When and why did Adonis first become interested in computers/hacking?

Adonis was pretty young when they showed any signs of interest in coding and technology. They started learning the basics on how to work with machines and computers, as well as how to hack and enter the neuro-network, as early as twelve. But they REALLY learned the most after they chose to leave their clan. Survival was important and hacking and making tech weapons played a big part in helping to do just that. Even helped them adjust to their new life in Night City.

How does Ad⭐nis indulge? Do they desire getting bigger?

Well, their dream is to one day become a really big star. Already got some fans amongst fellow graffiti artists. They are also a dancer and a hacker. So I think that gaining weight is a little difficult without the right machinery.

Luckily they are set in the future :D

So indulging is easy. So far I think they always keeps snacks nearby while they work on designing their next art piece or messing with some tech for later on down the line. Eat extra at any gatherings they sneak into.

I think at first they have zero plans to gain weight. Wanting to stay nice and slim so they could one day become a star like they wanted. But after accidentally gaining enough weight to be noticeable, they realize that they actually really enjoy it. And basically realize that, yes, they really like how the extra weight feels and now wants to get bigger.

Might Adonis do graffiti?

They always do. That’s actually one of the things that’s remained consistent since I originally made them. Funky 70s-80s fashion sense, graffiti, lots of blues, far too willing to go where all the danger is, making their own tech, and thigh-high boots that double as roller skates.

Really the only thing that’s changed is their appearance, genre/universe and backstory

How did Mal and Adonis get into netrunning?

Adonis got into it out of pure curiosity. They already had a knack for hacking. Even figured out how to put all their quick hacks into one chip so it can all be removed at once, in case they became a danger to others. So it was only natural that they try out netrunning and entering cyberspace.

As for Mal, her parents put her into a program through Arasaka when she was little. It wasn’t a choice. The positions her parents were in, and the expectations they and their bosses had, left no room for choice. Security is the corporations whole shtick. And so Netrunners are what they always look for in potential employees.

How does Adonis show affection to people they like?

Adonis has some ways they prefer to show affection towards people they like. Sneaking food that they stole because they can’t cook over to a friend, family member, or romantic partner. Giving nicknames that match their personalities. And creating tech specifically for the person they like.

Does Adonis ever invent stuff for other people to use? And is that like something they'd sell or will they only make things for people they really trust?

They do sometimes! But, yeah, it’s only for people they really trust. Little gifts here and there to show they care.

So Mal and Adonis used to be friends or at least colleagues, then? Do they recognise their old friend at some point after they become enemies? It sounds like there's an interesting story there!

Nope. They’ve literally hated each other since they first met and still work together. Me saying that they work amazing as a team in previous posts is not past tense.

Adonis thinks Mal lost her job in a mega corporation, which is why they’re okay with her working with them to take down big companies. They are a mercenary team, with her staying as a netrunner the whole time, and thus able to keep herself out of danger. Sort of.

Mal is secretly still working for the same company. It’s literally her job to make sure Adonis never targets the company she works for, so she’s constantly having to work with Adonis and pretend she doesn’t have her original job anymore in order to do this.

These two come from vastly different worlds. Adonis is a nomad, and Mal is a Corpo rat. These two only met because they both are Netrunners and happened to cross paths in cyberspace. It was not a good first meet.

Their shared friend is the reason they became a team in the first place. Mal, Adonis, and two other formed a band and played together for years. At least until Adonis decided that the final music gig would be a distraction so they could bomb a corporation that they have actual beef with. The company Mal works for is not that company (she got lucky there). Mal is also the only reason Adonis managed to have access to any bombs at all.

Fourth band member didn’t make it. Third member, another nomad named Rick who is a friend of Adonis, left the band but occasionally offered help when Mal, Adonis and Jackie (the NPC from the game this story is supposed to be part of) started to work together as mercenaries. Mal never makes a physical appearance to anyone except Jackie. He’s the reason Mal and Adonis became part a band in the first place. He’s been friends with her for a while before meeting Adonis, and he met them during a smuggling job that they were hired to help with.

Still haven’t figured out how I want Adonis and Mal to meet outside of cyberspace.

But, tldr, these two have a long history and a complicated relationship that can be boiled down to “I hate you, you hate me, we have shared friends and goals. Let’s do things we both enjoy that otherwise would only work between friends and lovers, and still hate each other.”

So I repeat: anything kink related between Mal and Adonis is on the same level as hate fucking. Which is okay because I love that kind of stuff and am a sucker for it.
