Pictures from the Heap's Peak Arboretum! Dad had to work that day so it was just Mom and I, but I sat very nicely so she could get some pictures of me. There are none of me in the backpack because I walked almost the whole way.* This place is really pretty and the path is only about a mile, but I took the first half as fast as my little legs could go! M kept wanting to stop and read signs, but there was no time for that when there were trees to be sniffed. Come on Mom, faster! Then I almost tired out, but there were people ahead that I just *had* to sniff. Usually strange people mean pats for a little dog. Somehow we didn't catch up with them until the very end of the walk, but I got my pats from the older ones. There was one tiny human who only wanted to admire me from afar, even though I gave him my best toothy smile! I think my fearsome demeanor intimidated him, even though I'm little too I'm one tough doggie. *There were a couple of sunny patches I didn't like, so Mom had to carry me for a few yards, but then I walked like a big boy again. I need some boots for sunny patches on hot days, but at least in the meantime my parents listen when I tell them it's too darn hot to walk there
