Mio had forgotten how perceptive Sanageyama was rumored to be. Seems they were true.

“...You really didn’t need to.” She replied hesitantly, politeness unable to hide noticeable anxiety, “Not that I doubt their moral integrity. It’s just no decent shop owner would feel comfortable leaving strangers alone in their establishment...”

If something does happen to her precious shop, she’ll damn-well wring their necks. Still, her former Superior was their ‘Boss’ and she tried to find comfort with this knowledge. But a bunch of obvious gang members hanging out in a flower shop? Oh, they must’ve stuck out like bulls in a china shop. (Good thing she put up an ‘Out to Lunch’ sign...) 

Regardless of all these worries, however, Hanami did trust Sanageyama. Though she never got a chance to know the former Athletic Leader that personally, she still held respect and admiration for all he had done as a Elite Four member.

“Still... Whatever you need to discuss must be important if you’re going to such great lengths of protection. Which is kind of you.” She admitted, head tilting curiously to look over him as they walked down the street, “I’m surprised to see you, after all this time... What did you wish to talk about, Sanageyama?”
