Sam, if I adopted you for 24 hours, I'm rather certain I'd more or less do the same thing as we've been doing. Talking, attempting to get you to relax (and possibly being able to actually get that to happen for once), and a few other things. I'd probably end up trying to switch your focus through telling you about /my/ travels with the Doctor instead of just listening to your stories... Unless you wanted to talk about them. I'll always listen to you even without adopting you, just as a reminder.
You know, even without the adoption thing, I'd like to hear those stories. I'd like to hear what you've done too. From the Doctor as well. I may be teaching you some things about here, but I know nothing about aliens or what you've seen outside the Doctor.
If I adopted your muse, I would take him out a sunny day. We'd take a walk around the park and maybe get on the swings. I would then rent us both bicycles and we'd circle around the park. After, I would buy him some ice cream. We'd eat it on the way to an amusement park. We'd get on all the rides over and over again until we're both dizzy. Then we'd go to cafe shop where we'd get salad and bottled water. Finally, we would walk home and sit on the porch with beers our hands looking at the stars.
Sounds almost exactly like what Dean and me would do when we were kids and on a joy day. Those days when we had money, and dad wasn't around. *gives a weak laugh* It'd be nostalgic, that's for sure, but I can't say it'd be bad for me. Thank you.
"If I adopted either of you for 24 hours, I expect I'd like to tell you stories (but of course, only if you'd like to hear them. I'm afraid most adults are hardly interested in stories), I'd bake us a lovely cake for us to have with tea, and just to hope that things don't get too dull, I could show you around London. We have a rather magnificent bookseller just up the street, but if you don't like stories I expect... there are fantastic restaurants as well and you can buy trinkets, too."
Your last name really does fit you, you know. I'd enjoy the stories, especially some of the lore, so I'd be happy to go to the book store with you, Wendy. Even without you having to adopt me. You can show me a few of your favorite books, and if you visit my time, I can actually get you some.
