hello there! we just had a message for our american applicants, followers, tag lurkers, etc. in light of recent events ( namely the firing and upcoming eviction of the fascist, anthropomorphic yam in the oval office ) the admins at mischiefhq want to make something perfectly clear; we will not accept bigotry on our server or in the space we cultivate on this blog. we stand with the rights and safety of people of color, particularly BIPOC; of women, particularly women of color; of those who have faced religious discrimination, particularly the muslims that have been targeted because of trump’s violent islamophobia; of the queer community, particularly those who are trans; of the disabled community; of those particularly oppressed by capitalism; and of everyone who has been discriminated against or endangered under this administration. we want to provide an escape for people and the best way we can see to do that is to cultivate a safe, inclusive space for our players. that being said, if you don’t join us in standing against this hatred, that’s fine. but please know that this space is not for you and we will not allow ourselves and our potential players to be placed in harm’s way.
these are dark times, we know, but as noted feminist appropriating radical transphobe jkr said "happiness can be found in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light." now, jkr is a horrible human being, but her works have inspired a community that we love to and will continue to be apart of, while we can reclaim her text together. and that's what we need right now; community and also jkr bashing but i digress. we hope that we can provide that sense of community to our players, but, more importantly than all of that, we hope that everyone reading this stays safe and knows that we will always have the capability to turn on the light — together.
