Daily Reflection #52 Queenstown NZ

Positives: Art stalls showcasing beautiful pottery, jewelry and clocks (made out of beer bottles!) at the market along the Queenstown lakefront, playing 18 holes of frisbee golf (guess who won by a mile) in the Queenstown Botanical Gardens, watching bungy jumpers go off the historic Kawarau bridge, walking around Lake Hayes and checking out the neighboring gold-mining Arrowtown Challenges: our amazing selfie stick, affectionately nicknamed ‘Miss S’ was in need of repair… Many businesses, including a winery and cheesery we stopped by, were closed due to Good Friday. There is also a holiday surcharge at most restaurants Best Meal: we ate at a local spaghetti/pizza joint called ‘Cows.’ They had community seating so we met two traveling couples from Melbourne and shared traveling stories and tips over delicious drinks, pasta, salad and pizza 🍕🍝 Fact of the Day: the frisbee golf course in Queenstown was the first established in New Zealand and is a free activity for locals and visitors…that being said the city has more than 100 times its local resident population of visitors every year Things that made us 😀: watching a girl that was super scared on the edge of the bungy platform finally muster up the courage to jump, people jumping from a rope swing and dock into Lake Hayes brrrrrrrrrrrrr
