Roman: I’m just saying that the plan was genuinely dumb, as many of our plans are, I now realize.

Cedric: What about your whole speech about “I have the grace of a falcon, and I’ll be in and out like a demon’s whisper”?

AJ: Dude, you stood up on your chair and said that speech for everybody.

Roman: It was a damn good speech. It was persuasive, but I regret it now.

AJ’s life before the bomb was peaceful. As the only son of the current mayor in Sole City, he was raised with the hopes of taking that title.

After the bomb was dropped, AJ took all the money he could pocket and fled to the valley to help the people there. He went into hiding.

While assisting in the valley he became convinced that Sole City was responsible for the bombing. He became furious and began speaking with Roman about fighting against the corruption of that city.

AJ is the second leader of the gang. The concept of the group rising from the ashes of the destroyed city stronger than ever was his. He also often comes up with the plans and occasionally assists in writing the speeches.

Connections:

Roman Quinn- AJ met Roman while he was attending a city meeting with his father. Roman shared his opinions and AJ agreed with a lot of his viewpoints. They caught up after the meeting and became fast friends.

Jacen Grant- Ace is someone that AJ has absolute trust in. He appreciates Ace’s cautiousness, since Roman seems to have none, and is often seen trying to convince Roman to go along with what Ace says to do.

Archer Valentine- The pair mix like oil and water. For the most part, they steer clear of the other. Typically their interactions end in some sort of verbal fight ending with AJ trying not to escalate the situation and Archer storming out. Although it hasn’t lead to anything physical yet, AJ typically prefers to not be alone with him.

Reimi Araki- He and Reimi went to the same high school. She was known around the campus for being cute and smart, but having an extremely odd personality. AJ talked to her enough to learn about her skill with computers, but one day she simply stopped showing up and he didn’t see her until she was brought to the hideout. They tend to have a playful and teasing friendship.

Nora Tremblay- AJ is one of the few members who isn’t particularly freaked out by Nora. He mouths off to her whenever he hears her say something he thinks is ridiculous and she seems to enjoy picking on him and freaking him out, which he takes in stride.

Christian Miller- Christian and AJ met a couple of times at city events. Seeing Christian depressed and basically a pariah when he used to be such a respectable; hardworking detective crushes him and it just serves to prove that good people can’t live in that corrupt city and changes need to be made. He often drinks and talks to Christian whenever he makes his way into the valley.
