Hey everyone~ Long time to see!

I apologize for the lack of updates and activity on this blog! I can’t believe it’s already October (Spoop-tober!!)... Taime just seems to fly! (lol get it. bc I’m Taime, and it’s also pronounced as time. and time flies. ha. haha. sorry;;)

Anyway, I was wondering, though, would people still be interested in a return of the Shonen Hollywood Secret Santa Event this year? If enough people are interested, we can bring it back again for our third year in a row. If not, then that’s okay too! I was just wondering if our little community will come together again this upcoming holiday season. :^) 

(Also- because my love for ShoHari will never fade, I started designing some sticker/charm/button designs for the boys.... I wonder if anyone would be interested in them? I’ll give an update when things start coming together, lol.)

Hai hai! I was just wondering how is admin taime's name pronounced? I always pronounced it as like the taime in je taime in french but i wanted to make sure

I’ve been expecting a question like this to come in sometime, lol.

Taime is pronouned like the word “time”! Like the time on the clock kind of time. It’s just a more unique spelling that came from a different context. I can understand why people think it comes from “je t’aime”, though, so no worries! I actually never thought about it like that until one of my friends told me, lol.

With French, it is actually spelled as “je t’aime” (with the ‘t’ from “te” and the ‘aime’ from “aimer” being two different words) and pronounced like “je-TEM”. The ‘ai’ having more of an ‘e’ sound like in the word “vet” and “met”. In my name, the “ai” is pronounced more like “eye”. The ‘e’ at the end is silent, so it turns out like “time”. So let’s say it was written in Japanese, then it will be like “タイム” (ta-i-mu).

So, I hadn't planned on actually joining Twitter, even if it was to vote for ShoHolly on the Tokyo AniFest, until I saw someone mention that Gintama was catching up quick and that the person had no idea why ShoHolly was on top. At that moment, I was like, "I'LL SHOW YOU WHY THEY'RE ON TOP!" and I got myself an account to vote.

LOLOL SAME! This made my day reading this, lol. We’re ranked up high for a reason!! I’m so happy to see them doing so well in the polls- of course we gotta support them and show everyone else just how great ShoHolly is!!

The Shonen Hollywood Secret Santa for 2015 has come to an end. Thank you so much to everyone for participating!! All the time, effort, and love you all put into your gifts was incredible to see, and the finished products were absolutely stunning! I hope everyone had fun and enjoyed themselves, and I hope this event helped people make new friendships or strengthen older ones. Thank you so much, everyone! I hope everyone has had a great Christmas and wonderful holidays!!

Admin Taime: Ahh, this is Admin Taime! I wanted to leave a personal thank you for the end of this event... Though we had a bit of trouble at the beginning of the event, all of you stuck through with us with great patience, understanding, and kindness, and I can’t tell you how much that helped me out. When I realized my mistake, I panicked and I had thought everyone was upset and that I ruined the event... But with everyone’s support, I felt like things could get resolved- And they did. It was all thanks to everyone that this event was a success. Without all of you participating and sharing your talents and love for this series, none of this- the blog, the event, the happiness- none of it would have happened without all of you. Seeing everyone so happily working and eager to make their gifts was something I loved seeing. It made me extremely happy and honestly, seeing everyone participating with such happiness and excitement is one of the best gifts I could receive this holiday season. So thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much.

Admin Lucy: Hello! It is me, your friendly neighborhood admin! This year I finally had the chance to take part of the Secret Santa (because I missed it last year, lol) and it was fun! While working on my gift, I had the chance to try developing my writing skills to a further extent, and while helping with the organization, I had the chance to talk with some of you, which was a very cool experience~ But in the end, what made me the happiest was seeing everyone’s gifts and also the reactions you guys had when “receiving” them! Thanks to everyone who took part and thanks to everyone who was just looking too, you guys are also important! You’re all amazing and I hope that next year will be a good one for everyone.

Also, if some of you couldn’t take part of the Secret Santa for some reason although you wanted to, don’t worry! We’re planning some things for next year, so wait a little bit for more cool stuff that’s coming soon!

quick question about the secret santa (sorry if you already mentioned this somewhere on the blog?), are we just uploading the gifts on the 23rd, or is there also somewhere that we're supposed to submit them today (or later i guess) for you guys to see that we're done? :o

Hi there!

Today (Dec. 20) is basically just a checkpoint. We trust that you all do your best to complete them by today, so we don’t have a check-in. For those that have not finished by today (which is completely fine- no worries!), they have until the 24th, which is our last day of submissions, to hand their gifts in. We’ll have the submission form up on the 23rd in PST, so do keep an eye out for that!

Hi hi! I was wondering, can we post our gifts on the 25th? Or are we all supposed to upload our gifts on the 23rd? I'm a bit confused, sorry ~ :^)

Hello!

We would prefer if you could upload your gifts on the 23rd and/or the 24th! We will be using those two dates to “round up” all the gifts. Then, we will have a record of who sent in their gifts and who did not.

By the 25th, all the gifts will be distributed. For the gifts that were uploaded onto tumblr, we will reblog them collectively on this blog. For the gifts that were uploaded on to a different website (ie. deviantART, AO3, etc.) and have not been chosen to be uploaded by the secret santa, then we will post it here ourselves.

Of course, last minute submissions will be accepted also (preferably sent in before December 25th at midnight, PST). So if you finish your gift on the day of, no need to worry! We’re pretty flexible people here, haha. We’d just prefer (and highly recommend) to get things in by the 23rd and 24th so we can stay on top of things.

Sorry for causing some confusion! I hope things make more sense now! A post regarding submissions will be up soon as well, so do look out for that!

Aha, no worries! I’m fine. Just a lot of things have been happening this week and I got a bit stressed and disoriented. It’s finally the weekend for me now so I’ll be able to relax a bit after I send in the proper match-ups to everyone, but I’ll be fine. Sorry for all the trouble. Thank you for your concern, though!
