it’s…  odd,  to  process  a  loss  of  this  magnitude.   echo  had  always  been  excellent  at  detachment,  capable  of  separating  their  thoughts  &  feelings  from  their  duty  with  ease.   but  it  doesn’t  feel  good,  the  strange  mixture  of  grief  &  necessary  acceptance  that  lingered  in  the  air  around  them.   over  two  hundred  jedi  had  come;  nearly  two  hundred  jedi  had  died.   a  numb  acceptance,  a  layer  of  shock  minimizing  their  own  reaction.   for  now,  it  was  better  that  way.

“you  look  like  you  need  them  more  than  i  do.   with  good  reason,”  they  observed.   her  right  leg  was  wrapped  to  stop  the  bleeding,  tolerable  without  any  weight  on  it.   they  shifted  with  the  slightest  wince,  turning  toward  him.   “your  padawan,”  the  chosen  one,  everyone  knew  of  him,   “is  he  going  to  be  alright?”

“      i   only   need   a   bacta   patch   or   two  ,    and   i’ll   be   fine.      there   are   others   with   more   pressing   injuries.      ”        it’s   true   that   the   saber   wounds   burn   and   throb  ,    but   they   can   wait      --      at   least   until   he’s   laid   eyes   on   anakin.        “      anakin   is   in   a   healing   trance.      he’s      --      he’s   lost   an   arm   to   dooku  ,    but   they’re   already   in   the   process   of   having   a   prosthetic   made.      he’ll   be   alright.      ”

obi - wan   wakes   to   the   knowledge   that   he   is   being   watched.      there   are   eyes   on   him  ,    but   the   force   is   quiet  ,    morning   sun   warm   against   his   skin  ,    and   so   there   is   no   worry.      these   days  ,    it’s   rare   that   he   gets   to   indulge   in   such   contented   relaxion.      he   stretches   languidly   in   silken   sheets  ,    shifting   onto   his   side  ,    and   when   he   lazily   cracks   an   eye  ,    it   is   to   serena’s   lovely   features  ,    flaxen   curls   fanning   across   the   pillow   to   tickle   his   cheek  ,    gaze   inexplicably   soft.       the   corner   of   obi - wan’s   mouth   lifts   as   he   reaches   out   to   brush   a   curl   from   her   face  ,    voice   still   sleep  -  rough   when   he   speaks.        “      hello  ,    my   dear.      have   i   got   drool   on   my   face?      ”

update!  my blogs are now going to have a weekends away rule and will be even more queue - based than they already are.    there will be no activity on weekends, including queued posts.    my multi queue will now be posting replies only on monday ,  wednesday ,  and friday.    my solo blogs will be posting replies on tuesday and thursday.    i also probably won’t be posting any replies live anymore ,  bc even though i get excited about posting them ,  it’s a big reason my drafts pile up so fast !!  my work schedule  +  the anxiety about drafts piling up are killing my will to be on here and it’s started to feel like a job again lmao.  anyways this isn’t a big deal or anything ,  just an update on where my blogs are at !!  i’m trying to come back from that little impromptu hiatus and struggling with the drive to do it so hopefully this’ll help me out.    can you guys please like this to let me know you’ve seen it?    <3

                 It stings a little. He doesn’t think Obi-Wan means for it to, but Leoth hears a reprimand nonetheless. So many have lost their way of life to the Empire. Leoth is not special or alone in that regard. He has kept himself in solitude for long enough. Leoth watches the Jedi for a moment, hesitating in his decision, before following him down the alleyway. 

                            “…I am relieved to see you alive, Kenobi,” Leoth says, pulling his own thoughts away from his obsessive mission. Focus on the present. “When we had heard, I had initially hoped to help the Order. Despite the threat of the regime change. I had hoped I could return the favor for your assistance during the war.”

@libertydestined  :        night   terror.      to   hold   obi - wan   after   he   wakes   up   from   a   nightmare.

the   dreams   aren’t   uncommon   after   zigoola.      dreams   of   his   own   lightsaber   at   bail   organa’s   throat      --      a   desecrated   temple   looming   across   the   wasteland.        bail  ,    dead   at   obi - wan’s   hands.      reaching  ,    reaching  ,    reaching   for   the   hum   of   the   force   and   never   finding   it.      die  ,    jedi  ,    die  ,    die  ,    jedi  ,    die.

he   wakes   choking   on   air  ,    a   hand   at   his   shoulder   and   another   in   his   hair  ,    evidently   trying   to   soothe.      his   eyes   fly   open  ,    expecting   bail’s   face   above   him   and   finding   padme’s      --      and   after   a   few   heartbeats   of   bewildered   disorientation  ,    reality   sets   back   in.      not   zigoola.      not   bail.      he   is   on   a   transport   with   anakin   and   padme  ,    here   to   act   as   her   guard.

as   he   lies   blinking  ,    gathering   his   bearings  ,    breathing   settling   back   into   some   semblance   of   normal  ,    he   feels   padme   begin   to   draw   him   in   closer  ,    resting   her   cheek   atop   his   hair  ,    and   it   is   then   that   he   finds   his   voice  ,    a   flush   creeping   up   his   neck.

i think i’m going to take a writing / tumblr break this week !!  i’m on my second day off and i don’t have any drive to write / i’m not gonna push it this time.  my queue will still be going on all my blogs  ( bellamy is the only one that doesn’t have writing in his, but i’ll still be posting )  but i’m gonna try and stay off the dash!!  have a good week besties !!
