how does moira react when she finds out her s/o sings while working??
She's observed her s/o's behaviour and concluded that it probably helped them concentrate, or if it was some small humming it was probably out of habit or something so she leaves them be. So long as her s/o doesn’t hurt themself while they’re singing (one way or another) they should be fine. Besides she found it quite endearing, a quirk in her s/o that makes up a part of them.
Though if they worked in the same lab it would be a different story, especially if it breaks her concentration abruptly.
Moira would try keep a cool head about it. The first few times she just lets her s/o know that it is /incredibly/ distracting when they sing so to keep it down when working in the lab with her. But if it keeps happening again and again she'd eventually run out of patience and she'd snap, shouting at her s/o in a tone the geneticist rarely ever uses when talking to her s/o.
Her s/o would most likely shut their mouth abruptly. It wasn't often Moira broke her calm composure. They would resume their work in the lab, in silence coated in tension so thick it could be cut with a butterknife. It takes a while for the two to make up, but Moira eventually talks with her s/o about it and they reach an understanding where her s/o in the end makes an effort to not sing in the lab while Moira reminds her s/o gently when they do sing while working.
