So after reading my views on adventure land, I have something to say to my past self
I will say, I am surprised that I in general enjoyed the movie and recognized that the guy was in the wrong for the relationship between the older guy and Kristen Stewart's character.
HOWEVER
I was in college around this time and I was very school brained.
So my epic conclusion is that Jesse Eisenberg's character left his dreams of becoming a journalist or going to school for journalism to have sex .
That is very much not what happened .
He made it to New York, which is where he wanted to be so that he could work a job and make his way to the school he's been let into .
Then he meets Kristen Stewart's character who was already living in New York because that's where she was originally from . And he gave this big speech to her because he knew she would be there as well and.
AND SEX FOLLOWED BECAUSE THEY LOVED EACHOTHER
My fucking goodness out of all the things that I could've fixed on back then that is such a weird thing to do .
But to be completely fair, I was also in denial about being asexual back then and didn't understand why people talked about sex so much in general .
James is a sweetheart who still did some bad things like talking about the affair with emily and connell. But he did apologize for that and for being a little red pilled when he want on the date with the other girl.
Emily was going through a lot of shit and connel manipulated her to be his next side piece. And through that she hid a lot from James which she also shouldnt have done. But in general she apologized
