i’m from here but only returned here like two years ago lmao. it’s questionably accessible, or accessible on the best weather days if you’re reasonably athletic because nothing’s paved. it was a mud pit when we last went in 2017. my wife also uses a wheelchair some of the time but we’re planning on leaving it behind and relying on a cane + frequent breaks + praying for the best. they have scooters available to rent but they’re both very expensive and overly optimistic in my opinion. hopefully it’s something they’ll work on at the new site

Have you considered an IUD? I got one to stop my periods because they were so bad, and it’s been helping

i have imbalanced hormones so i need the pill for more than just period stuff. i tried to talk about options last time but it did not go very well, i’ll have to try again this year and see if theres something that can be done. honestly i might just. try to find another doctor because the one i have now isnt informing me of all my options and im not into that

im doing a lot better than i was earlier! i went out for a bit and that helped, and ive also just gotten so much kindness and reassurence today, its been a blessing honestly

Can you perhaps explain how a service dog would help you? Also, if you’d like, I can recommend some organizations to you that give dogs for free. One has a two-year waiting list, so you could start now and then when you’re ready to move out, receive them :0)

there’s honestly an endless list of tasks i could benefit from, but the biggest one is deep pressure therapy or the dog providing proprioceptive input during sensory overload or panic attacks. other things would be getting help when i faint or have an allergic reaction, guiding me to safety while in dissociative states, helping me pick things up since bending over makes me very dizzy, and thats not even touching on the emotional benefits that i desperately need.

i’ve done a great deal of investigation and i do not qualify for free dogs. additionally many of the places that give away the dogs specialize in tasks for a single condition and the tasks i need cover several conditions. also the big problem is the few places that i sort of almost qualify for only use labs or retrievers and i have very bad pet allergies, which is why i need a poodle.

lastly, obtaining a dog is not the problem so much as my current living situations does not allow me to have an animal (and before people write in saying its different for service dogs, i live with my parents and my father will not allow a dog in our home ever again, this is not an issue of law but rather a guardians rule).

Do you use finger splints for drawing? They help me write with less pain

no, but sometimes i use a wrist brace. ive never tried anything for my fingers. i might look into it though
