Adobe CS2
Does anyone remember my guide about installing Photoshop CS2 for free?
If not then this is the guide here. Well in that guide I gave links to the adobe website with the downloads there, and until recently those links worked, however I checked them today because I wanted PS on my laptop, and unfortunately Adobe have made it mandatory for you to have an Adobe ID to access the files, and I don't have an ID, and I know that some people don't have one either, so I found an alternative page with the direct download links. Which you can find here. The guide I posted for Windows XP/Vista/7 is still valid and works as it says there, just use the new links instead of the old ones and you'll be well away.
Things that make me happy: all things CS2 are free :)

So I installed CS2 on my Windows system and it stops at CD4, looks like that download isn't on the page? Does anyone have CreativeSuiteCS2Disc4.exe file? :/ It says it's "Premium Only". I don't understand, everything's gone smoothly up until now.
I'm trying to uninstall and re-install, we'll see how that goes, but everything was fine up until CD4. Sigh.
Okay guys, I noticed that a few people have found out that Adobe have put up CS2 for a free download and include a serial for it.
However it's not as simple as just downloading and installing it. It's first of all meant for those who bought the program a long way back and need reinstall media, this is done because the activation server has now been taken down. But those of us who want a free version of Photoshop should get this now while it's still there, cause hey, a 600 quid program for nothing? Billy bargain of the century xD However, in order to install on a 64 bit version of Windows XP/Vista/7, you need to do a few things first off. Obviously download the three exe files and save them somewhere safe. Then write down the activation code and keep it safe. Then for Windows Vista/7 go to where they're stored and right click Disk 1 and go to compatibility tab and set "Run This Program in Compatibility Mode" as "Windows XP Service Pack 3" Then check the box "Run as Administrator" and click apply. Do this for the other two files. These steps are not required for XP, it's only for Vista/7 users. Next, double click Disk 2 and when it asks for a folder to save the files to, change the path to "C:\Creative Suite CS2\Adobe Creative Suite 2.0\" All program file paths that I tell you to type in need to be entered without the quotation marks! and continue the extraction and click finish when prompted. Now double click Disk 3 and set the save folder to "C:\Creative Suite CS2" Continue the extraction and click finish when prompted to. Now you can double click Disk 1 and begin the install procedure, but when you get to setting the save folder, also set it to "C:\Creative Suite CS2" and click finish when prompted. When it finishes extracting and you've clicked finish, the install window will pop up. This will have a warning about downloading QuickTime 6, ignore this and continue, and when it asks for the serial number, enter it and continue. The next step is important for 64 bit Windows users ONLY, you need to change the install folder from the default of "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe" to "C:\progra~2\Adobe" YOU MUST NOT INSTALL TO "C:\Program Files\Adobe" THIS IS A 64 bit ONLY FOLDER, ADOBE CS2 IS 32 bit ONLY. If you install to the 64 bit folder, the install will fail and could potentially cause issues with other programs. If you install it anywhere else then you shouldn't have much of a problem, but you still need to double check that there are no () characters in the path name, as this is what causes the install to throw up the error about the path is incorrect. If the "Next" button is greyed out, then just click Browse and then cancel and the next button will be selectable again. For 32 bit users, you do not need to do this step, because you don't have a 64 bit and a 32 bit Program Files folder, you only have a 32 bit version, which is the proper default for CS2. Choose what parts of CS2 you would like and continue, once it has finished, change the activation option to "Do Not Activate" and click next, then you can either check for updates or say no, it doesn't matter, there hasn't been an update for CS2 for at least 2 or more years now, so it's not required. And that's it, it worked for me, and it should work for everyone else, but if not, then it's most likely that the downloaded files are corrupt or the Serial you typed in is incorrect. You must do this soon, cause Adobe are starting to regret doing this, and they may pull the downloads from the website at any time, so hurry up about it. Here is the link http://www.adobe.com/downloads/cs2_downloads/index.html for downloading Adobe CS2, the serial is next to each file, so write that down when you download them.
=D i just read there's the whole CS2 adobe creative suite for free with serial numbers on the adobe site =D i know it's kinda old but if someone is interested in trying it, go ahead and grab it!
