Please don’t tell me you would if you lived closer. Nearly every place I’ve traveled has shelters and/or rescues in different states, cities, and countries… Not one of them I’ve visited would turn down interested, intelligent, dedicated, caring volunteers. To volunteer for the city of Los Angeles go to… https://www.laanimalservices.com/volunteer/ (If you agree, SHARE THIS! Put your own web local shelter/rescue’s link in.) Just 2 hours a week from 5 people… Can potentially make a huge difference to 100 animals over the course of a year. Yes, it’s sort of a pain in the butt. Yes there can be bureaucracy and things you or I may not always agree with. Yes, it may be challenging for all sorts of reasons. But that doesn’t change that the animals still need help, assistance, guidance, trust, live, affection, structure, exercise… People can volunteer with canine, feline, rabbits, livestock, reptiles, gerbils, probably even marsupials in various places… There are literally dozens of things that could be done inside the shelter, and outside the shelter… laundry, bookkeeping, programming, networking, social media, public awareness, animal husbandry, cleaning, teaching, fundraising, maintenance… One of the biggest is spreading messages to keep animals out of shelters. Spay and neuter. Microchip. Collaring. Making lifetime commitments and honoring them. I would love to see all shelters empty. And I would gladly move on to volunteering somewhere else. #Volunteer #Volunteering #AdoptDon’tShop #Rescue #Shelter #Animal #Dog #Cat #Horse #LoveDogs #Dogs #Cats #catsofinstagram #dogsofinstagram #dogstagram #bunny #bunniesofinstagram #rabbit #hamster #loveanimals #puppy #kitten #live #love If you agree, SHARE THIS!
