other observations from brief early Vamdemon arc rewatch:

- Yamato went to “Dai-yon Elementary School”

- Jou was just starting summer school (i.e. studying for exams) the next day
- this is obvious if you know how the Japanese school system works but yeah
- he states it himself here too
- Jou got a 54 on his test
- at the beginning of the Tokyo Tower ep Taichi pulls open a drawer in his room
- you can see an old / recent-ish TEST PAPER in there
- IT HAS A “30″ MARK ON IT

TAICHI GETS BETTER BY THE END OF TRI OBVIOUSLY GRADES-WISE
AND MATURITY WISE LONG BEFORE THAT TOO BUT YEAH
also there’s a scene near the start of Tokyo Tower ep too where they’re riding the train and seeing the damage done from Koushiro’s previous fight vs Raremon and Taichi’s all “EEEHHHH.....
SO THAT MESS IS FROM YOUR [KOUSHIRO’S] FIGHT LAST NIGHT ...”
it’s a super quick moment and probably wasn’t meant to imply much more than a briefly tense for plot tone but yeah LOOKS POINTEDLY AT TRI!TAICHI
ALSO in episode 34 Taichi talks with Jou on the phone about searching for the phone books to find the 8th child
