non-existent,, i havent really engaged with poetry much since graduating our high school equivalent and pretty much all of my stuff is still with my parents so i cant really check either. there was a poem about current events that really Hit Me but ofc i cant find it anymore :^) so ill just cheat and say the poems written in the dialect of my hometown-

Oof yeah I was a tucute and I as agender and pansexual… It wasn’t too bad fortunately, and I was never hostile towards anyone, I was just kinda quietly in the back like “w-well, everyone’s valid…!” And I also forced a lot of ~diversity~ onto my ocs. My opinions never really lined up with that, it’s just the people around me made it hard for me to even think of anything else.
