Excuses are easy.

Establish the inconvenience of the situation to present yourself as unwilling to NOT do homework so willing to do it but unable. As such, seem frustrated you cannot do homework

Present alternative, complicated task requiring immediate attention. "Vice President Angelica Schuyler-Church has recruited me to man Area 32 and I am unable to complete homework"

Minimise importance of homework, i.e., "It's not due until next friday"

Become violent and bite people

Overall I agree with what’s said. But, “Creative writers have an excellent command of English and can translate that into a variety of disciplines.” That’s just laughable. I mean have you met writers? We have the worse way with words ever. (Unless it’s while writing) We google every other word and can barely speak coherently. Yes, I’m exaggerating a little, but I thought it was funny.

You have a mutation that you can tell when people are lying, telling the truth, or giving out half truths/lies. Fury uses you as a hiring manager, adviser or at least to verify if what people are saying is on the up and up. When Loki and Thor arrive they hear you tell Tony “That’s a lie, you need to check his work.” and seeing Tony run to his lab. When the boys meet you, Pepper makes the introduction and as she shows them where they will be staying she tells them “Don’t lie to her, she will find out.”

The first time Loki sees her power in use, he is shadowing her to see what he could be doing (since he wants to do more than be a fighter so he is shadowing different people on what else he could do). Loki knows that the guy they are interviewing for a new position is lying and after the guy leaves she says “He will not be hired and if he keeps lying about knowing [insert name] it will come back to haunt him.” Loki being impressed and wants to know how she does it.

I know it’s a mistake, but there are certain things in life where you know it’s a mistake, but you don’t really know it’s a mistake, because the only way to really know it’s a mistake is to make the mistake, and look back and say, ‘Yep, that was a mistake.’ So, really, the bigger mistake would be to not make the mistake because then you’d go your whole life not really knowing if something is a mistake or not.
