also fun fact - before my break in january i was actually working on a fun post series of "underrated fc recs" which was mostly nugu but i also put some less-used members of popular groups in there, i put a lot of effort into these posts but i chose to delete them from my drafts when i got back from break to get a fresh start.. i would definitely be up to redoing those posts if y'all are interested, i'd also love for u guys to submit fc suggestions and i would post them in a cute organized way :3

i would like to rejoin but what will the admin be doing differently in an attempt to prevent the bubble roleplaying and cliques that were happening in the server?

hiii !! that’s a completely fair question ‹𝟹

we took the feedback from our first run seriously, which is why we made a couple of changes going into the revamp. we added two new activity rules aimed at encouraging more interaction across the server: muses are expected to participate in group chats rather than only communicating through private messages, and ships can only be established after one week ooc. the second rule isn’t because we think shipping is a bad thing, it absolutely isn’t, but during our first run we noticed that some muses ended up interacting almost exclusively within their romantic dynamics, and we’d like to encourage people to build friendships, rivalries, group dynamics, and connections outside of that first.

we’re also now a team of three admins instead of two, which gives us a lot more room to keep an eye on activity and step in if we notice people unintentionally falling into isolated bubbles. our goal isn’t to police how people write, but to create an environment where everyone has opportunities to interact and feel included.

obviously no server can guarantee that cliques will never form, since friend groups irl are much like that too, but we’re much more aware of the issue this time around and have put measures in place to actively discourage it instead of just hoping it doesn’t happen !

dean cordelia briar is elated to welcome the new and returning student body into briar university as the fall semester officially starts. with so much changing all around us, orientation week is more important than ever to properly unify the school and show all the briar spirit!

after a lot of deliberation, briarport’s admin team has decided to revamp and restart our server from the beginning, this time starting from the fall semester and following the student body of briar u throughout the year. we plan on keeping the same plot and locations, tweaking only small things to make your experience as a mun better going forward. we will be re-opening as fast as possible to make sure everyone can continue their personal plotlines and we hope you all choose to stay with us when the server re-opens. ♡
