Okay normally I don't make story like posts ? Mostly because my writing is not good I fear, I'm not an experienced writer. BUT I do love sharing oc lore to the best of my ability so I'll probably just ramble to you guys about it like you're my closest friends.

So for starters, this is Selenia:

She started as a concept made somewhere I wanna say way back possibly in 2020(?) She was originally gonna be named Alice but I found it unoriginal 😭 and she did have another design before this one so I struggled a lot with a good idea of how I wanted her to exactly look until this point.

Selenia goes by she/they technically, she doesn't say that herself but I decided on that because sure, I literally had friends not even know what gender they were at first so I thought I had to make that clear.

So obviously, she's an oc I made based on myself maybe look-wise, because they're not entirely me ? I want her to be a separate character but of course have them still carry some traits that still feel me. She started out with the intent of selfshipping/ocxcanon with the goblin king from Labyrinth, because I mean ... who wouldn't want to ship themselves with him ?? 🙂‍↕️

But I also started to grow more onto her where I WANT to imagine a way to have her in this universe somehow, even if it's in my head for now, I really grew to love this franchise and the expanded world-building it was given because that's how it technically started for me when I got into Labyrinth (I watched it for Bowie and ended up getting attached to the franchise as a whole but let's not get started on that).

She's an earth witch, I myself label them as some sort of moth witch because of her moth-like attire and the fact that she's around them the most, and that I got her name from the genus of moths. Do they have any powers or magic of any sort ? Kinda ? Since she's an earth witch, she plays around with herbs and such, definitely plays a role in messing around with pollen. Since moths are pollinators of the night, she's more active under the moon and is nocturnal for the same reason.

I like to imagine her making pollen that either makes you sleepy, makes you smitten, or just leaves you with a really bad itch in your nose.

I gave Sel a moth-designed poncho as her default design in honor of my dad since he was always seen wearing a poncho that reminded me of a moth wing whenever it was cold :3 but she's also seen in different attires too at times.

She can fly with it ! It shifts in a way that makes her glide in the night ! I thought that would be a cute touch to her design.

Selenia is a traveling witch who likes to follow her moths wherever they go, so she would definitely find herself in a more forest-like area, probably hidden in one area of the Labyrinth because of course. She's a hermit who likes the company of bugs.

Not much is known about her origin, she was found as a baby by a vined golem named Kudzu who raised her to be in touch with nature though his whereabouts are unknown 3:

She's implied she might've been a wished away baby around the time of another previous king but who knows :3

Her birthday is February 14th on this day !! Since around this time is when I first created her !!

Her dynamic with Jareth is interesting from what I can share with y'all. Selenia never really knows how to act around him since she's never interacted with anyone else and is kinda scared of him, though she does find him attractive. I personally can't see Jareth ever be normal with a potential love interest actually because he himself has personal issues but I would say he likes Selenia's company and intrigues him just as he intrigues her :3

Selenia's often more relaxed and happy compared to Jareth being a bit grumpy and bored when he's not bullying other creatures 😭 so in a way it's kinda a "I can fix him" and "I can make them worse" dynamic. It's probably bad but I like a little bad so they interest me (I say like if I didn't create this dynamic 🙂‍↕️)

I imagine their first meeting is him spotting her to be a hidden resident in his maze unexpectedly and he kinda wanted her gone at one point but eventually just left her to stay.

Selenia doesn't really share any other connections besides them due to her lack of interest in socializing but I could see her really enjoying Sarah's company if they were to ever interact somehow due to Sarah's nice outgoing personality with anyone who's not trying to harm her (she's definitely questioning her type though 💔)

Selenia's a little off-putting to the goblins though due to her demeanor and find her creepy so they're kinda scared of her, that's all.

A random fact about her too is that she has tattoos, she has a big one that covers her neck that displays moons (so no it's not a turtle neck that she's wearing !) and a star on her back as well as some around her shoulder and arm areas !

She's implied to have some Latin origin as well.

And that's all I can share for now about her lore :3 I do plan to make more content with her but she's definitely my most passionate oc right now.
