I have a friend who is being super controlling and always has to have their way. It's starting to get to me and another friend. When ever we wanna do something fun it always has to get their way, our ideas don't really truely matter and if we say anything we get the "You are in the wrong" type of thing, got any advice?
Have you ever tried sitting down and just talking to your friend? I feel that if the three of you were to talk it out, you could come to a conclusion, or a compromise! You could tell them what you think is hurting the friendship, and propose a solution to it. Sometimes, hinting to them doesn’t work because not everyone can pick up on hints, so personally, I feel that confronting them and talking with them is most effective.
Usually, friends should agree with everything before carrying things out, so that no one feels out of place, left behind, or uncomfortable. Remember, if you’re not feeling comfortable and you just don’t like how you’re being treated, then you have the option to just stop associating yourself with them completely. (But that’s only as a last resort and they refuse to compromise!)
