his whole demeanor shifts in front of your eyes. his hair deflates and the brightness in his eyes visibly dims as he attempts to understand what you just told him. he asks you “what?” because he truly cannot comprehend what you just said. there’s simply no way that either of you would do that to him. but here you are, in front of him with tears in your eyes, begging for his forgiveness. bokuto wants to reach out and comfort you because he hates seeing you sad, but how could you hurt him? when you leave later and he goes through an “emo mode,” he thinks about how he’s lost the only two people who could cheer him up.
— KOZUME KENMA
he’s detached and aloof when you confess that you cheated on him with kuroo. he’s always had an inkling in the back of his mind that it could happen. kuroo’s the better of the two of them, more extroverted, more easy to get along with, more charming. it’s a wonder that you chose to be with kenma instead of kuroo in the first place. you’re droning on and on about how you’re sorry, why are you still here? why haven’t you left yet? he wants to be alone now. he wants to get the sound of your voice out of his head. perhaps he can drown it with the noise of video games.
— MIYA OSAMU
shocked. he’s completely blindsided when you confess. didn’t even know you and suna were close. he listens to you ramble excuses before he’s out the door. goes to atsumu’s apartment, who’s surprised to see him, but lets him in when he sees the look on osamu’s face. he situates himself in the kitchen, pulling ingredients out of atsumu’s bare fridge to make him some onigiri because he needs something to cling onto. wants the normalcy of making his shitty brother something to eat before it all comes spilling out.
— NISHINOYA YUU
he laughs. tells you that you got him good with this prank of yours. his laughter dies down when you don’t respond and he sees the solemn expression on your face. asks where your phone is since you’re recording this, right? this isn’t very funny now, babe. once he realizes you’re being serious, he’s asking a flurry of questions. when? why? for how long? did it mean anything? he wants, no needs, to know. when he’s done, he walks out the door. nishinoya can’t stand staying still, can’t stand being in the same room as you.
— SAWAMURA DAICHI
daichi’s expression hardens the moment that the words leave your lips. he listens to your explanation and he can tell that you’re sincerely apologetic for what you’ve done. once you’re done speaking, he thanks you for telling him, but asks for you to leave now so he can think. daichi doesn’t cry. instead, he sits down at the table in his apartment with his head in his hands and thinks. he thinks about where he went wrong for this to have occurred. did he neglect you? was he too overbearing? what did he do?
— TSUKISHIMA KEI
he doesn’t allow you to explain yourself. he’ll cut you off as soon as you attempt to and tell you to shut up. the more you try, the more he gets annoyed and the louder his voice gets. why can’t you just shut up? god, why did he ever fucking waste his time on you? sneers and tells you to get the fuck out of his home and to never come back. when you finally slam the door shut behind you, angry tears bead at the corner of his eyes. his glasses fall to the ground and shatter. this is why tsukishima doesn’t let others into his heart.
