That’s a tough question. If you wanna know, you just gotta ... learn how to suppress your magic. You can do it, you just gotta practice.It’s a little hard to do at first -- I’m still not all that great at it -- but what I did was just realize that I wasn’t gonna be with the person, so I would try my hardest not to be alluring. Does that make any sense? I feel like it doesn’t make any sense.

When it came to teenagers, Lyla was used to being sassed and having to make phone calls to parents was a common thing. And just like any Saturday evening in one of the hang out spots, Lyla was dispatched to the park for suspicious criminal activity and possible marijuana being smoked.

She pulled into the parking lot, lights flashing but no blade of the sirens. With her car lights left on, she got out the car and whistles to the crowd of teens gathered around the picnic area.

“Alright, party’s over! I want hands in the air where I can see them,” Lyla was nonchalant as she walked up but her hands were in place to draw if necessary. “All hands up now!” She barked again.

16. What do you expect from others when they want to roleplay?

If THEY approach me, then, I would like, idk, some nebulous idea of what they would like to do. I don’t want to take charge of something if the other person was seeking out a certain sort of scene. If I approach you, I want some give and take. Bouncing ideas off of each other.

I also really want people to TELL ME what they ARE AND ARE NOT comfortable with INSTEAD OF JUST DEFRIENDING ME ON DISCORD (squints at camera). I am so chill. Just talk to me. Scared of the amount I write? DON’T BE. Not into a certain pairing? THAT’S COOL. But let’s talk out some other ideas before you run for the hills.

18. What’s the one thing you want to try the most on your blog?

Lord almighty, I don’t know. I’ve done a lot of things with F.J. but I’ve never actively put her in a mxf pairing. Could be interesting to try. I’ve also never played her with someone who was like ‘holy shit veela’ and wrote a 6-act play based on her beauty or something LMAO. It would just be so so so hilarious.

19. Give us a headcanon about your muse that you never shared to anyone else or wanting to explore deeper.

I’m a pretty liberal sharer in the headcanon department. I would like to explore a full relationship, from the very start, and see how it plays out, with a difficult character. F.J. is easy to love, from what I’ve been told, because she’s like, a cute moron who likes to go down on people (dsiofahsoifas). Throw a stiff asshole at her. I would love to see how she tries to win that person’s affection.

21. What is it you prefer: angst, fluff, or smut? Why?

Angst, probably. What’s life without some drama? I’m not AGAINST smut but I also spend a year writing really purple prosey frilly posts when I do it, because I cannot type out words for things without wanting to immediately keysmash for the next paragraph. Fluff is alright, but it gets boring quickly. 

23. What’s the one thing you dislike about the roleplaying community on Tumblr?

See the second half of my answer to 16, lmao. Also, the community I was part of prior to...whatever I’m part of now, was extremely toxic. I will NEVER go back to that.

It was hard to get a Southerner to drink something hot even whenit was cold outside. At least, F.J. was like that. She’d been deeplyconditioned to thrive off of sweet iced tea from the age of two thanks to herDaddy, so when Memphis asked her what she might like to drink, the redhead hadsaid, of course, immediately, iced tea.

To which Mimi insisted it be hot, not iced, because it wasbetter to keep the babies warm. F.J., now far enough along that she hadforgotten what her own feet looked like most days, had squinted at her daughterand attempted to launch into the fact that the stomach and the womb weren’tconnected at all, but gave up because Mimi’s sweet face looked so utterlydetermined to warm her mother up.  

So, she sighed, acquiescing to a cup of hot tea instead oficed tea (had to be tea either way, damn it), and when it was presented to her,she gave her a little smile.

“Thank you darlin’,” she said, reaching out a hand to cupthe fifteen-year-old’s face briefly. “I’ll wait til it gets cold to drink it.”

But regardless, you cannot use magic outside of school and especially not in no-maj places surrounded by no-maj. You can, however, be taught self defense and learn to be precautionary.  1: Why did you start role playing?

Small 12 year old me went on harrypotter.com, found the Harry Potter Dialogue Center, and realized the OC in my head could live and interact with other people via the magic of the internet, so that’s how I started.

2: What made you choose your muse?

My ridiculous love of her face claim. 

3: Is there anything challenging about writing your muse?

Literally nothing. She is perhaps the easiest muse to write for. I would say, though, that I get too excited, start too many threads with her, and then get overwhelmed LOL.

4: Is there anything enjoyable about writing your muse?

EVERYTHING ABOUT FJ IS ENJOYABLE SHE’S A GIFT.

5: What has been your favourite thread?

There are so many, it’s hard to pick! My first meeting threads have been the most fun so far, no matter the verse. 

11: [Canon] Is your character major/minor and did this have any influence in your decision to play them? 

My character is not a canon, but I have played six whole canons in my life: Tom Riddle, Dolores Umbridge, Severus Snape, Fred Weasley, Pius Thicknesse, and Poppy Pomfrey. My decisions to play them were based on whatever I was into RPing at the time. Dolores/Pius came from a Deathly Hallows era RP, Tom Riddle was student era around the time HBP came out, Fred was back 100 years ago and Poppy has been my main go-to canon for several Marauder’s era games. 

In short: idk how to answer this question LMAO

13: [Canon] Did you make any changes to your muses timeline/background? 

For the first five aforementioned canons, I changed nothing -- for Poppy, I played her Marauder’s Era and she would get high off of her own potions stores. Because let’s face it, it was the 70s. 

16: [OC] What gave you the inspiration for your muse? 

FJ is an homage to Reebs. Her first name is a damn Reba McEntire song -- Jolene comes from Dolly Parton’s ‘Jolene’ because I felt like naming my character after a high-class prostitute and a man thief. The abbreviation from Fancy Jolene to “F.J.” and her career as a professional quidditch player is a nod to Reba’s role on The Little Rascals, A.J. Ferguson, who was a professional race car driver.

"Momma?" Mimi came down from her room and sat beside her mom by the porch table. "How do you know if a guy likes you? Or if you even like him?"

F.J. blinked at her youngest, the mouthful of sweet tea shewas about to swallow held in her mouth. Mimi? Liked a guy? Just yesterday shewas screaming in the middle of a damn mall about not getting a Barbie doll shewanted. The veela narrowed her eyes slightly and managed to get the tea downbefore setting the glass aside and resting her hands over her stomach.

“I don’t really know, it’s hard to tell when you’re a veela,baby,” she told her, brows raising. “Men tend to generally like you, a bit morethan necessary. It’s just part of your magic.”

She sighed.

“I guess you can really tell if someone likes you if theysee past the fact you’re a veela, like, they’re not droolin’ or tryin’ toimpress you – they’re just nice to you. Wanna spend time with you. That sortathing. I reckon.”

Her eyes narrowed she considered it. F.J. had only ever beenwith Russell seriously. Given he was veela too, it wasn’t easy to tell her daughterhow a human man oughta behave around her. Their magical effect seemed to be alittle less heavy on women, which the redhead preferred.
