Important PSA

In wake of the tragedy of the Orlando mass shooting last night, I would like to take an opportunity to urge all Americans who are eligible to donate blood to please go out and donate. 

According to the American Red Cross, you are eligible to donate if you are:

 In good general health and feeling well.

 At least 17 years old (16 years old with parental consent in some states).

Weigh at least 110 pounds.

Have not donated blood in the last 56 days.

How do you guys differentiate when there are different people with the same name messaging the same people? (Just wondering because I'm worried my message won't be responded to because you maybe think I'm the same person as someone you've just answered recently)

Hi!

Not gonna lie, it can be a little tricky. Usually, we look for the way the message is written or typed– most people write pretty distinctively, and some type in all lowercase or don’t or use abbreviations, etc. We also search our tags to view messages people of the same name sent in and see if we recognize recurring things they may have brought up. If we haven’t seemed to have answered your message, please send it in again! We’d love to talk with you!

Agent Coulson! I got great news and I know it's only been a few days since my last update but I'm so freaking excited and happy I could cry! My mom's tumor, the non-cancerous one, is shrinking!!!!!!!!! And this makes me so happy bc I've always been kinda lowkey worried about it but!!!! Agent Coulson! It's Snow White again! (Wow it's been a while huh?) Anyway I come with updates! The birth certificate thing fell through but we had a safety net that we used so we're waiting on that. I also got to see my mom around Christmas and she's doing well! The hairline fractures are pretty much healed up. And (this is the one that I'm most happy about) in the past three four months I've had a lot more good days than before! I'll pop back in a couple months or so, okay? Bye!

I’m so glad to hear your updates! It makes me happy to know that you’re doing well. It’s great that you’ve gotten to see your mom, and it’s probably a relief that the hairline fractures have healed. I’ve gotten a few of those over the years, and they’re not so fun to deal with. I’m also so glad to hear that you’ve had a lot of good days! Keep staying positive!

Hi Thor, it's Starling. We talked a long time ago! I wanted to check in to let you know that things are finally starting to look up for me. I got a conditional offer to university which is super exciting, and I passed all my exams with good marks! I've also started to 'take more control' of myself. On Friday, I wore lipstick and kind of panic attacked my entire walk to school, but then I stuck with it and wore it for the whole day and people looked at me and I was ok with it! :)
