Walking into the door of the sanctuary comes a girl with a Corny around her neck.
"Hi, there" she said "We talked earlier, and I was hoping to adopt one of your bittys, Banana?
Valerie is, understandably, nervous. This will be the first official adoption from her sanctuary and she wants to make sure it goes well.
The initial inquiry had been met with excitement. Someone was interested in one of their lamia! And it was the sweetheart she'd dubbed Banana, a Papython from rather unfortunate circumstances, who was being asked after. The more the potential adopter asked the more excited Valerie had become until she had read the fateful message.
Thus started the flurry of activity at the sanctuary. She had to alert everyone that a human was coming, giving them the chance to escape if they wanted so they wouldn't be seen, and had quickly alerted Banana to what the potential adopter told her. Banana could call it off at any time, as was his right, and she made sure to let him know that he could hide if he felt overwhelmed.
He wouldn't have it, insisting that he would be fine so long as she was there to watch for any signs that wouldn't make for a good home.
"Hi!" Val beamed, standing with all of the nervous energy she couldn't contain. "Yep, I have him right here!"
Banana is perched upon her shoulder, holding onto some of her hair. He is dressed similarly to his photo, pale cream sweater and a red-orange infinity scarf of the correct size. His tangerine gaze is drawn to the Corny, an appropriate amount of wariness mixing with interest.
"HELLO!" Banana shouted, ducking into his scarf. He's nervous when faced with the pristine appearance of the Corny. Banana is scarred, blind in one eye, and such a pale coloration that he cannot help feeling very fragile. "I'm Banana... I would like to meet your Corny, if possible. On the shelf... please?"
