New OCs dropped! Well, one oc actually. Kannen Doom (left) is actually a canon star wars character from the Tag and Bink comics that I revamped. Adonis Doom (right) is a new OC who I've inserted as Kannen’s foundling. They're the coolest people you'll ever meet sorry you can't be them <3
(important to note: I've revamped Kannen's design and a bit of her background but the way it's portrayed in my story Duo of the Fates will not directly contradict pre-established canon)
Some lore/info about these two under the cut:
Kannen is a Mandalorian bounty hunter who was integrated with a True Mando Sect that was hidden by a small Togruta village on Shili. She was Boba Fett's ex-partner in the time of the original trilogy.
Instead of her being Boba's ex like the comic I portray her as an ex-partner like Zam Wesell with Jango. Boba broke off their partnership trying to cut off loose ends and left her stranded/for dead.
(CANON) Boba repeatedly lied to her saying she got him confused with a different clone
(ALSO CANON) Kannen befriended and protected Tag & Bink on a rebel mission to get back at Boba while he was attempted to kill Tag & Bink for stealing his armor.
Her and Boba are over their drama in the Sequels-era and are mostly chill with each other. Adonis however, Can And Will give Boba Fett a hard time whenever he can out of principle that Boba was once mean to his mom.
ADONIS DOOM:
Kannen and Adonis made the choice to not return to Mandalore upon hearing that Bo-Katan was selected to be the ruler for the 3rd time. They still kept in touch with the community though.
"Well third time Could be the charm, but good luck with that!”
Returned to watch Din challenge and reclaim the throne from Bo-Katan once she proved again that she wasn't fit to rule.
Adonis' choice of a beskar bat as his primary weapon was inspired by the Armorer smashing people with hammers
The spikes on his helmet are removable and can be exchanged for other helmet accessories
Wears rocket boots to counteract the weight and speed of his beskar-toed boots when he moves or kicks.
In the Sequels-era he assists in protecting and guiding the hidden mando sects with his warrior skills and natural leadership qualities (even at the young age of 21).
"I wonder what made Ren start wearing a mask again." Kazuda frowned as he contemplated the holo images before them.
"Adonis, this new costume development wouldn’t have anything to do with your little run-in with the Knights last week, would it?" Tag asked, already knowing the answer.
The young Mandalorian puffed out a long sigh through his nose, feigning nonchalance as he swung his Beskar bat over his shoulders. Not that anyone present would actually be upset, as long as General Organa never found out they had anything to do with this.
"He should be thanking you." Kix turned to him with a laugh on his breath, "Finally gave him a real reason to wear a helmet.”
"It was a few teeth and a fractured jaw, he lived." Adonis waved a hand with a dismissive shrug, "Unfortunately."

one day I'll redraw this with Adonis and kyle ron because. This is exactly how their fight scene goes in my head except Adonis is just antagonizing him on purpose while having the upper hand the entire time.
Didn’t TBoBF state that beskar piercing weapons go against the creed, hence why the spear was reforged into chainmail? I’m not sure how Whistling Birds factor into that rule, so it could just be inconsistent writing given that was originally meant to be a S3 episode… But it does raise implications about a beskar executioner’s axe. Obviously the Mandalorians aren’t a monolith as we’ve seen firsthand, but if Adonis is a part of the Watch, would he find Ap’lek’s axe to have an additional layer of insult given what purpose the stolen beskar is used for?
The Wookieepedia page implies that the axe is a much older weapon so it's likely it was from a time of Old Mandalorians that would seem unconventional in current True Mandalorian sects (Nam Beroya and other Old Mandos wielded beskar spears and blades i believe?).
This part is me just spitballing bc it would be so much easier to write interesting stuff if the axe was just scavenged from stolen beskar but it really seems like the whole thing came from a long time ago. So beskar-piercing weapons may be against the creed for normal Mandalorian warriors, but Executioner is a specific ceremonial position. Executions were probably taken very seriously by Old Mandos, so it'd seem fitting if criminals and enemies of Mandalore who received the death penalty would die under the metal blade of its people.
Ironically, it's kylo and the knight who assume Adonis is wielding a weapon of scavenged beskar since a bat is so unconventional for Mandos. At this point in the sequels, Mandos are tricking the galaxy into thinking they fell and dispersed for real. So anytime they go out on a mission, Adonis and his squadron cover their armor in cloaks as a precaution just so everyone keeps thinking that mandalorians no longer exist as a people.
The insult Adonis feels towards Ap'lek is him wielding such a cultural ceremonial tool as a weapon and misusing it against innocents rather than the condemned villains of the galaxy as it was meant to be used against.

fun fact my new oc Adonis is named after this guy i had a class with freshman year of college who had the coolest full name I ever heard and will ever hear in my life and I wish I could say what it was without exposing his identity bc my god. AND he actually looked as cool as his name was too like WHAT
