It’s natural the way their eye finds Isaac from across the room. Without effort, without trying, Bowie finds him. They always do. And they have no doubt they always will. It doesn’t matter if they’re both lifetimes, miles, feet apart- as they are now, they find each other, because it’s what they’re meant for. What the two of them have is an otherworldly magnetism, even if this thing they had is a thing of the past. Endings, however, don’t always mean the end of everything. No, they aren’t a couple anymore. Yes, the capacity in which they interact with one another is a lot different from what it used to be. But the natural way the Universe pulls them together? There’s no turning that off. There’s no switch to flip to power it down. And so Bowie lives with the fact that as long as they’re near him, they will always subconsciously look for him, and they will always find him. But they snap out of it, immediately turning their attention back to Adrian who sits with them against a wall. A little embarrassed, Bowie shakes their head and lets out a slight, apologetic laugh. “I’m so sorry, baby. What were you sayin’?” They ask with a plastered on smile, turning and giving him their full, undivided attention.
