it’s been weeks since the night they spent together around christmas, weeks since they shared their first kiss, and weeks since adorea really...spoke to reid, let alone saw him in person. she’s kept their conversations short and far in between out of her own anxiety and fear. of course she enjoyed that night -- reid was, in so many ways, different from any man she’s met but...she couldn’t shake the fear of losing him. she didn’t want to ruin what they already had.
adorea worked up the courage to see him today, not that she really let him know that. she stood outside his work, looking through the window as he helped a customer finish a sale. for a moment, she panics, turning her back to the door and gripping the small plates of fruits she held to her chest. “c’mon adorea... you’re a daughter of aphrodite, no man has ever made you this nervous...” finally, taking in a deep breath, she turns again and enters the shop, letting the ding of the bell announce her arrival.
