i am answering these three anon questions since i don’t want to spam the dashboard with multiple asks.
1. Are East Asian mythology parents allowed? Like Chang’E, Jacheongbi, etc? Also, are deity parents allowed to repeat themselves throughout different cultures (ex. Diana and then Chang’E)? Sorry for all the questions.
Answer: Yes, they are allowed. We would like it if the children who are of East Asian descent (either Chinese, Japanese or Korean) are matching the mythology and where it originated from for East Asian Mythology.
As for deities that transcends cultures/backgrounds, it would be very tricky to pull it off if one has a child here with certain deities of a different culture. Since let’s say Roman and Greek mythology are almost same. It is a case-by-case situation and you would need to differentiate your muse from the other deities related to their story. And remember that if you apply for the same deity just different culture, we will let you know if you need to alter your muse so that there isn’t conflict with another mun.
2. are studio ghibli parents allowed?
Answer: Unfortunately, they’re not allowed for now.
3. would children of poc characters that are canonly not korean be adopted?
Answer: Yes. We have an example right now in our pending apps, he is the son of Jafar who was adopted. Thank you for answering this, it helps completely.
