it wasn’t long before her second saber entered combat. with each strike, parry and block, lexa believed this warrior might be her most formidable opponent yet. the resistance would not be pleased to know that the knights were more than just kylo’s pack dogs, running about the galaxy doing the groundwork for him and their supreme leader. if the other’s were as trained and agile as echo, it would be most unfortunate for them to turn up now and outnumber her. “ you know that’s not what i meant! “ response came through gritted teeth, and she swung low with her blue saber while keeping her green in a defensive position. “ how long will you play your masters’ games before ending them? doesn’t seem very dark side of you. “ if the knight did not rise up, they would be discarded by their very mentor, cast aside as if they were NOTHING.

so   many   jedi   lost   today  ;      so   many   jedi   come   to   save   him.      obi - wan   wonders   if   echo   had   known   of   their   master’s   dealings   with   the   kaminoans  ,    the   plot   that   had   led   him   to   geonosis   and   to   dooku      --      and   at   once  ,    he   pushes   the   thought   away.      it   is   a   question   for   the   morning  ,    for   the   council.      tonight   they   are   all   battered   and   bleeding  ,    and   his   padawan   lies   one   room   away   in   a   healing   trance.      

“      have   you   been   seen   by   the   healers   yet?      ”        he   hasn’t.      he   still   clutches   awkwardly   at   his   wounded   shoulder  ,    robes   blackened   and   singed  ,    and   he   won’t  ,    not   until   he’s   permitted   to   see   anakin.        “      master   vokara   che   will   be   back   shortly.      ”

He pauses just then, her words drifting over him for a moment longer as he allows a small smirk to shift over his worn features. "We did promise to see each other again." Even if it hadn't been in the same sense as what he was letting on. They were an interesting being in his eyes. The Force that pulsed around them. There was pull toward them, one that Bellamy hadn't felt with anyone else before. Even his own sister wasn't that strong in the Force. Though, to be fair, he hadn't been stalking her or anything of the sort. In fact, a messenger droid had led him to this point. A holocron lurked somewhere upon this planet's surface and he was determined to find it. After all, the history of the Jedi ran long and deep in most planet's cores and he wanted to discover it all, knowing the dark side was following him with a beautiful human at his side now. "Trust me, I'm rather skilled in those ways than actually following someone." He pauses, laughing a little just then. "If we're on even ground right now, why not get a drink with me?"

“      you   have   friends   here  ,    okay?      ”       twisting   her   long   braid   round   and   round   her   finger  ,    harper’s   gaze   flits   from   echo   to   a   point   just   above   her   shoulder.       “      i   know   you   think   you’re   alone  ,    but  ...      this   isn’t   going   to   work   if   we   all   think   that   way.      ”

her eyes wince as a silent sharp intake of air into her lungs is stopped short in her throat; it feels like a static shock from that stalling point that then rushes out through her bloodstream and spikes it with invigoration. it feels like echo has pulled thoughts from her own mind and spread them out neatly on the table; luna’s hands froze over the few dishes she was sorting to small shelves and narrow cabinets; her head turns quickly to find the other’s eyes. swallowing wasn’t enough to take away the sting the trapped breath had created, though she tries to soothe it a few times. her pulse is only beating at a faster pace and threatening to make the next breath lock there too, and the next. 

ever since they’d truly met, ever since echo had come to be more in her life than anyone else, her heart had started building the walls of a home up around the moments they spent together; luna’s eyes prickled, realizing, that yes...being with echo felt like being home, that unknowingly...she had been trying to shelter, to covet their time. before doubt or hesitation could reach her she moved closer to echo now, placing her lips on theirs, her hand claiming echo’s cheek to stay right there.
