Hello friend! Could you do a heacanon about the host's having a S/O who does martial arts?
Hello friendly anon! Sorry if these headcanons suck. I only have a very general knowledge of martial arts. I enjoyed writing this request though!
Since Tamaki is naturally very overprotective, he’ll be kind of concerned when his S/O first tell him he/she does martial arts. He’ll keep lecturing him/her about the dangers in martial arts, and how you could easily hurt yourself. He also talks on and on to the other hosts(especially Kyoya) about how dangerous it is(even though Honey protests that it’s not dangerous until he’s literally blue in the face.) However once he/she assures him that no, they’ll be fine when doing martial arts, he stops pestering them much to his/her relief and to the relief of the other hosts. He becomes very supportive of his S/O when he/ she is in competition, and it spurs him/her on to win their match when they hear Tamaki loudly yelling from the stands. And because of that, their S/O is always reassured in the fact that he’s there for them, win or lose.
“Y/N! I LOVE YOU, YOU CAN DO THIS!”
Kyoya doesn’t seem fazed when his S/O tells him they do martial arts. But deep down, he’s ever so slightly concerned. He never tells his S/O his concerns, choosing to listen to Tamaki who is a surprisingly good leader when he chooses to be, and he keeps Kyoya’s concerns secret out of loyalty to his best friend. Soon enough, his concerns fade as he sees how well his S/O is doing in training. And anyway in case of an injury, the Otori family’s private medical staff are on hand to help his S/O recover as fast as possible. Kyoya will watch his S/O at your competitions with a quiet sense of pride and will encourage them to keep going if they lose.
“Come on Y/N…show them who’s the boss.”
Hikaru will probably be even more concerned than Tamaki when his S/O tells him he/she does martial arts. He makes them promise over and over again that they’ll take care of themselves in matches and not to get too seriously injured. He’ll eventually cool down, and he’ll find the fact that his S/O does martial arts kind of cool-unless his S/O injures themselves. In that case, he’ll get overly concerned and state that they should quit martial arts, causing him to have a row with his S/O. Luckily, they manage to reconcile, and his S/O will continue his/her training as normal. Hikaru will be in the front row with Kaoru cheering his S/O on…and on occasion even unknowingly swings the match in their favour thanks to his loud cheering.
“Y/N! I LOVE YOU BABY! YOU’RE GONNA WIN!”
Unlike his twin,Kaoru will be fine, he’ll be totally chill with the fact that his S/O does martial arts. He’ll be a little bit concerned and he’ll confide in Hikaru but he realises he needs to be supportive of you and so he does just that. When they are suffering from injury however, Kaoru will still be supportive but he may act like Hikaru in the sense that he’ll freak out for you a little. Kaoru will probably ask his S/O to teach them a few basic moves, which he’s surprisingly good at. However, he prefers to watch from the sidelines and cheer his S/O on in competitions with Hikaru-and he’s just as loud as his twins when it comes to cheering.
“YES Y/N! THAT’S MY Y/N! SLAY THEM BABE!”
Obviously, Honey knows his S/O does martial arts because they met through martial arts as they trained at the same dojo together. Honey and his S/O fell in love partly because of their passion and dedication to martial arts. They often train alongside each other for major competitions, and they support each other when they’re going through injury. And when the two of them are competing, they cheer each other on a hundred per cent. Honey and his S/O are so good at martial arts that they are considered world/Olympic champion material.
“COME ON Y/N, SHOW THEM WHAT YOU’RE MADE OF!”
Mori would be impressed when his S/O tells him they do martial arts. Seeing as Honey does it, he’s well acquainted with the sport. He also appreciates the fact that you can relate to any difficulties he may have with kendo training, seeing as you’re an athlete yourself. Mori and his S/O can often follow a strict routine without it affecting the other person. They can also give each other space to relax after practice if needs be. Mori quietly supports you in your martial arts, whether you have an injury or winning matches left, right and centre. Mori has never been a cheerer, but he’ll watch from the sidelines if he’s not in a kendo match, silently urging you on to victory.
“Go, Y/N…I believe in you.”
Haruhi would be very interested when her S/O admits she does martial arts. She would think that it’s good that they’re so passionate about a sport, and would be fiercely supportive of them She would be worried that they would seriously injure themselves but that would be her early concern. In fact she wouldn’t mind having to move with her S/O on account of their training if they are required to do so. Haruhi would be a very vocal supporter.
“COME ON Y/N! YOU CAN WIN THIS!”
