They blame gamergate for forcing them to side with Gawker, even though they apparently knew Gawker was bad all along. Doesn't make any damn sense, I know, but that's their rationalization. The reality is Gawker was using them all along, pandering to them and attacking GamerGate to distract everyone from their own ethical violations. They are puppets for Gawker and the like and always have been, but the aGG who realize this would rather continue being puppets than admit they were used.
