worrisome: kangjoon & tzuyu
@advxkangjoon
The sun has just risen and she is still awake, her laptop snugly over her doona. Her fingers skimmed above the keyboard, as she ended the game with a “GG :)” in the chat, pleased by the outcome of the match. She moved her index finger on the power-button of the laptop and held it there for it to shut down, as if she was suffocating someone until they passed out. Tzuyu placed the laptop to the side and lied down, staring at the wall, not knowing if she should just get ready to wake up or sleep until it was 2 o’clock in the afternoon.
Her eyes were already exposed to the sun, along with the light of her machine and therefore it was going to be hard to fall asleep. With a small sigh, Tzuyu swung her legs over to the edge of the bed and stood up, opening the curtains to let the light take over the shadows of her room. These past few weeks have been the same, staying up so late that the next day has started-- so often that she constantly questions herself if she was an insomniac. After a few mundane tasks, Tzuyu was feeling refreshed and ready to go out for her daily morning walk, which helped her snap out of her “in-bed” mode.
To say it was cold would be an understatement. The morning winter chill within Incheon was freezing and she was hiding behind her down-jacket, on top of her pajamas. The garden was covered in ice sheen, it’s green leaves looking glossy and slick. Whenever she breathed, fog is produced from her lips, physically indicating how cold it was. Still, it was refreshing air and it definitely woke her up-- a version of coffee.
Out of the corner of her eye, there was a figure that caught her attention, because he was the only human there. Although she had seen him around the place before due to their ties in Daybreak Foundation, his name tag was blank within her HUD, because truth be told, she didn’t exactly know him. Tzuyu was close enough to see the bar above of his head and it made her stop in her tracks. It was red-- within it’s critical range, but this man... he didn’t seem to notice his condition. Perhaps he knew the end was coming and he wanted to be at peace? Or maybe he himself did not know?
Wait-- no.
10% had turned into a 11%. Slowly and slowly, the red bar rose up, which surprised the young girl. It was... weird. A miracle-- even. He started to walk away and through her curiosity, she began to follow him. His health bar would continue to increase, much to her fascination. Tzuyu was so focused on the bar’s content that unbeknownst to her, she did not notice that there was a large ice puddle in front of her.
As the soles of her shoe connected with the ice, her whole body lurched forwards and she gave a small yelp, before landing face-first into the bush in front of her, producing small red wounds on her smooth face, the cold not helping as it was stinging and felt numb.
