Every year I keep getting more and more fascinated with soccer, and I think I finally turned a corner in following the sport. 🏈 ➡️ ⚽️ ⠀ ⠀ If you kept up with the World Cup at all this past summer, then you most likely heard the story behind Iceland’s team. Having visited there last fall, I fell in love with the country and hearing about this small team competing on the world stage was a true underdog story. Not having a team to root for, I was totally on board to #adopticeland. 🇮🇸 ⠀ ⠀ They didn’t make it far, but getting there at all was an achievement in itself. From the #thunderclap to every amazing save by Halldorsson (including the one against Messi for the tie against Argentina), I was riveted from start to finish. 🥁 👏 ⚽️ ⠀ ⠀ They may not have won the cup, but they won a fan (and I’m sure many others) for life. So yeah, when @einstok came out with a soccer themed beer jersey? Well I just had to get one!
