Somehow, I have been sitting on this picture for 3 years or maybe I posted it and tagged it badly so I canna find it.
On the left is Special Agent of the Crown Katherine, a shapeshifting water elementalist. In the middle foreground is her lover, Princess Shiori, daughter of Kanna, of the House of Harad, a sorceress and swordswoman. To my embarrassment, I no longer remember exactly what they are facing here or where.

Amber Conventions
Of the four major Ambercon's that I know of the next one is Ambercon US, it's coming in March and there is still time to register, submit games, and join us in the fun.
It's a great time whether you like Amber specifically or just fun, geeky, role playing. The system is easy to learn and there are lots of people willing to help you get the hang of it.
