Another way to "fix" Peacock Miraculous, is just to throw away that whole "emotion" stuff, and make Peacock Miraculous ability to be just "you can have your own personal and custom-made 'weird monster'. Have fun."

Peacock!Marinette wants to have "horse-sized black cat with personality of Chat Noir"? She can.

Peacock!Chloe wants to have "Mr Cuddly as (essentially) Care Bear"? She can

ShadowMoth wants to have Moth-Scorpion hybrid that will serve as his mount, for sake of "aura farming"? He can

I mean, that's basically what the peacock is. The only sentimonster with a clear tie to Emotions was Feast and that's only if you consider hunger an emotion. If Emilie can make... whatever the hell she made and have that creation grow into a human with a full range of emotions, then the power has no limits. The peacock is god. It'll be interesting to see how Felix is used because of this issue. Is he going to come across as incompetent or is he just not going to get to be on screen much? Only time will tell! My bet is that he just won't show up much since he's an insta-win card. Just have Felix make a senti that senses miraculous or akumas and let it track down Lila. Or a senti that senses akumas, teleports to them, and captures them before they infect anything. Problem solved! Day saved!

Personally, I'm not satisfied with them making Felix and Kagami a couple. Aside from my own dislike of Felix and him getting redeemed, I feel like the ship feels kinda forced to me. Sure, both are sentimonsters and have a bad family life, but it doesn't make me feel like these two would be a good couple.

If it turned out that Bunnyx isn't "Hero from the Future" that she claims to be, and Timetagger was sent by Future!LadyFly to stop her.

This way we could have "plot twist" of Ladybug & Chat Noir working with Akumatized Villain to stop "Rogue" Miraculous Holder

I don't think that would work because of the way Timetagger ended:

But I do think there's a version that could work.

In the reblogs of that initial post, a couple people mentioned the idea of there being an evil Bunnyx and a good Bunnyx with the evil Bunnyx being the new main villain. My gut reaction was "it's too late for that, it would feel forced to bring it in this late in the game." I stand by that reaction, but I followed it by asking, "okay, when was the point of no return? The moment where this went from workable to off the table?" To my surprise, the answer I came up with really wasn't that far in the past.

I think the evil Bunnyx idea would have worked if it was the focus of the London special. That special was already time-travel focused, it just kept Bunnyx as a purely good character. It also once again spat in the face of the nonsense rules that canon gave us in season five:

Gabriel: There! (to Orikko) You! You can grant me any power I want! (closes the Grimoire and walks toward Orikko) You will give me the power to travel through time! Orikko: No, you're mistaken! Time travel is Fluff's power and I can't grant the power that already belongs to another Kwami! Gabriel: Are you trying to deceive me?? Orikko: (nods) By all means! Read the Grimoire again!

Hey, writers, if these are the rules THEN HOW DID LILA GET A TIME TRAVEL POWER?????? Do these rules not apply to the butterfly? If not then why not? At least Timetagger had the excuse of coming two seasons before they decided on this lore so it was just your standard retcon. This is all within the same season which is just sloppy. Please stop trying to explain your lore. It never makes sense.

It would make way more sense if the London special revealed that Lila was working with an evil rabbit holder - who need not be Bunnyx btw - and the special was about Ladybug and Alix fighting that evil rabbit holder who was trying to get info to Lila. It would even explain the weird phenomena we got at the end of season five. That scene where something appears behind Lila and frightens her. I don't think that ever got explained? That's on-brand for Miraculous, but is still not good writing.

If you show the audience something and then do nothing with it, you're not building tension. You're making sure that your audience will forget about it and then be confused when you bring it back. The lights behind Lila in the final should have had at least a hint at a payoff by now. They would have been a perfect thing to payoff in the London special.

If the evil rabbit got away during the special, then that would explain why Alix was stuck in the burrow while also giving her fans something to make her loss more palatable. She's not just stuck in the burrow, she's off fighting a time war! It would also take time travel off the table moving forward which would be a major blessing as this show sucks at time travel plots. They're some of the hardest plots to write!

I'd even go so far as to say that the London special should have been all about Alix without involving Ladybug in the time war. That would let Alix learn things while Ladybug stayed in the dark. As is, it's a little weird that Alix didn't learn the new butterfly's identity when she knows everything else. Plus, if you're going to write Alix out of the show, then at least give her a proper sendoff!

Oh, 100%. The "problem" with that episode is that Ladybug and co decided to actually play soccer instead of going with the obvious plan: capture the clone squad, tie them up, then shoot goals until time runs out. You could also just use the horse to shoot infinite goals from a distance or use the horse to make portals under the various clones to send them away, thereby clearing the field. I would have loved it if they'd done that! Portal comedy never gets old and this episode could have been a gold mine!

In spite of that, I'd still say that the soccer game wasn't a flaw if the episode was about showing off the teamwork that the team had developed over the course of the series because that's a good thing to show off right before the final. That's not what the episode is about, though. It's the debut episode of four heroes and Chat Noir spends most of it in a bubble which is just lame! Every temp hero deserves their own intro and Chat Noir shouldn't be made fun of and left out in the teamwork episode, especially given the season's supposed themes.

You can tell that the episode only exists because they wanted every teen assigned to a miraculous before the miraculous were all taken away. That way every miraculous could have full-time assignment in the grand finale even if the assignment in question did nothing to earn it. Really sold Ivan, Sabrina, Marc, and Nathaniel short. They deserved better than a speed run intro where they each got about a minute of focus time.

I know this only happened because season four was written when season five was the grand finale so this fix wouldn't have worked, but in an ideal world, they would have saved some miraculous for season six and assigned them then. Like it's super weird how Sabrina has her lackluster redemption episodes after she's been given a miraculous. Daddy Cop should have seen her earn her place not whatever that episode was trying to do.

...I wonder if this is why those four have all gotten spotlight episodes in season six? Trying to make up for how bad Penelteam was as a hero intro?

Btw about "proper team dynamics".

Instead of making whole episode (that breaka it's own Aesop) about "Ladybug needing to learn to be a proper teamworker" ("PenalTeam"), all ML Animators needed to do, is to add minute-long (or so) scene of Marinette going "Miraculous Team of Multimice" (like she did in "Kwamibuster") and failing, due to being too weakened by making several Unifications at once. It obviously ends with Marinette deciding that "she can't work alone", and to call Temporary Holders.

That would have been a much less confusing way to do it! Though you mentioning Multimouse does make me think about how all over the place Miraculous is when it comes to needing a team vs not needing one:

When Tikki and Plagg are captured in Kwamibuster, Marinette fights alone and wins

The show makes a big deal about Rena Furtive being a thing but Alya's new role doesn't really lead to anything. It just kind of fizzles.

When Penalteam happens, Marinette gets a speech about needing to trust others

During the season four final, giving Felix the dog costs her everything and makes no sense because she could have done that on her own as a Bunny-Dog-Ladybug combo

Season five starts with her trusting Chat Noir with the rabbit and makes a big deal of this being a good change, but it fizzles to nothing within an episode

When the big Gabriel showdown happens, Marinette fights alone and it's not treated as a bad thing

I have no idea what the overall message is supposed to be if there even is supposed to be one. It certainly doesn't feel like it!

I spotted interesting thing:

When people post analyses of "Chat Blanc" and its aftermarth, most usually Bunnyx isn't mentioned even once.

This is rather ironic, given that Bunnyx is one of three most important characters of the episode (alongside Ladybug & Chat Blanc)

Also, one thing. Marinette salters like to claim that "Ladybug wasn't traumatized by Chat Blanc". They're somewhat right... and completely wrong.

That's because Ladybug wasn't traumatized by Chat Blanc himself (since he is "Adrien from Alternate universe", there is no connection between them), but by what Bunnyx told to her afterwards.

Like, she could mention True reason why Chat Blanc was Akumatized or not, and just say "Thanks for the help, Ladybug", and each of them would go separate ways. Instead, she decided to straight-up lie, and say "Your love caused this", which caused Marinette to take this personally and believe that she was one responsible.

This resulted in awful situation, where Marinette "protects the World" from danger that don't exist and will never appear... except Bunnyx herself (because among information that Marinette hides from everyone, is information that Bunnyx exists at all)

I completely agree. It's one of my many issues with the episode. This dialogue was terrible!

Bunnyx: Do you know how Cat Noir found out about your secret identity? Ladybug: I think so. When I went into Adrien's house as Ladybug, he probably saw me. He figured out that Ladybug is Marinette because of the note written on the gift. But I'm not sure what happened next. Bunnyx: He probably told his friend Nino, who told Alya, who wrote about it on the Ladyblog. Ladybug: Mm.. They would never do that. But Adrien probably told someone, who told someone else, and so on, until it was all over the news! The best-kept secrets are the ones you never share.

In a better show, Bunnyx would have told Marinette that this was all just a matter of poor timing, reassuring Marinette that she doesn't need to be terrified of identity reveals. She just needs to be smart about them.

But we can't have that because that would give Marinette a reason to be more open with Chat Noir and the show has a rule that Marinette and Adrien must always have a secret between them so everything will be written to keep their relationship surface level no matter how much it poisons the show.
