haise and his s/o go to an adventure park but his s/o is really nervous about going on a rollercoaster after a bad experience and so he tries to convince them they'll be fine with him next to them on the ride
He was a little anxious himself about getting on the rollercoasters, but seeing his lover so nervous instilled in Haise a sort of determination. If he wanted to make this day as fun as possible to override the bad experience his s/o told him about. While Haise had a personality that could be called clumsy, he truly was a sure, steadfast person who put the well-being of others above his own self. He wouldn’t force his lover to get aboard any of the rides, but he would do his best to convince them.
“C’mon, ___! It’ll be fun,” he assured with a wide grin. The ride he had chosen was more mild than the others available at the amusement park. The curves and drops weren’t so high or steep - it was a beginner’s ride, a ride for people who weren’t too fond of extreme ups and downs. Haise noticed the uncertainty in his lover’s actions and features, and in response, softened his own expression.
“You’ll be fine with me next to you. I’ll keep you safe no matter what!” Still smiling, Haise gave his s/o a thumbs up, confident in his declaration.
Victory seeped into him as Haise watched his lover’s lips curve into a bigger smile. “Okay, okay. Let’s go, Haise,” they relented, their shoulders lowering as the tension and anxiety eased from their muscles bit by bit.
In the end, it was Haise’s lover who was dragging him from rollercoaster to rollercoaster, tugging him by the hand and pointing to the next ride they wanted to get on. While Haise could feel his stomach turning in his abdomen, he was entirely weak against that gleeful smile on his lover’s face. Maybe just one more.
