Hello RebelCaptain shippers!

  ☆ Our Beta and Graphic Artist Resource is now live ☆

As a reminder, this spreadsheet is a compilation of all people who have signed up to either be a beta and/or a graphic artist for fanfiction writers to contact for help. So, if you see someone who has the talents and attributes you need—send them a note! Definitely don’t be shy, everyone is on the list because they want to be ♥ (If you’re participating in the RebelCaptain Secret Valentine, this is a great place to find a beta or artist for yourself!)

A few tips for contacting your beta:

Be sure to introduce yourself—it’s always easier working with someone when you know a little about them :)

Let your beta know what your fic/plan is about and the planned length (sometimes they can only do short or long works!)

Also, please do note if you want constructive critique when you’ll be working. The more clear everyone is about expectations, the easier it will be.

Remember to thank your beta when it’s all said and done! (A great way to do that is via credit on your fic/post, but a personal message is never amiss.)

Hello RebelCaptain shippers!

To better support the this amazing ship and the community we are building here, The RebelCaptain Network would like to create a resources page to provide fanfiction authors more help, as well as visibility for people that work in more visual mediums.

As you know, to build a community you need to create partnerships and offer help when you can. So, we’ve decided to launch a Beta and Graphic Artist Resource. We will compile a spreadsheet of all people who have signed up to either be a beta and/or a graphic artist, so that fanfiction writers can contact these people to get help with their fic.

Our hope is that this will create friendships and partnerships amongst our members, and within the ship community at large. We want you to get to know each other! This also gives a way for people to contribute that maybe are not fic writers or graphic artists, but still want to help.

To that end, we ask you to:

Become a beta! If you’re willing to help people edit/work through their fanfiction, please email [email protected] with the following information:

Tumblr Username: (your username)

Your AO3 Username: (if applicable)

Beta for plot?: (are you willing to help authors that reach out to you discuss ideas and plot?)

Beta for grammar?: (are you willing to help authors that reach out to you edit spelling, grammar, etc?)

Beta for Star Wars knowledge?: (do you have good knowledge of the Star Wars universe? can you help with that?)

Smut: (will you work with it? what’s the highest rating you’re willing to work with?)

Anything you don’t wish to beta: (any types of fics you’re not interested in?)

Any special skills?: (language ability, specific knowledge, etc)

Are you currently available to beta: (this is a category that will easily be updated - you can always message us to turn your availability “on or off”)

Become a fic graphic artist! If you are willing to make edits for people’s fics, we ask that you email [email protected] with the following information:

Tumblr Username: (your username)

What your graphics talents are: (gifs? graphics? edits? fanart? au gifsets? multitalented?)

Smut: (will you work with it? what’s the highest rating you’re willing to work with?)

Anything you don’t wish to make works for: (any types of fic you’re not interested in?)

Are you currently available to make works?: (this is a category that will easily be updated - you can always message us to turn your availability “on or off”)

We’d also appreciate a reblog, if you can, to spread the word! The more participants, the better ♥

We’ll launch the initial spreadsheet within a week or so, but submissions to this will always be rolling. We really appreciate everyone’s enthusiasm for this network so far, and we hope to continue growing this community with more ways people can contribute and get to know each other. We have lots more events and similar things on the horizon.
