why do you think once upon a time deals shoddily with adoption? Are you an adoptee yourself?
Yes I am! I just think that it seems to constantly narratively (when not outright) vilify the relationship between adoptive relationships as opposed to birth relationships- it consistently holds the birth relationship as 'better' or more real than adoptive ones.
