I bring to you, a braid of my hair, a crown of may and woodruff from our fields, elderflower champagne and the sunshine from our longest day stoppered in a jar. Because you will always be a summer day to me.
I’ve been staring, starry-eyed, at this for an hour.
I would tie the braid into my own hair, rest the crown upon my head, and curl up with you to drink the champagne in the light of sunshine that won’t burn me to a crisp. ♥
