"Shizu-chan, can I try one?"
The blonde had looked over in surprise, fingers still holding the lit cigarette to his lips when Izaya asked the question. He was staring at him, expression surprisingly innocent as he watched him smoke, no malice, no mockery found in his eyes.
"What?"
The mockery returned as he rolled his eyes. "A cigarette, you protozoan."
Shizuo frowned but left the cigarette between his lips and pulled out a pack from his pocket. Flipping the top open, he held it towards Izaya, letting the raven pick one as he fished out his lighter and handed it to him, repocketing his cigarettes. "You know how to work that?"
"Of course," Izaya answered and lit the lighter instantly with such expertise that Shizuo couldn't help but wonder where he had learned. He reached up, letting the flame touch the end of the cigarette that was between his lips, two slender fingers holding it how he had seen Shizuo do so so many times.
He handed the lighter back and Shizuo smirked as he pocketed it, taking a drag of his and breathing out the smoke. Izaya was frowning and staring at it as if he was trying to figure out the exact function.
"...Do you know how to smoke?"
"Of course I do!" Izaya snapped, glaring at a very amused Shizuo. He took a deep breath and blinked a few times before he began coughing, hacking, pounding at his chest. The cigarette was dropped and Shizuo couldn't help but chuckle, taking another drag as Izaya kept coughing next to him.
"That's..." he stopped to cough again, wincing, "...a disgusting habit, Shizu-chan."
"I know," Shizuo answered and blew out a smoke ring, purposely showing off in front of Izaya.
"...It'll kill you."
The blonde looked over, a smirk pulling on his lips.
"Jealous?"
